What an impressive little processor! This unit is the entry level processor, but it is still packed with options and has plenty of power to get it done. ALL hydraulic setup: Hydraulic live deck & conveyor, no winches or cables. It honestly sets up in minutes. Hydraulically adjustable splitting wedge. Hydraulic top drive drag chain conveyor with speed control and F-N-R. ALL of these features are STANDARD and NOT options. Only upgrade on this unit is the Oil Cooler & 26.5hp Kohler EFI motor.

Hi im Jose from Dover Delaware I see you have all the right tools the only suggestion I have is when you split the wood it should go straight into your IBC totes this way you handle the wood less and speeds up your productivity good luck with your chanel.

Whenever we are processing, the pieces go straight into the bulk bags. I don’t handle the wood any more than necessary. This video we had a bag hung directly behind the conveyor.

Just used what we had. I opted for size over crooked. It does the nasty stuff too. The rounded log trough is really nice to work the dog legged stuff.

How’s the lift capacity on that toolcat? Does it do good with 16-20 foot logs?

the lift capacity is fair. Approx 2,000#'s. The main weakness is the bucket curl. Only one small cylinder to curl it back. Other than that we love the Toolcat. Its probably our most used piece of equipment!

the second log was red oak, and it definitely had some knots in it. It did well with it! I would not recommend the 8-way, but the 6-way handled what we tossed at it.

What is the fuel consumption per hour for the 20 hp as per the 26 hp? I own a Hudson badger with the 20 hp Briggs engine. For home us only. I am thinking of selling it and buying the Brute

Can the live deck be used as a log lift as well or is it just a deck?

It can be lowered and have a set of “log dogs” installed to shuttle the logs up to the in feed chain.

As of 6-13-21 it’s $29,995. Currently there’s a $1500 steel surcharge on it. This is the HD model with the larger engine and oil cooler.

I sell around 225 full cords a year, can I afford one of these machines? Im frankly killing myself by cutting still with a chainsaw. Plus it takes me around 4 to 5 hours to cut split and load a full cord by myself.

If you’re doing 225 full cords a year and for round numbers same / $200 per cord that’s a revenue stream of $45,000. I know there’s other expenses to be figured in but if you had a payment of $750 payment per month / $9000 a year. I’d tend to think the 14-24 is a no brainer. HORRIBLE design on wedge holder. It’s only one failed pin away from a wedge flying off the trailer at 70 miles an hour going down the highway and killing somebody.
