EC Academy i understand that... But when I = I (dss) i think the chanel is closed because the depletion reason is widening and prevent the electrons from flowing... So why the Ids not decrease to 0??? Where was i wrong or how the ids continue to remain in idss??please explain that to me thanks
What is the physical process that reduces the maximum current? I mean, what happens to the minority and the majority carriers in the depletion regions when you apply a negative Vgs? Does the current decrease because Vgs now pulls the electrons backwards?
I don't understand, first Source was negative and electrons flowed to the positive Drain. Then you connect positive to source, how does that work? positive to Source and Drain?
It is similar to n channel JFET… only the polarities changes and explanation remains the same…. Hope this is helpful… Do subscribe and keep supporting EC Academy ✌️
Both the deletion region does not touch each other, it appears as if both are touching each other. There will be narrow gap between both the depletion region hence the amount of charge flow between the region will become constant… hence current become constant.
