@susanpickup9497
@susanpickup9497 2 года назад
She very rarely replies to questions, so I will tell you how I do it and my reason, if that is any interest to you. I put the runniest into the container first. The runniest is the hardener. My thinking is that the runniest, or more fluid liquid, will not sit on the bottom of the container, as a thicker liquid would, and will make it easier to mix in the other part. So runniest (hardener) in first, then mix in the thickest (resin) , trying to not incorporate too many bubbles. This is just my method and reasoning, but others may have a different opinion.✌️🤪

Just one little tip. Sometimes when you spray with alcohol in your mold before you put anything in. Kind of wipe it out. Because that can ALSO create a skin on your alcohol inks with resin. In other words it may not have been your pinata inks at all. But in your preparation💗😘💗

This video was so helpful! I’m especially grateful for that comment about Piñata inks. I’ve noticed that skin/film on some of my pieces, but since I almost always use multiple types of pigment when I mix colors, so I didn’t know what was causing it. I’m so envious of your success with the bloom technique! I’ve only attempted it half a dozen times, but I’ve been so unhappy with the results I feel like I’m just wasting resin at this point. I used Piñata inks for most of them though, and they seem to spread too far compared to the ink you’re using. Instead of distinct areas of color, I end up with a single uniform blob. 🤮 Maybe I’ll give it one more try with different inks and a different resin.
