I love your videos, they are like therapy! I have seen a guy on RU-vid who makes underwater resin scenes. He sticks everything down with UV glue and sets it with a UV torch. It will stop your whales from rising to the top.
Lol, the whales are blowing bubbles, they're supposed to be there. 😉 So satisfying when you cleaned up the edges with the sand. Can't wait to see when you turn them over. Ohhhhh, I love them! They look sooooooo awesome. Love the look through the side...... hmmmmmm pendant that is only the layers? Make sense? Sounds like that would be cool looking. Take care, Julie.
I love them, I love the colour of the water, it's so beautiful 😍 and the little whale is so sweet, you just keep astounding me with the endless ideas you have, it's amazing too how prolific you are Julie. Wow, wonderful idea and so inventive 👏❤🐋
Yes you are correct about doing a layer putting them on after a while and then pouring on top of them. There is an account on Instagram that she does a lot of pieces that require things to be placed in them and that’s pretty much what she always does and it sure made it a whole lot easier on my end also
Some people use UV resin to stick things down before using other resin. It's great because you can set it with a UV flashlight really easily. You do have to be careful what you use though, because some things don't react with some kinds of the resin very good. For these coasters, I wish you had put more sand in the middle of them. They still look pretty good though. Good video 👍
Very cute idea. Love the white sand and the whale. I actually don’t mind the bubbles around the whale because it’s like the bubbles made from them breathing 😄
I bought me some of those blue things after seeing you use them. This is what I ordered. Eyelash Extension Microbrush Disposable Tattoo Makeup Brushes Cotton Swabs Stick with Plastic Handle, Blue
Thanks again for another great video. My moulds arrived yesterday faster than expected and I have already used them. The Druzy mould has made an amazing sparkle on my piece.
Hmm... I think that if you try this again maybe you should save a bit of clear resin and pour that just over the little bit of the top terrace to avoid tinting that part blue. Possibly you could use a toothpick dipped in white paste to simulate waves near the island? The whales turned out looking really cute and any bubbles near them just made it more realistic, like they had dived back down after coming up for air. As for the sand, I think you needed practically equal parts sand and resin to fill it in easily, or maybe "painting" a layer of resin and sprinkling sand on top before filling with the mixed sand and resin to the top. Either way, they did turn out great in the end. 👍
Love the idea of the whales. I found a little dried out rock crab and looks great. Made frig magnet size. Small sizes are good for experimenting . Thank you for the tips.
Hi, Happy New Year to you and yours! I have purchased these amazing coasters from your Ebay site and wondered where you get your sand and did you have to wash it a number of times? Many thanks Julie! Take care
Hi Ms Julie!! I have been trying to find the miniature whales/sea creatures you use and can’t find them anywhere. I’m in the US and have searched Amazon but they’re all so big!
Just do it baby girl ! 🙂❤🥰👌🥳🥳🥳 You can do it! I can't wait to start doing it. Just need to get all the material and it's so exited Sending my love to you all Have a blessed Holidays and have a happy and blessed new year ✨ ❤ 🥰😘
I think the whales look adorable in these! As for the bubbles, being ocean themed, I think they add to it. I don't mind them one bit in anything ocean themed. 💜💜💜
