In today's video, shop with me for my dollhouse as I walk around Hobby Lobby. Christmas is the best time to shop and I'll show you great places to grab 1/12 or 1:12 scale dollhouse miniature items. I'll also give you a tour of one of my dollhouses, the Christmas Cottage! It's all decked out for a miniature holiday. I love the idea of scrapbook paper as flooring,real carpet is just too much! I have been successful using very small braided coasters as area rugs and once I found a computer mouse pad at a thrift shop that looked like a very realistic,vintage Oriental rug,it even had a velvet texture.(maybe some velvets would work.) My friend did something awesome with her dollhouse,she cut a hole at the back of her fireplace and lined a chimney up the outside with stainless steel.( or maybe it was just aluminum foil?) She bought a box of balsam incense cones and when she lit one and blew it out and sat it in the fireplace,wonderful smelling smoke would come out of the top of the chimney. She never left it unattended but it was safe and beyond adorable!🥰🔥

Thank you very much, Robin! I'm know you can make a dollhouse. You don't need to make everything either; there is so much out there you can buy! I had a slight edge on the books; I took a bookbinding class in college.
