we installed Tow Mirrors on a 2015 Chevy silverado without buying the extra wiring harness, and came across some issues along the way.

Problem was tapping into the fuse box, most of those you’re gonna find are ignition switched. The switching of the actual accessory is on the head light switch. So that fuse remains hot all the time. The relay on the other hand would would theoretically

I’ve got these same mirrors with same 3 wires I am in process of installing them and I believe you can run them straight to the door wire harness plug and pin them in the connector. But we’ll see

You could run the reverse wire to the reverse lights and tap it in to that

I wish the video explained where exactly you plugged in your wires and where did you come across/buy the set of wires. It’s good to know it’s possible doing it without a harness that’s going to cost $100 or more.

@@andrewarana3849 yea I’m not wanting to buy a harness either I’d rather splice / wire it myself etc, can’t figure it out yet, my blinkers don’t work off just plugging in the harness from the factory door to the aftermarket tow mirrors

The 4 screws coming out of the towing mirrors. It's optional to unscrew them out. That's why the tips are squared. What I did with mine rather then drilling. But good work guys

How did you get the cargo lights to turn on when in reverse? I’ve watched the end a few times and can’t catch that detail

Use the paint code to get the same paint and then just do the top cap piece in the same color like the factory mirrors were. And thanks appreciate it!

can somebody help me.. i have a 2015 LT without the ambers in the oem mirrors, i want tow mirrors with the amber led, do i need any additional wiring harnesses or to wire something to make that happen or can i just plug it right into the oem mirror harness?

I have aftermarket Tow Mirrors on my 15 Silverado. Mostly plug and play but the Day Running Lights and Revers lights on the Mirrors don't work. I'm planning on looking I to that tomorrow and see if I can get them to work without a Harness. Worst comes to worst I'll hard wire the Amber Daytime running/Blinker lights into the Blinkers or headlights themselves and se with the reverse lights on the Mirror I'll try and keep you updated as I figure it out

Props bros to doing it yourself, but fuk that...just pay 💰 a professional to do it. Not need to be a cheapass right. But nonetheless , respect since you have the confidence to do it yourself, so i cant troll you too hard here ;)
