I've spent a total of 140 days removing 12 tons of trash from Miami's coastal ecosystems. This video shows what it took to go from 23,000 to 24,000 pounds.
Unbelievable how people feel they can just leave their trash behind. I did see that a number of spoil islands in Biscayne Bay were closed to boaters on Memorial weekend in an effort to keep them from getting trashed. Thanks so much to you all all involved in cleaning up other people's messes.
As I mentioned over on Insta, you are an inspiration. What steps have you taken/are you taking/will you take to involve others in cleaning up the messes left by so many inconsiderate folks?
