I also backed the dc controller. I haven’t been able to receive it because my country has closed up mail services because of covid 😬. I also backed their 64 controller and was so pleased I had to have the dc one haha.
The console that got way to little love. It has got lots of quality games. All the Sega Arcade conversions are a must have at least. Some nice couch coops on it as well, like Dynamit Deka/Dynamit Cop.
I don't own a Dreamcast, but I know which controller I'm buying when I do get one. The cord coming out the front is KEY! Quality of life upgrades like that are awesome.
Imagine a mmo mech game where there are massive arenas/playing fields and you could earn exp/money to buy upgrades for your mech. And if they had 10 to 15 base models with hundreds of upgrades for each, that would be one hell of a game
zero gunner 2 is stunning on the dreamcast, you play a futuristic version of helicopters the compache, apache and hokum gunships and can turn like a chopper in a shootemup.
GOD DAMN RIGGS!! 4 Hello Kitty Games?!?! Try these instead my brother!! - Zusar Vasar - Napple Tale - Segagaga - Space Channel 5 Part 2 - LOL: Lack of Love
You know I actually herd of cool cool toon through a gaming magazine! the only reason I know about that is because They also brought up a cartoonist who would do X rated movies!
There's a mode in the WWE 2K games, that let's you play classic matches and asks you to recreate moments from the match for rewards, it also includes video clips. I think this has been a feature of 2K games for a while at least as far back as WWE 2K13, with the Attitude Era Mode, there was a 30 years of Wrestlemania mode in 2K14 also.
Love that Cotton game (Been great year plus of resurgence for her, Umihara Kiwase, and Pochi/Metal Max thanks to Success) Great call with that PuyoPuyo rhythm game too, I never heard of that and want to try it out now. Watching it I saw the fish leg guy and characters that reminded me of one of my fav SNES RPG imports no one ever talks about- that kinda started puyo puyo too- Madou Monogatari Hanamaru. Please Riggs, patch that with English fan translation and play- it was such a fun, relatively short- but quirky, colorful RPG I really loved that and had zero expectations!
It's a crime that none of the Cotton games made it stateside (except maybe one on the TurboGrafx, but I could be wrong) and Rainbow Cotton was easily the best of them. It felt like Starfox meets Nights. Also, Trigger Heart was ported to XBLA, that's when I finally got to play it.
Fun fact. I got my Dreamcast for free. 2 controllers, a VMU, and 2 rumble packs! Oh, and Sonic Adventure, Tomb Raider, Web browser 1.0, and the Demo disc!
Tech Romancer, Puyo Puyo 4, Jet Set Radio, Powerstone (1 and 2), Shenmue and Grandia II are all worth checking out if you haven’t already covered them!
I’ve been watching a ton of game reviews lately and must say yours have been the BEST! Lots of details on the games and studios who made them! The bessssst!
I've recently gotten into retro gaming I've picked up a retron 3 (I plan on getting all 3 real consoles here soon) I've also got a n64 but I've been thinking about getting a Sega Dreamcast.
The SEGA Dreamcast is still on my top 1 list to get. One for OG condition and one for modding. Playing the games (i am very new to the platform) from time to time on the emulator so these tips are very handy. Thank you. If you love Borderdown you definitly love Sturmwind on the SDC.
Damn Riggs! You’ve been pumping out some fantastic import videos lately. You have such a fantastic knowledge of so many amazing imports.....please keep Sharing the wealth. ;)
Thanks for sharing, I gave me Dreamcast up a few years ago to my nephews, but recently was able to get another one, I also picked up a GDEMU, once I get that installed will check out some of these games👍
Imo the Saturn was the best Sega console, better than the Dreamcast. Saga goofed up in various aspects with the Dreamcast, like they shouldn't made it to run dvd like the ps2 instead of CDs like the PS1, that hindered its competitiveness. Also the controller although an innovative shape, that would later give origin to the greatest controller ever made the Xbox controller (my opinion), it's uncomfortable to hold and play for any longer time
I have a disc called Cheats 'N Codes volume 1 for Dreamcast. I bought it on Amazon. You start the Dreamcast with this disc in it. When it prompts you, you take it out and replace with the Japanese or PAL disc then the game will start.
