14 days since I left Paris : how am I doing ? 

A) I loved the olive oil video. 2) Some viewers get stuck in their expectations of a channel and are disappointed when a creator "strays" from that. But for myself, I'm more inclined to lose interest in a channel when the creator starts chasing views and stray from who they are and what they love. I understand you're committed to making this your job and that certainly brings specific challenges and considerations. But I truly believe, if you hold true to yourself and what you love, you're going to thrive. This new subscriber appreciates the work you put into your creations. And I know this is easy for me to say, but please don't be discouraged by the occassional video that doesn't do as well as you expect. It's part of the gig. You'll be OK. ❤

Arielle, this is your channel. You will never please everyone. Your content should represent you and the things that bring you joy. I loved the tour, your apartment hunting as well as your stressful situation dealing with the mold, sinus infections etc. People want authenticity, so just be your delightful self!

This makes me want to move to Greece, meet wonderful people, and be a part of a loving community. Keep doing you and you will succeed! Don’t give up.

First i cannot believe your last video did not score big--really big. I loved that video. I really like this video. They are both so real. Both reveal such a different aspect of you. I hope you will go back to Paris & spend a lot of time reflecting on everything you learned about yourself--the things that surprised you (why did they surprise you? did you like the surprise?), the things that you had in this little village in Greece that meant the most to you & how can you make those things a part of your life even if you aren't in Greece. I hope that perhaps you & Jean can go to this village to help George & experience it together next year. I know there are lots of olive farms in France. The best olives I have ever had were warm from sitting in a barrel in the sun & were served in a paper cone in Nice. You could almost taste them growing. I think your soul has a lot to say to you right now. Please take the time to listen.

I started watching your videos a while back because they were different than most. There are a ton of day in the life videos and most are all the same. Everyone doing the same, drinking the same, buying and wearing the same. I loved your Greece videos but especially the olive farm one. That's when I actually subscribed to your channel. I am not sure I watched that video... however, you might want to forward it to some colleges where farming is part of the criteria as it would certainly be a very interesting option for students who share your passion for farming. Also, it could be a matter of timing as there is so much going on in the world right now, people are focused on the updates...I know I have been. So cheer up....I love to see what you are doing and I am sure other do too...😊❤😊

It's your channel and your view of your life and experiences. You are wonderful for sharing how you approach/feel/analyze your journey. Simply stay authentic to your path and don't worry so much. You are giving so much insight to others and it is a contribution. Over time you will of course change your style, message and focus; that's called growth and life maturation, it's a natural evolution. Allow this to happen and enjoy what you can of it. We just visited Paris last week, and it was lovely. We speak a few words in French, but most people would go out of their way to help you. Just stand on a corner, looking at a map, with a look of confusion on your face, a d someone will offer assistance. Very friendly folks that are eager to assist.

It's not you; it's RU-vid that's the problem. More specifically, it's RU-vid's algorithms. Because your content is different from before, it's not popping up automatically. At least, it wasn't for me. Only because you mentioned in this video the video you made about olive oil did I know to go and look for it -- and I really enjoyed it! (Will comment there too.) You did a great job! I'm not sure what you can do to 'outsmart' the algorithm so it will consistently put your content in front of viewers. Perhaps other RU-vidrs will be able to help you with that. I often watch "Raising Voyagers." They will sometimes tell viewers to look for their upcoming video because it's not their typical content and so the algorithm may ignore it. Anyway ... keep it up! Your good energy is infectious and much needed now in this world!

This might be out of the blue but I think you’d lovvvee the south of France. The way you’re speaking about the people there reminds me of the people I met in the Côte d’Azur

I am loving this series. I grew up on the farm. I can’t say it felt very glamorous. It was hot in the United States during the summer when farming was at its peak, and it was exhausting. I certainly did not ever want to be a farmer after that lol I do Gardens, and I enjoyed that process that’s it. I could feel your heart tug when you spoke about having to leave I would feel the same way.

Maybe your authentic self is a combination of country and city life. I like the travel videos. Would really like to see how a small community does the socializing, the food etc.

There's nothing wrong with your videos showing variety. I really enjoyed your video with George but you could also mix it up with the food and social aspects of the place you are in. Being that your focus had been Paris it's understandable that some of your viewers want the Paris content more. Give it time.

My Dear, you are the niche! We are pleased with you! And your level of excellence!!! Inject a few popular what's in my bag videos, only because you 'have to pay the rent' and this is a business, but overall, stay true to who you are! This is nor a sprint , or a cookie cutter box, this is a marathon, a career!

I should have commented on the olive oil video but I’ll say it here. I’ve loved all of your content but that video was by far my favorite. I could tell how much work you put into it but just to hear the joy in your voice was so amazing. It’s clear that the video was a passion project and not just content. Keep doing what interests you, you have a gift, use it. 😊

I loved your olive oil video, but just remember that the entire world is OBSESSED with Paris. That was what drew me to your channel tbh... That may be your bread and butter lies but make the content that makes you happy 🙂

Might I suggest not creating in a vacuum. Ive watched my other YTers channels blow up with collabs. Maybe its an organic farming community you need. For example, here in the US theres a woman named Marjorie something who's a farming homesteader. I would think she would love to have you - all you YTers need content. Also, even if annoying, Nathaniel Drew does extremely eclectic Paris-based videos and has the benefit of being an insightful guy. When I was a tv reporter in the 80's my most produced pieces were often the worst rated. Video is a grind. But you have "it" my heart. Wear your sunblock. Take it easy on yourself.

How does any of this work, just hopping around different countries and being able to legally work ? Again, I thought you had to get a work visa or have some sort of sponsorship for a job. I dont get it. How long as you able to stay in Greece like this, legally?

I think you might need to give yourself some grace in that I don't think that many of us are "holding" you to one type of video...take the time to explore different ideas and interests...I don't think you need to lock yourself in to one specific niche. Do YOU!! You are a multifaceted young women so that should open a lot of doors onto other areas you can explore....be patient with yourself.

Hmm, I looked at your channel and it doesn't seem that the Olive video is the poorest performer. Instead of assuming that viewers didn't like the content, perhaps the algorithm didn't show the thumbnail to some of your subscribers. You've been doing YT for a while, and I wonder if you should take an objective look at who is your audience? If you deviate from your typical content, what will capture your subscribers' interest? Also, objectively select keywords, the thumbnail, headline on the thumbnail, title, and description. I am interested in Greece and recently watched a video about visiting an olive farm, the harvest, pressing the olives, and the presentation of the farm's products in the village store. Sometime after I watched that video, your Olive video was recommended by YT. All that to say, just because well-crafted content from your heart isn't receiving huge watch stats, doesn't mean it is the fault of the content. You just need to work out the mechanics of grabbing the algorithm's attention.

Sounds like you miss traditions and things ut not really the place ...hard to work out but you will realize where you should be and what you want .
