Can I admit that I've become addicted to your reviews? I absolutely love your descriptions and recommendations. I purchased Si Fiori based on this video and another one of yours on a blind purchase. OH MY, I'm in LOVE. I can't stop smelling my wrist. This is a fragrance that I would have never ever found on my own. It's very difficult for me to test fragrances in person as I always wind up with a scent induced headache! Thank you for this video - Si is absolutely lovely!
Hi Teressa! 🥰 Thank you soooo much! 💖 I'm very glad to hear the reviews are helpful and that you have found some winners for yourself. Testing fragrances definitely fatigues the nose and can give one a headache for sure. I appreciate the feedback. 😁😁😁
You KNOW that this is making my heart sing, and I haven't even hit play yet! I will be back. I LITERALLY can't wait! YAY! I started my day trying to manifest a video from you that I could watch with my cappuccino, but you knew better, and now I get a video for after supper. I'm so disproportionately pleased at this turn of events! YAY!
My favorite powdery scent is Lalibela by Memo Paris. It's a powdery floral, with whiffs of coconut and tobacco. But sometimes I love L'Artisan Drole de Rose, Pink Iris by Abel, Helmut Lang Eau de Parfum, Parfum d'Empire Cuir Ottoman and Parfum L'Initial by Guerlain more. 😊 Too many more to mention...except Lipstick Rose. I just love powdery perfumes. I need to try Satine! It sounds lovely.
Yay for powdery fragrances! I LOVE Narciso Rodriguez, especially Rouge! I also have powdery vibes from Lolita Lempicka EDT. Learned about a few new ones tome. Thanks, Veronica!
I’m really having a powdery perfume moment lately!! I’ve been loving Lacoste pour femme and the legère version as well, Cerruti 1881 is an absolute dream come true, The Musc by Essential Parfums is not only like getting a hug, but you become the hug itself 🤍 Glossier You is so pretty… I could go on and on! Gucci bamboo is lovely, my favourite Narciso cube is the Ambrée 🧡 I just got Trussardi My Scent and at first I thought it was going to be *too* powdery, but there is enough balance and sweetness that I really love it! 💜 It is what I WISH Guerlain Insolence would have smelled like! Unfortunately both the edp and edt of Insolence just smell like soap to my nose (but I’ll just pretend Trussardi My Scent is Insolence when I wear it 🤫😉) I also ordered Trussardi My Name which is supposed to be even more powdery and I can’t wait to smell it! 🥰🥰 Thank you for your wonderful list, I now have so many more added to my “to try” list 😅🙏🏼
Hi Tammy! I would love to try Cerutti 1881. Several people have mentioned it to me now. I have Cerutti Image Woman. I haven't tried Glossing You either, can you believe it? 😁 I know Trussari has an interesting lineup of fragrances. I only have Donna and Black Rose but would love to try others. Thanks so much for these recommendations and thoughts! 💖💖💖 How is the weather where you are these days? Here it's high 90s and very humid.
@@VeronicaSays Wow that sounds hot! I think I would be staying inside all day with my air conditioner 😅 today it is 55° and raining here, and in general it’s been a foggy rainy summer for us.. usually August and September are our best months here on the island so I’m hoping for some sunny days ahead!! ☀️ Oh I love Trussardi Donna too! I was so excited when I got that one ☺️ and Cerruti 1881 is so special 💕 It does open with that chamomile tea vibe but the way it develops, at least on my skin, is almost magical… And after it fades it leaves my skin scented if that makes sense. Hope you have a great day!
I really enjoyed this. I'm new to fragrance now that I'm free of chronic migraines. Thank you for helping me get started selecting fragrances to enjoy in this new & happy phase of life 💜
What a great list, I still have to pick up a bottle of Tocade. I also need to check out the Narciso Rodriquez you featured, I love the Poudre version. I recently realized that I love powdery fragrances, because I have a ton of them in my collection and it never really occured to me that it was the powdery notes that appealed to me hahaha. Some of my favorite powdery fragrances that you didn't mention: Alaia Blanche, Guerlain L'heure Bleue and Apres L'ondee, Parfums De Marly Athalia, Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose and Iris Poudre, L'artisan Orchidee Blanche, ELDO She Was an Anomoly, Musk Mazzolari, and Poudre de Riz from Pierre Guillaume Paris.
Wow that is a whole power list of powdery fragrances! 👍👍👍 I was like you... didn't realize I even liked powdery fragrances until I started seeing the pattern. 🤯 Now I gravitate to them.
Nice list to delve into, thank you! I just recently picked up Ellen Tracy Bronze and I personally think it's a hidden gem..sharp, powdery lemonade fragrance. It's cheap but definitely worth a sniff!
