140/70r17 tyre installation on Yamaha YZF R15 version 1(2010 model).
Yes, 140 is possible on same rear alloy and swing arm. Chain fitting needs some pull. Chain is very tight fit.

My APOLOGIZE to this channel , today i buy 140.70.17 just to see "what happens". The tire fits ok , and looks great. Some interesting things because the rim. The tire loss some width, it looks like some "130.80.17" , bacause the rim is pushing the tire to the center ,and the same time, because of that the tire looks more taller. i hope if you read this you can understand what i mean. . yes, as the rim is thin, tyre looks like 130 and look taller.. the bike height increases.. one suggestion, you can add an extra clip to the chain and make the chain longer. pull the wheel a bit backwards to tighten the chain.. Regards.. ride safe

Bro , it's not a Radial tyre, but you have mentioned r17 in the heading, please edit it to 140/70-17

patla tyre pe 28psi pressure tha.. new 140section tyre pe 36psi pressure daal ke chala raha hu.. same hi mil raha hai mileage 40 -42kmpl..

140 section ka koi bhi company ka tyre lag jaega ya bas jk company ka hi lgega ???

Any company... chain pull karke lagana parega, thoda tough hai.... but ekbar chain laga lia, thod enjoy 140section rear tyre.. BR43 JK looks very nice, or go for MRF or Apollo Alpha..

i hv no touching mudgaurd issue with 140 section tyre
