I mean, whatever happens, you're never going to be out in the woods, surviving unless you choose to. Look at every major conflict in the past century where the population became refugees. They didn't go back to the stone age; I don't think that's even possible. Opening cans and bottles is a far more likely scenario than restarting civilization from clubs and spears.

If you are in survival situation, you don’t need gadgets, you need basic tools and knowledge. Knife - Mora or full tang, skandinavian grind is easier to sharpen, lighter - bic or cricket, rope or 550 cord - 10-30 m, tarp - 3x3m, something to boil water in - 0.6 - 1 L. These are the core. Whistle is optional but useful if you can’t call for help. Never spend money on gimmicks, never rely on them in SHTF situation.

@@mrgold714 again, if you are in real survival mode, all these gadgets are useless gimmicks. You need tools. And basic tools will not clip on your belt. It’s not a toy. Basic knife, basic rope, basic tarp or tent, warm clothes, something to boil water in, firestarters (rod, lighters). Other items depend on situation. I’m in the woods for 2-4 days a week, i’ve never met any situation where gimmicky gadgets were useful. But people always ask me for knife, lighter, rope, axe, saw. Tools will save your life if used properly, gadgets won’t. If you need multitool, get yourself robust one. It’s good general helper if you fix a lot of stuff in the country or around the house

You wouldn't happen to know if the handle and Head is 1 solid piece, do you? I have a problem with these types of axes that are not 1 solid piece and I end up breaking the handle off from the head after an hour or 2 of chopping. I'm just clearing areas out not bringing down an Oak tree.

From what I seen, it looks like the head and handle are held together with screws making them technically multiple pieces, not 1 solid piece..

If I know I'm going to be in a survival situation I want full sized equipment. A knife with fulll tang at least 5" . A full sized multitool . At least 3 ways to start a fire, etc.

Yea that is good idea to advertise illegal items in public and not forgotten concealed onces. You cant mask dangerous item to something else because you want to use it somewhere else. Walking cane that contains knifes and other sharp objects that can use to harm some one is illegal to carry no matter where you are

All you need is a Rambler Swiss Army Knife and the fireant ferro rod replacement for the toothpick.

Seriously though. Ferro rods are silly. They take the components of a BIC lighter and separate them to make it seem more primitive and rugged. You won't find ferrocerium in nature, but you will find it in a BIC lighter, which also comes with fuel.

It's a shame I did not see the Alaskan toilet in this video. It's any real man's must-have. An Alaskan toilet consists of two sticks. You stick one in the snow and hold on to it in order not to be blown away by the wind when doing your business, and use the other one to fight off the polar bears.

Waste of money. Get a real muli tool loke a Leatherman Surge. 21 tools that actually work. Toss it in your backpakc ofnslip on a belt. Carry a large knife and or tomahawk in your backpack. Carry 2 to 3 liters of water. 5 or 6 brand new Bic lighters. Beacon locator. A sat phone. And a large caliber handgun.
