Modge Podge looks great and is excellent sealer, but the standard one does not have UV Resistance like varnishes do. This means using Modge Podge will cause your paints to fade over time, even indoors with exposure to light. It is also not water resistant. Modge Podge makes one for outdoor use that is UV and water resistant, and is just as easy to use. That’s what I use when I don’t use Liquitex.
Ive been using modpodge but a few days later it has turned some of the colours a magenta colour in places. I don't know if its actually the varnish reacting with the paint which I was sure was dry. But this is very disappointing as its a much cheaper option to liquitex. Have you had any magenta shifts?
