This was extremely helpful in understanding the layers of precedent and how it can be both binding and persuasive depending on the breakdown and then the SCOTUS eventually trumping all. Would you be able to use an example that's not federal in its genesis next time? Perhaps tort stemming from from a civil court? Very new to this. Thank you for the clarity and bless you sir.
I understand the difference between the court of appeal for California and for the Federal Circuits, but is the way the court of appeals structured for California the same for the other states? Meaning, will a case in any of the 14 Court of Appeals in Texas be binding to any trial court in Texas? Thanks for the video btw! They're awesome and I really appreciate you!
Hi Eugene! I love your videos and would like to use them in the political science course that I teach. Are the captions provided auto-generated by youtube? There's so many services that provide high quality captions such as 3CMedia and Amara. Then more instructors can use your videos because it is "accessible" and thus compliant with federal laws on using internet materials that are universally accessible for students with disabilities. Message me if you have any questions!
