When you were talking about sewing and the 6 of coins, I automatically thought they looked like little sewing bobbins. Very fun reading! Thanks for your tips, just starting to get into TdM.

Its good to do the daily readings for yourself and others. I see also on the last one you did the your son is in awe and takes much interest of what sewing is and how you can educate him ..that is a really fantastic way of learning situations and people. Around you and the actions that are taken ..gets you in tune with the cards Ty for sharing I love to do something similar!!!

This was really helpful. I just started getting a big interest to work with TdM, since I'm not connecting with the RWS as much as I thought and was more drawn to TdM. This style of reading remi ds me or how I do Lenormand reading, so that might be helpful in getting my mind around TdM. I'm sure I will enjoy exploring the system with this wonderful information at hand.

we traditionally use spreads of 7 cards, sometimes more, it depends on the sequence of the tarot. By "we" I mean in the Italian tradition.

I don't see the 2 of cups as going to parties is more like the 3 of cups for me. Also number 2 indicates choice or decision regarding relationships since they are cups. Or can also be friendship, partnership, etc... The forming of some bond between 2 people.

Very interesting, I read the same deck in much the same way as you. And certainly, Jodorowsky is my main teacher, guide and inspiration. I'm very glad to see you doing 3-card readings not only with just the Majors but with all 78 cards. This allows for great precision in pictorial story-telling. The TdeM is so alive, isn't it? The characters almost seem to move, and their direction of facing or acting is always so meaningful. The TdeM can be trusted in these ways whereas the RIder-Waite for example, cannot. The R-W cards feel flat and dead by comparison. The R-W cards can't be read in pictorial groups of three and they don't have the esoteric depth and life of the TdeM.

Hi! I'm sorry I missed your comment, I'm seeing it only now. Indeed, TdM pictures are just magical, they come alive! :) Thank you for watching!

Thanks for your info! I'm reading a book by Camelia Ellias now. TDM is such an interesting system. Just a question, how do you decide when you want to read with TDM instead of RWS or some other system? Thanks! Lauri xx
@wolfofcoins
@wolfofcoins 6 лет назад
I don't know how I missed your comment! I realized there were several that I was not notified about! Anyway, I rarely read with RWS these days, TdM is my "go to" system. But I sometimes use RWS when I want to use it for something else than a regular spread: for example when I wanted to decide on my problematic cards in Lenormand :D Or for a one card draw. I never do a one card draw with TdM. I hope this helps!
@Lauri_Tarot
@Lauri_Tarot 6 лет назад
Yes that helps! I've been using TDM for readings all this week and, combined with the book, I've been very in the world of TDM. Yesterday I did a RWS spread and forgot how to read RWS. I could almost feel the "computer" in my brain trying to find the location of where the RWS knowledge was stored. It was definitely in a different place from TDM - which I found very interesting.
@wolfofcoins
@wolfofcoins 6 лет назад
Wonderful, your brain is exploring new territories! :)) Yes, I find that after reading with TdM a lot, RWS makes me feel "blind"! I get that "blank" sensation. The style of reading is so different for these systems, so maybe the brain has to change gears to be able to switch between them :D

Hi :) it's been a pleasure finding your page. The cards have always been apart of my life in that I understand some of the meaning but never wanted to read them. Recently I am more drawn to want to read but I dont have a point of beginning, I'm at a loss because I dont know where to start. Then today I felt a strong connect to Marseille de tarot and found your page. Any kind words of advice would be greatly appreciated. Do you think this is the deck for me? How does one begin apart from buying a deck? Thank you for taking the time to read this Charndre

Hi there! :) The learning process is an individual thing - I, for example, am a book person, so I would start with buying a book on reading. But maybe you're more of a video person, then searching RU-vid is a good move! Or you can do both :) I have a whole playlist titled "Tarot de Marseille", you can check it out. There's a video on it about resources helpful when studying Tarot de Marseille too :) Good luck and you can do it!

Hello Magdalena, thank you very much for each of your videos, I learn a lot from you... I wanted to ask you if you could give me some advice on how I could guide the consultant when asking a tarot question... sometimes I feel like I can't. explain to the consultant how to better establish a question.... or some tips so that they can establish better tarot questions.... thank you very much. greetings from Bolivia
@wolfofcoins
@wolfofcoins 4 месяца назад
I think that when reading for someone, it's good to establish what the person would like to know, so if you are not sure, just ask them some questions to make sure you understood them right. The querent mostly just wants an answer, so even if they formulate the question in a way that isn't easy for you to answer with the cards, you can have your own "deal" with the cards to show you what's needed to answer the question. Hope it helps :)

Thank you for the tips! Which TdM deck do you recommend when you are a beginning with this system?
@wolfofcoins
@wolfofcoins 5 лет назад
Hi, thank you for watching! :) I'd say that if you're just starting, a restored and easily available deck would be a good idea (because a restoration has easy to see, clean lines and since you're just starting you probably don't want to invest too much). I think that the Jodorowsky-Camoin or CBD TdM (by Yoav Ben-Dov) are both great choices.

When someone new to tarot de marseille starts doing daily draws should they try to predict the day or just draw the cards and at the end of the day focus on review of the day with the card images in mind?
@wolfofcoins

I think both ways can be good. I would pull cards in the morning and then observe my day, but the other way round also makes sense.

I don't get the tendency to read tarot not by the classic meanings and interpreting shapes and things that mostly were design related than mystical, and ignoring for example that two of cups, the wheel and four of swords like change on a relationship and being lonely ...i learned with a Spanish tarot but then came some geniuses "reinventing the wheel" and saying things like jodorowsky and such... preposterous. Sorry I had to say it, and that I did in your video. But it's like if I were to say that the ship in lenormand suddenly means a pair of jeans or something
@wolfofcoins
@wolfofcoins 2 года назад
I think it's totally OK to stick with meanings that you've learned if it works for you. However, the presented way of reading works for me with TdM, fixed meanings don't. With Lenormand, actually, I am strictly following the fixed meanings, haha :D
@andresricardoalvarezorrego4910
@andresricardoalvarezorrego4910 2 года назад
@@wolfofcoins youre right sorry if I was harsh, I decided to read a book about that way of reading, thats why I didnt answer earlier, but i got to a sample reading of a father who pays more attention to a son (it was represented by hierophant) but then madness came and the moon in the card xviii became the father (because he was dead and "in heaven")..I can't manage that...all though, if it works it works, but its not for me, I would feel like I'm lying. Anyway in the same book some meanings remain similar to the ones I got, I studied Rowena Stuart and a Fleury, and one book that is not on print anymore one from a publisher known as Editorial America titled tarot it came with some cards (ugly by the way) easa was a name on them. Those are the meanings I stick with
@wolfofcoins
@wolfofcoins 2 года назад
@@andresricardoalvarezorrego4910 I find that Jodorowsky's book was best for me once I read it, digested it and forgot a bit what was inside :D Yes, he does have some crazy ideas. Was it in his book?

following this way of reading every card could be everything....a car, a cake, a table, an airplane, a bakery....that's really confusing me....
@wolfofcoins
@wolfofcoins 5 лет назад
That's why the context of the question is so important. The daily draw is only to stretch your brain and make it see all the possibilities. One you're asking a specific question, you'll have a frame for the possible meanings :)
