Soldiers from the 1st Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment have marked their homecoming from overseas operations with a parade though Leeds.
About 130 soldiers marched with bayonets fixed and colours flying.
Most have family in Yorkshire and recently returned to their base in Germany after six-month tours in Iraq and Kosovo.
Friday's parade was one of a series held by the regiment in towns and cities across Yorkshire this week.
The soldiers' parade started at the Civic Hall and ended in Millennium Square, where they were greeted with a round of applause.
The battalion deployed to Basra in Iraq in November 2008 as part of the UK's mission to train the Iraqi army to provide security for the country.
The Yorkshire Regiment's 'B' Company deployed to Kosovo last September as part of the wider Nato mission.
Formed in 2006, the regiment is amalgamation of three units - The Green Howards, the Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire and The Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