Beyond Romance: NOTED ! Souffle Intense : NOTED ! My list..... *sigh* it's already a NOVEL... lmao when you have the time, i know you already filmed a video similar to this, but can you make a list of your oldies, vintages, or classics? like 70s to 80s, or 90s.... :D
I'm in a love and hate relationship with Narciso Poudrée. Being blond, light skinned and eyed I'm leaning towards light, feminine fragrances, but for cooler seasons I'm attracted to powdery scents as they are so...comforting and coddling. I thought I found my one and only in NR Poudrée, and for the first couple of hours I'm in love. But overtime I just grow nauseous of it, I can't help it. Its just too much for me. Now I'm thinking about taking your advice and give Si Fiori a try, it sounds like a beautiful, lighter option. Thank you and cheers from Hungary!
Seeing this video today has reminded me of the beloved and much missed powdery scents of years gone by like Ombre Rose and Bal a Versailles, which were easily found and very affordable at TJMaxx long ago. All of the fragrances you described in this video sound so delightful, especially the Bella Rosa and Junoon. I shall definitely try to find these two perfumes. Your descriptions of Tocade and Amarige were 100% and I know I will be very happy if I can find these two newer powdery fragrances also. I do truly enjoy your videos and continue to watch several each day. 🌸
Hi Olivia - wow, thank you for this very lovely comment! You can't go wrong with any of the ones in this video, except maybe Habanita which is not as universally appealing as the others. Ombre Rose is lovely. It's been a while since I sniffed that one! I appreciate your support of my channel and am so glad you enjoy the videos. 💖💖💖
I have a serious sensitivity to perfume so I have to be careful. Last month I sat next to a woman on a plane who had the most lovely "powdery" fragrance that didn't smell too mature or too young. Then last weekend I went out for date night in Florida and ran into friends and the woman smelled like an amazing "powder bomb" even at the end of the night in humidity. Neither of these two scents triggered a headache. I immediately googled for guidance and found you! Now I'm trying to figure out where to start with all these amazing choices!
Hi Teressa! Did you find out the names of the fragrances - the one on the plane and the friend? I'm so curious! Thanks for googling and finding my channel. 🥰 Welcome! 💖💖💖
@@VeronicaSays No my plane companion wore earbuds the whole flight and I did compliment my friend twice and she didn't offer up her fragrance but I plan to ask her directly next time!
…I just freaking love your channel! ❤️. You SO speak my language! I have Narcisco white bottle and I love it, too!!! It’s so different from everything else I own. To me it’s all that cedar which is just… it makes my heart race I love it so much. Initially when I got it (several years ago), I bought it blind and it threw me off. But I had a baby nose at the time and I’m glad so kept it and revisited it! Except I own so many perfumes I haven’t worn it in a while. What time of year do you think is best for it? It’s so crazy hot in Texas right now that I find myself really worried about giving myself headaches from scent + heat. Thanks!!
Oh Christina, what a sweet comment - thank you!! 💖💖💖 I was the same as you - had a hard time with it then fell it love. Regarding time of year, would you believe that it was almost my wedding scent in the August heat and humidity? 🤯 I went with Alien instead. 👽 I think it shines best in weather that is low 70s or colder, but you know... where whatever you want whenever you want! 😉😉😉
Dear Veronica, if you like Gloria Vanderbilt (classic one), you may loooooove Heliotrope by Franck Boclet - it is like a new level of a powdery variation of Gloria+L'heur bleu by Guerlain. For me Gloria suits autumn and Heliotrope is a 100% winter vibe
I actually have to get back into pottery scents, back in the day it’s all I used to wear so so far in my collection all I have is Glossier U, but then I entered the Gormand world and all my powdery fragrances went out the window 🤣 But I really love pottery sense, that Ralph Lauren sounds so pretty
You know how we go through phases though, it's all good! Next year you'll want a break from gourmands and switch it up again. The Ralph Lauren is a goooood one. 😉😉😉
@Veronica Says 😂I agree it's probably going to happen that way. I'm hoping to hunt that one and see if I like it. I remember back in the day I was obsessed with Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan that was my jam so powdery and snuggly I even had the deodorant 🙈as well as Emporio Armani Lei Giorgio Armani both super powdery 😍
I so enjoyed your video, and the descriptions of the fragrances. Powdery is my go to for perfumes. I found a surprising love among the celebrity perfumes, which have never grabbed my attention. Definition by Christina Aguilera is wonderfully powdery due to the heliotrope. Don’t be put off by the Apple note, it works beautifully here. Such a feminine and comforting fragrance. It is also long lasting. I have had a few Covid hospital stays and I choose to take this one with me
Oh I forgot you should try Guerlain L instant Magic, Veronica it is even more powdery than L instant de Guerlain absolutely beautiful for bedtime very comforting. Let me actually put it on tonight since we are at it🤩🤩🤩🤩
@@VeronicaSays thank for for this lovely video. You really do need to try L’Instant Magic. It is exquisite. I live in fear of Guerlain discontinuing it or Insolence💜
Isn’t it just divine💜. I have just finished my bee bottle one, and have the new, classic bottle. I am saving the unboxing for a calm and peaceful day where I can savour it.
