Location - Alappuzha .Malayil House
This Malayil heritage home is located in Thathampally, Alapuzha. This was constructed by late Malayil Ouseph Mathai .He was a spices,traider, Rubber planter and Member of SreeMoolam Assembly .Overtime,was carried down to generations.

I would like to thank the family who has preserved the past. That means respecting their traditions and heritage with pride. Our families demolished old homes to transit to the new modern homes which is not eco friendly. With education architects have spoilt the environmental lifestyle. When we look back around the world the generation the past were not highly qualified but they always built home prevalent to their weather.

Omg what a breathtaking vlog I was totally amazed as to how one kept up with the maintenance and still hold onto the ancestral belongings just too awesome. Heritage well preserved... maintenance & upkeep is the challenge... the soul of the tharavad is the memory of all who lived there..infants,children, parents, grandparents...making the house truly a home...

The main reason for this 130 year old tharavad is because of excellent vastu...it stood the test of time. Our ancestors were knowledgeable in every aspect of life
