Another thing that is unique to Kansas City is KCPD is effectively controlled by the state of Missouri, which has its pros and cons. So far in 2024, most crime in the city is down from last year, but there is still plenty of work to be done!
whats up man! Im in kansas city myself and I've worked with some huge real estate guys like Grant Cardone & Ali Omran (2nd largest broker in Dubai right now) - you open for a quick chat?
Kia Boys started in Milwaukee, WI lol I had mine stolen twice until I got the upgrade and the steering wheel lock. I’m in Wisconsin now but probably moving back to KC
Most of all these issues are true of the Midwest and Southwest in general. And you didn’t mention the winters, which also are typical of everywhere in the Great Plains east of the Rockies. Crime? If you’re afraid of crime, stay away from most large cities.
Hey do u know why kc hasn’t done much around the Missouri River? Like usually a water feature right next to downtown would be a huge gathering point but I don’t see many plans for it other than by the KC Current stadium but that’s mainly residential buildings. Idk I think it’s a huge missed opportunity. Also great work on the vids ;)
It has been a huge missed opportunity, but it’s beginning to change. KC Current just began an $800M development of 10 acres along the riverfront. If you watch my interview of Mayor Quinton Lucas I asked him about accessing the riverfront and the vision there.
One additional factor to consider is that a lot of the waterfront area is pretty heavily laden with cliffs, so it's nontrivial to develop most of that land. Additionally, the areas that *are* low-lying next to the rivers are somewhat run-down ex-industrial zones, so while some might like them as they are, anyone expecting a pristine, upscale waterfront will have to wait a while before anything like that really manifests.
