I've been to Far Rockaway and have seen so many young kids and teens hanging out and roaming the streets after hours. The parents are failing these children.
When we were kids on our way to Rockaway, we didn't know any better and ended up getting chased from the Far Rockaway station to Rockaway. I never was so scared because those teens from the government welfare projects were throwing rocks and bottles at a 9 & 10 year old. We were with my grandfather, but he was old and slow and told us to run. Some things never change!
Anyone notice the Democrat politicians are ALL quiet with all the black on black violent crime BUT the minute a cop has to use his gun even at an armed criminal, they hold a press conference
Deadly games being played by much younger people. Consequences for these younger people need to be increased as well. Old enough to kill, old enough to be killed or sentenced to life. No exceptions.
When I was 14, I was building dirt jumps in a vacant field and jumping my BMX bike. Sometimes playing Nintendo. I don't know what sort of family life it takes for a 14 year old to be meddling in violent crime, but I sure am glad for having good parents growing up. Clearly there are no parents involved in these kids lives.
I'm old but when I was that age I was reading Nancy Drew and refused to give up my Barbies and paper dolls. And bedtime was 9 on the dot. Thank heaven I grew up when I did.
In the late 70's early 80's we used to play touch or mostly tackle football and stick ball with a baseball bat and tennis ball against a brick wall with a box drawn. Sometimes I'd go to a park with my dad and we'd just play with a bunch of kids. I don't see groups of kids playing ball anymore...
*PER CAPITA HOMICIDE RATE* Texas = 6.6 per every 100,000 persons NY State = 4.2 per every 100,000 persons Would you like more examples that run counter to your conclusion?
@@azul8811 show me more now let's break it down by race. Then check how many we're return fire . And which state had the most legal shots fired? Plus dont forget everyone in Texas has a gun.. and nobody in NY has one right....how's this work? CNN math??
@@haywoodjewblome6150 My post was in response to the OP’s assertion that “ An awful lot of stories involving guns coming from a city/state with the most gun control. Seems like those laws just make good people into victims.” Based on the information I posted, do you agree or disagree with his conclusion? And, was there any data I presented as being factual that you can provide evidence that it is not? Now, if you are curious about other variables that contribute to homicide numbers, I’ll ask YOU to do the research and present it in your reply. Does that sound reasonable?
@@azul8811 no librals need to do some research and stop reiterating the same fake news.. try some facts listen to people with an open mind and loose the blue hair and butt plugs..
There are so great New Yorkers of all backgrounds in NYC, but unfortunately you don't hear much about us. I'm a NYC native. And yes, I lived there during the 80s and 90s, no longer do. And it had it's fair share of crime. Natives learn how to navigate though and read intentions, this helps not to be thrown off guard and become a victim. So, this native New Yorker has lived in Portland Oregon, Boise, Seattle Metro, Colombia and Chile in South America. NYC felt safer to me than many parts of Portland. It's just too bad you don't get to hear about all the amazing people who still live in NYC.
@@selinaBARMAR2565 I was born and raised in Portland. Made me feel some sort of way when you listed all those places you’ve lived and singled out Portland as feeling less safe. Curious when you lived there. You’re right though, it’s gotten pretty bad.
Don't assume due to age he was an innocent child. I used to live blocks away in that area on 60th. These little ones are encouraged and bred to be mean there. Once a kid I saw through my fence in my yard in an adjacent yard maybe was less than 10 years told me" I'll put a bullet in your chest". Another time when I was the only white guy on the dollar van another little one maybe between 10 to 13 or so was talking all kinds of smack to me (just for being white) while the adults thought it was so funny to hear this little one talk shit. It's as if they were grooming him to hate. This shot kid could have been a descent kid but in that area you can't assume that and I'd say it's unlikely.
So based on where a black child lives it’s okay if they are killed by another in gang violence because some black kids made fun of you? And you people don’t see the thin line between racism and sympathy
@Joe Manguel, George Floyd murdered no one. Let's talk about those that murdered Junior Guzman or Chris Watts who wiped out his unborn, wife and two girls. STFU
@Lawrence Rogers I hate when foreigners weigh in on us. We are still a free country. Go argue against your own government. If you're in Canada, Australia or the UK, your governments are fascist dictators. You don't even have the right to bear arms.
@Lawrence Rogers haha lawrence.. Where are you at? What queen are you under? What sovereignty does your country have? What right do you have to protect yourself? Yeah I think you might be in trouble to lawrence.. disarmed peasant rabble.