I need to re visit Si Fioire you made it sound so gorgeous I actually can’t remember how it smells but I sampled it when I sampled a lot of other perfumes so maybe I need to try it by itself 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
I heard Tocade by Rochas and I am like "where does she find those perfumes?". I haven't heard about Tocade for a long time! Lol. I love Si Fiori! It is beautiful, feminin and fun! Such a pleasure to the nose!
Heralda, 😂😂😂 I know, right?! I usually find them on fragrancenet.com of fragrancebuy.ca. Tocade is a nice one. Si Fiori is gorgeous! Thank you for watching. 💖💖💖
Great video!! I had Molinard La Habanita and all I could smell was like pure baby powder and nothing else. People seem to love that scent and get a lot of different things from it so I always thought maybe I had a bad bottle or something. It was the reformulated version in the same bottle you showed here. Looking beautiful as always ✌🏽🥳❤️
Aaaww thank you Richard!! About Habanita... well... it is totally powdery so I'm not surprised you only get baby powder! 😂 Let's hunt down an old version and see if it's different. 🤔
I think the only powdery fragrance I currently own is probably Insolence by Guerlain. It’s a sugared violets and red fruits scent which is very unique. The one you have, L’Instant, seems to resemble it, but with oranges and cream?🤔I’m curious about Mon Blanc Signature, because of it being compared to lemon meringue, which sounds so yummy 🤤
The Guerlain ones do have a lot of similarities, except that Insolence has that very pronounced violet thing going on. Montblanc Signature is very pleasant. I wore it as my scent of the night last night! Worth trying. 👍👍👍
@@VeronicaSays I'm curious what men think of these powdery fragrances. Have you gotten any compliments on any of the ones you mentioned? Would be very helpful to know for attracting guys, as a single lady😉💛
I need to wear my Bella Rosa more often. Too bad it doesn't last very long. I adore Si Fiori! 🌸 It's the perfect bridal fragrance IMO. 😊Narciso by Narciso is so sexy! 🤩Great video darling!
Thanks for the amazing video!! I'm so curious about Junoon! Which one is better for you? Junoon or Junoon Rose? I'm planning to blind buy one of them in the future, I love powdery perfumes so muchhh 😍
Hi there, new here and watch this video just becauss Of Si fiori. I adore but sinply adore this perfume. I cant get wnough of it, its extremly feminine and soft, fun.
Omg Veronica L instant de Guerlain don't get any attention. To me that parfum is a master piece. All seasons, not offensive, projects, long lasting, easy reach. Seriously if that parfum was in a niche bottle like Roja, it would cost a pretty penis. It is Guerlain hello high quality parfum. Thanks for mentioning it Veronica. I just found your chanel because you have l instant de Guerlain I will definitely get your recommendations. Sending you love and appreciations from Wisconsin 🤩🤩
Hello GenyDona! Thank you so much for watching my video and commenting. I agree that it's such a nice fragrance!! I really enjoy giving attention to fragrances that we don't hear about too often. Stay cool in Wisconsin in this summer heat! 💖💖💖
I think the most powdery Perfume that i got is Gucci Guilty. Not really into it as well. But i am hoping to get a powdery sc ent that i will like in the future! Enjoioyed this video👍💗
Hey Veronica! Thank you for this video. I’ve been thinking about getting “Beyond Romance,” but I’ve read several reviews stating that it has poor longevity and projection. Do you agree?
Hi Mohammed, I do not think so. It is not a beastmode fragrance, but if you spray on skin AND clothes, you'll get 5-6 hours. Even though I go nose blind to it, others can smell it on me for a long time. 👍👍👍
Another fun and interesting video. BUT, you forgot Albert Nipon perfume! That one was the first to come to mind when you said the word powder! Check it out.
I finally departed with my narciso because of the reasons you mentioned. I also have poudree which I find a bit gentler than the white cube, so I let her go.
The best powdery fragrance is, alas, discontinued. Givenchy's Dhalia Noir, absolutely Devine. Feminine, yet strong, rose, iris and mimosa, but not soft and rounded, it was initially sharp, almost metallic. Nothing comes close. I love Penhaligon's "The Favourite", it's rose, violet and iris, similar to Dhalia Noir but much softer and feminine. And my last vote goes for Miller Harris "Powdered veil", it's a powder bomb amber and spice, a naked, close to the skin scent, it has violet but I hardly detect any flower notes in it. It's really lovely, although it doesn't last long.
@@VeronicaSays , If you can think of anything that smells close to it, I'm always looking for the runner up! Dhalia Noir had this jammy, red fruit quality in its opening, although it didn't list any fruity top notes...I'm down to my last few millilitres, the bottles are a fortune on eBay...
