they achieved 60 successful launches of Falcon 9 in 2022. This year, they are trying for 100 launches, including falcon heavy and starship. Which is mindboggling. When you start thinking about the possibilities with a starship system that's even quicker to turn around (goal is to have a rocket launch, return, be serviced, and launch again within 24 HOURS), space exploration will take on a dimension that very few people are aware of now.

Same, nice to see, I hope they're learning a lot and are able to put it to good use. Doesn't change my opinion on Musk, dude's still an overhyped, immature manchild with a god complex and too much money for his own or anyone else's good, but at least one thing he made has the potential for a positive long-term effect. Maybe. We'll see.

I'm from the spacecoast too and it more like every 3 to 4 days there's a launch but SpaceX. Its and amazing feat. My hat off to all the ladies and gentlemen at SpaceX. 😳👏👏

so very wrong a falcon launch costs customers about 67 million USD but that's because that price is just below the competitors. they make huge margins many of these lauches are from spaceX themselves for starlink and they have their own price down at about 10-25 million a launch(might be even lower) they don't need to make a new first stage every launch. so they make a lot of second stages which is a lot cheaper than the second.

When you have customers lined up, especially the military, that sure helps

that's actually how he made his money, because his rockets are re-usable they're way cheaper than everyone else's and have higher flight cadence.

Semi automatic firearms fire a round then prepares the next to be fired.... automatic firearms don't just prepare them it continues to release the firing pin therefore continuously firing rounds until the trigger is released(anyone possessing one of these in the states needs a class 3 firearms license issued by the ATF) A double action revolver (a cowboy gun)is technically semi automatic and they have been around since the 1800s that any law abiding citizen can legally procure with a simple criminal background check

Theoretically. Starship is years away from this kind of launch cadence even if it actually does replace falcon9, which is still doubtful. The refueling cadence for a mars fleet mission is 30 years away

​@@ThatSB ignore the Mars aspect for a moment, Starship will be delivering so much more mass that anyone has ever achieved in a single launch. The customer base will be huge, and space access will be cheap. If all goes to plan, I really would expect them to launch at least as often as F9.

@@ThatSB if starship isn’t able to get the orbital flight done successfully this year I don’t see why it would take them 30 years to design a refuelling system. 10-15 years seems realistic.