@@stacys.5367 we are the only damn people running around saying this crap and how is that worked for us for the past 50 years look at how's it affected our communities
@@stacys.5367 how the hell are you going to say with a straight face that not having a father would it necessarily change the situation you yourself sound like a single mother. And if that's so make better decisions
@@stacys.5367 we're all adults and part of being an adult is hearing the truth and accepting it this man was brought up by a single mother if he had his father in his life or brought up in a two-parent home this would have not happened Having a father in the home is always better
The cops cannot do much if A. this country just hands out guns to everyone and B. the gangs are gonna wipe each other out. They'd rather just do nothing because, really, what can they do? Once these kids now are in the life, that's it.
most likely a white male with ties to the Republican Party... may have been driving a 1969 Orange Dodge Charger with a confederate flag painted on the roof... 😆😄
To MR MIKE : We are always in a mess politically because one governor after another are the FILL IN GOVERNORS: SPITZER played with the ladys and PATTERSON takes his place* then all of a sudden MR PATTERSON is out!!!!WOW that was fast!!!Then CUOMO (schfachime) who walks right in as governor reaches for bootys and bouncies and HOCHUL takes his place* as they all go to law school/college/join boating clubs/tennis clubs/country clubs/and drink plenty of club soda!!! CURTIS seems to know almost every street in the city but another guy takes his place and this NEW guy will never sit down with RUDY and ask RUDY how the heck did you lower all that crime DOWN DOWN DOWN way back in those wild 1970s??? Always with a new mayor/governor/president elect these new ones will never once ask the FORMER LEADER just how did you accomplish all that the people/citizens reguard as GOOD POLICIES in your administrations???? Which is why we are in this JULY/AUGUST 2022 MESS!!!!!! If these current politicals will simply SIT DOWN with those past guys maybe THEY can LEARN SOMETHING!!!!! As with all new PRESIDENTS who NEVER ONCE carry over a few of the former presidents advisors as they KNOW THE SITUATION and all the new guy knows is how to grab the old ball point pen and CHANGE EVERY BILL that the former president already signed and so here we GO AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN****Thanks also for your comment MR MIKE*
How is it even possible for every single crime to have the same group involved. How !!! Every single crime !! Nobody mentions it !!! This is insanity. Imagine being a cop and having to deal with these people !!!!! My god. What a culture of devastation.
I'm trying to figure that out. Why us every time. We are killing each other and causing so much choas.....it's no wonder we are seen as a threat. Right now we are
I had a friend that lived in Far Rockaway and always remember it having a strong presence of gang violence; Arverne, Wavecrest, etc. Haven't heard anything like that for some time. Most societal problems stem from, not solely, mostly lack of economic opportunity, entertainment outlets, and of course the most glaring...lack of discipline & home training. I feel the young man was not the intended target; he was probably caught in the crossfire and ran for help, thus collapsing in a neighbor's driveway. Condolences to his family...RIP.
bad hair day, bang bang bang... hurt feeling, bang bang bang... being honk at, bang bang bang... being cut off, bang bang bang... not enough chicken, bang bang bang... too many mayonnaise, bang bang bang... cold french fries, bang bang bang... G un In-fested sh*thole count three...
The only safe place to live these days, are either on a plantation/cotton farm. That pretty much guarantees you won't have neighbors like this. Neighbors who are being shot at.
Looking good black folks...you are doing a bang up job with the raising of your children!!!!! Next time just swallow and save the child the trauma!!!👎🖕👎🖕👎🖕
It's not like an innocent 14 year old, on his way home from school was killed. Check him for gang tattoos and criminal (juvenile) record. Random bullet through a window is one thing. Someone pulling up is entirely different. Check him for "dirt", as he was likely "about that life".
This is heartbreaking. Rap/gang culture strikes again. We must bring God and the love of our lord and savior Jesus Christ back to the core of family structure. Stop letting society raise your kids.
Quiz time, folks. Who were the criminals? (A) Polish teens (B) Orthodox Jews (C) Jamal, Elijah and Keshawn; born out of wedlock to Shaniqua, Ayasha and Latoya; raised without fathers; raps singers, basketball players and gang members their role models (D) Chinese science majors Take your time, folks. This is a tough one.
I remember I used to hear this kind of news in California a lot years ago, for some reason this kind of news has stopped in California, I wonder what changed?
@ prometheus that's funny. So when we go back in time, the Greeks were the first ones who were involved in homosexuality. That's right Wonder bread. Your peoples are the inventors, the purveyors of racism in America and homosexuality. s So please knock it off Pale Face.

You're right , it is a culture problem. But it's not the gun culture. And the liberals and the media don't want to say what the real issue is because they'll be labeled as racist.
