13 Year Old Silver Fish Last Day 2024. His partner died three years ago and he stopped eating until we got him 4 silver dollar babies to cheer him up. He lived happy with them. Today they are saying good bye to him. He stopped eating 10 days ago. Life span is about 10 years, and 12 yr when they are well taken care of. Oldest silver dollar fish I have heard of was 17. Our old man survived a move from California to Washington when he was 2 yrs old. Him and his partner traveled in the cabin of the moving truck in a small fish bowl. We set up their fishtank as soon as we arrived to the new house. All fish survived except for one small fish that died the night before at the hotel.
Update: he lasted one day breathing on the bottom of the tank. He died the next morning. Good bye sweet little soul.