@@yunowa5044I have helped people my whole life, and I am poor. No one is helping me now that I am old and sick, but I did the right thing. It is the Christian thing to do. If I were worth a trillion dollars I would build HUD housing in every city. I would build modular mini homes. I would have plastic panels preformed in stacks that assembled into mini houses. Lightweight, durable, and I would make self contained stove / heating/ hot water modules that would be simple and efficient and enough for 1 person. I would use my money to build HUD high-rises for disabled people and they would have an on site manager and psychiatrist and therapist, and maintenance worker, a a security officer, 1 of each per 100 people. And I would build a bunch of these around a central mess hall, with connecting walkways between each building and the mess hall. I would have 3 meals a day at cost. Imagine how much we could save doing this. So you have a 1000 people who are coming to have breakfast and lunch and dinner each day. We can serve them just like on a Navy ship. Just like on base. Good nutrition and low cost. I would negotiate a good deal with HUD that would reduce the requirements in the apartments, since I would be feeding them every meal, they don't need a kitchen. No stove, no refrigerator, and Central boilers and HVAC. Hot water AC and heat included in the rent along with 3 meals a day. I would even have a store at each facility. A central store that you can order supplies, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc I would have touch screen terminals in every apartment that people would use to access services and that the facility would use to communicate with them. Each person would have their email and other services on the touch screen. I would sell the good like toothpaste and toilet paper at cost. Everything would be just enough to break even, so they would all operate with a slight loss. The money a normal real estate company would make off the rent, I would use to feed the people. I would have a good will store on site at every facility, so people could drop off clothing and anything else they don't want. I would have the clothing and other basic items available at no charge. People would be able to get 7 outfits when they arrive, and 2 pair of shoes. Anything else of value I would sell, just like Good WILL does. And the people who live at the apartments could work onsite, doing janitorial, or cooking, or working at the goodwill, or other jobs that are needed. They would not have access to the office or maintenance, but there are other positions, and anyone that wanted to work I would make sure they could. For the people who are defective that just can't take care of themselves, thru would have a safe place to live and be fed. I would try to partner with a medical company to have on site clinics. I would absolutely have 12 step programs every day, multiple times a day. So people could have support from others Imagine how much better society could be And I would not be losing money. I would do exactly what property management companies do. I would take out loans to build and the loans would be paid every month. At the very least this would get people who have section 8 into apartments. Instead of having 10 year waiting periods Imagine how much difference this would make. In a city of 30,000 people having 1500 low income housing apartments for single individuals and older couples with no kids. And a percentage of the apartments would be set aside for emergency housing. For women who are in abusive situations. Not a 1 or 2 week shelter, but an actual long term apartment. And once you have the apartment, you stay, even if you don't have a way to pay. Your social security or whatever income you have gets paid into the account of the facility and we deduct the rent and deposit the rest into your account. The rent includes HEAT, HOT WATER, A/C, ELECTRIC and the touch screen terminal, which would double as a TV that received over the air TV stations. The facility would buy power at the corporate rate. And the rent includes 3 meals a day. This means that each apartment would have the maximum allowable rent rate from Section 8. Many people can't get an apartment because they are 1 person and the maximum rate for an apartment is 350 a month Nowhere in America is there an apartment for 350 But, with heat, hw, electric, and meals included, the rate goes up to 700 a month. That is what rich people should do. They should find ways to make America better, through spending a tiny bit of money Nothing I have described here is hard to do. I worked for a company, and they built a beautiful office building for their executives. 24 executives, and the building on the first floor had an executive dining room For 24 people They had 2 chefs and 2 assistants I was told I could have breakfast lunch and dinner there because I was working 16 hour days and they needed me to stay on site. I couldn't believe how nice it was. They had so many choices for meals They cooked me whatever I wanted When I was there on my last day, I went in and thanked each person in the dining room. I told them how much it meant to me that they cooked for me. They were thankful and they told me, not once did anyone ever thank them If we can have an executive dining room that seated 100 people for 24 people with 4 cooks, and a full storehouse of food, we absolutely can do this for poor people and make it part of the rent. I still think about how nice it was to have people cook for me. Imagine going to work and you have a dinning room and they make you 3 meals a day. That's CRAZY Do you think any of the thousands of employees at their other buildings around the area had a dinning room ? They didn't even have a break room or vending machines. I spent time where the 1% live. An area the size of NYC and only 10,000 people lived there. They had over 4000 retail BUSINESSES there They had 2 Walmarts and 2 Home Depots And every store you can think of And, in the grocery stores they had what looks like a Starbucks, with coffee and tea and soda and donuts and pastries, cakes, etc. And I poured myself a cup and I took a little plate and picked a pastry and I looked around, and I saw the store manager and I asked " where do I pay ? Do I just go up to the register ? " And he said " no sir, this is all free " Many businesses had free coffee and pastries I couldn't believe how much free stuff they gave The Home Depot, and I have been to many, none of them ever had this. They had a guy cooking hot dogs and hamburgers and giving them for free, with soda, free THESE PEOPLE ARE THE TOO 1% OF EARNERS IN AMERICA THEY ARE WORTH TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS EACH THEY DON'T NEED FREE FOOD WHY ARE THEY GETTING FREE FOOD ??!!! HOW ABOUT WE FEED THE POOR ?! THEY DON'T NEED 12 Houses THEY ONLY Live IN A WEEK OUT OF THE YEAR. 6 million dollar house I worked on, they spent 1 week a year. 1 week a year. The rest of the time it sat empty They called me in to reprogram the security system The guy was a VP for a global corporation The house was 4 stories. 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bathrooms. 3800 square feet. Lives there 1 week out of the year. TV in the living room cost 12,000 dollars Do you see what I am saying ?!! They won't give the employees a raise of 5 cents, but he made me spend 8,000 dollars special ordering the metal rings under the burners on the stove, because they were tarnished. They didn't make them any more Stupid me, I picked up ones at Walmart for 20 dollars Oh no, they have to be exact same ones it came with They don't make them, no problem, money is no object I contacted a company in China and had to send them the specs They were not perfect 4 times, so 32k later we had the exact same thing as it came with Now here is the kick to the chest, 6 months later he redid the kitchen, 800k for a new kitchen and threw out the perfectly fine stove and everything else The things they throw away I said, hey you can sell this for 200 dollars when they were getting a new DVR. I listed it and sold it in a day and they had to make arrangements for the person to get through all the security I gave them the 200 dollars They said Don't do that ever again It was too much of a pain in the ass They would rather throw things out than sell them because they hate dealing with regular people I had to leave for 12 hours the night they had a fund raiser for the governor and senator 80 people in there all super wealthy Just incredible seeing how e 1% lives They really hate us I spent 4 hours keying in the hexadecimal code into the keypad and he kept asking me if I could be done because the beeping was annoying Ungrateful I didn't get paid for that job That's a common thing, they don't ever pay anyone The smart people get paid upfront I was not smart
