Remembering my roots and where it all started, I once put together my own rc balloon envelope but this monster is almost double the size! Created, home sewn and flown by the incredible Dave & Hazel Boyle at Buzzb's & High Sky Action, they have created quarter scale replicas of full size balloons for both pilots and clients of companies. A few big companies used to facilitate full size balloons to get their brand noticed and some still do to this day, model ballooning however is a far cheaper and easier way to get their advertising into the forefront of marketing. They are sometimes able to be flown indoors and get the brand where the big balloons can't. The costs to fly and store are minimal and the opportunities for unique advertising is great! Rc ballooning is technically where my pilot story began and I still occasionally fly my model when together with my model friends from time to time.
