i have been running track since 5th grade up to my senior year and i have never had a coach like her coach. He really understands the sport at heart its easy to fall out of love with the Sport maybe not running but track is a hard sport and he understands that and works with the love for running

When you're late for a class period in school:

My coaches never worked with me in high school. They only focused on one girl and they didn't even appreciate or care about me. That made me feel like I should quit. In college I feel motivated to be the best and my coaches actually work with me.

Remember running with you back in Gainesville. So talented at such a young age. SAW THIS COMING! Congrats🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

You go young lady...I wish I was that fast when I ran track back in the days...you keep on running like the wind. I love it that her coach wants her to be a kid...if you push them too hard..they won't love it anymore. Live life to it's fullest.

I will definitely be looking out for her and praying for her. I miss running so much and I don't know if I will ever be able to run like I used to. I was the fastest in my middle school, and fastest in my high school as a Freshman. I got to run with the Seniors, but then everything went down hill. Docs said I had a heart murmur, then I started passing out randomly, and then they said it wasn't a heart murmur. I quit track to the tears of my running mates and sadness of my summer coach. I almost had to quit volleyball, too because my breathing had become so bad. I had gained around 30 lbs in the span of about 2-3 months. Turns out my kidney was failing. I got it removed at the age of 19 and have slowly been getting my body back! I'm still fighting with myself today now at the age of 29. I said I want to hit 30 at my goal weight this year and finish this year off hopefully, able to at least run a little. I'm now a single mom to a 2 year old girl. She is already fast and loves to run. I want to be there running next to her if she does decide to go that route. Much love to you girl! I will definitely be rooting for you. My trophies and metals I will always cherish. My last pair of spikes are still sitting in my parents house. I hope to, this summer, put them on and just try to run. ~
