Workflow:
1. First you’ll want to enable the AIA DDx service. You can do this by simply accessing your account in the insight interface and select SERVICES from the drop dowm menu , next to your name.
2. You’ll be prompted to enter your API (Firm) and Client (User) Key. Both of these keys are provided to you by the AIA 2030 Commitment when your firm commits.
3. After you’ve generated an Insight from FormIt or Revit and identified the key factors that are driving energy cost and performance, open the insight and enter the model which contain the data you wish to submit to AIA.
4. From the dropdown menu on the right of your model thumbnail, select Report to AIA DDx. This will bring up the report to aIA DDx form.
5. Then you’ll have the option to review the information that will be reported to the DDx and enter any additional information required for reporting. Grey fields are automated by Insight and white fields can be edited. Note that grey fields will be updated as you make any edits or changes to the model and insight factor settings.
6. Press send, and tah-dah! Your project information will be sent to the AIA DDx interface and you can continue working on designing better buildings.
