This video was so helpful!! Thank you! I have two questions: If I want to housesit with a friend, do we each need our own account on Trusted Pet Sitters? And, how hard is it to get your first housesitting gig?

Hi Allison! Here are our thoughts on that. If you and a friend are tag-teaming the housesitting gig, then I'd make a joint profile and make that very clear. Both of you should be on the call or video chat that you have with your homeowners. Be fully transparent with the homeowners too! Trust is one of the biggest factors of housesitting and you're in their personal space caring for their furbabies. In terms of getting your first housesit, two things: 1. Make sure you have a few references to share. Since it's both of you, you'll want a few for each of you individually, unless you have a few that talk about both of you. 2. Applying to the newest sits is your best option. Start local, if you can, to build up your experience quickly. Most importantly, don't get discouraged if you don't hear back or if they go with someone else. There are plenty of opportunities out there. Best of luck to you!
