I wondered that too. If Nd4 there are no checks and only 3 legal moves. From there it's kind of a crap shoot though, all depending on the moves that each of them make.

Nd4 is best move. If Kd4, it's white win, starting with queen check. If Kd5, Nc6 repeat until Kd4 If Nc6, Kd4 happened, Nd4 is still a good move If Queen takes knight, it's white win again. If king takes pawn, white is fvckd. I wonder how the rook trade even happened.

@@versuzzero5335 From 3:16 if Nd4, black could also sac the queen for the knight leaving white with queen rook vs 2 queens, the op didnt said rook trade he said even if he(black) traded, you would have your rook. As for the rest of your comment, correct me if I'm wrong but I think you meant Ke5 not Kd4, Kd4 is not a legal move, the only other legal move other than Kd5 and queen sac, both you mentioned is Ke5. If Kd5, white cannot go back to Kc6 unless the black's queen move since the knight at d5 would be blocking the queen's check so I think you got the position at 3:16 after Nd4 wrong, good try anyway.

@@kelvinpang438 Yeah. I was very confused. If ke5, Nc6 is not good. Maybe nf3 check baiting the queen to take the knight on f3. He is free to take one pawn layer yet he didn't do so.

from the position at 3:40, follow through with the queen trade H7-H8, then he takes with his last queen on H8, then you move your king to C4, then as his single queen chases you, king takes on B3 and then camp at A4, I think that would be very very hard for him to get you.

Yeah I was thinking that. Notice how the stockfish bar changes massively after he misses that? Once you do the fork, it's also attacks the queen in the corner. Once that queen is taken, the black king is put in check yet again, and you can continue to win more material, or find other ways to put him in check. I think the secret to a clean victory was in there.

That would be wild indeed. I feel like knight would be worthless on such a board because theyd take forever to get anywhere and two open files on move one would make rooks a viable opening piece
