Randomly bumped into the whole Shortys team skating the bank building in Boston when they were filing for Guilty. Asked us to kick it and we took them around all day. Smolik and Muska were absolutely no joke and just so good. As well as B and the team. I watched Sammy (I think it is) land the BSTS on the financial district ledge. Saw pretty much all of the footage and pictures in that next months thrasher go down from us taking them to spots. George was super nice too. I just remember Smolik was a lot bigger and more menacing looking in person. For an 18 year old kid who just happened to stumble upon the team with my close friend it was a literal dream come true. I worked for a skate shop on Newbury street at the time and had that weird feeling like no, this is our time with them. Don’t drag them there and make a scene. They were very nice, down to earth and bought us lunch. Next to having my daughter and meeting my love that’s the best day of my life. I’ll never forget it. Still have that copy of thrasher at my parents sealed. I connected with George later but just too far back to find any of the footage Sam and I were in. I really had a whole new respect for that team at that point. I believe Roger met up with them later that evening after we brought them to Copley. So thankful we didn’t have phones and weren’t doing any social media them. But one group picture that day would’ve been great.

I've been a diehard thunder guy since 2001 but I just struggle to do anything with them as I've gotten older. Indys on the other hand have aged like wine to me. Had to have a real heart to heart with myself a couple weeks ago and came to the conclusion that Standard 149's are like the most perfect truck ever

Love these guys we grew up on fulfill the dream it came out freshman year for me and my buddies. Met smolik as an adult skating at wsvt and he went around and gave everyone in the park a high 5 when he got there before he started skating. Class act.

Good to see Brandon still skating, as well as Smolik. Spent many summers, weekends watching Fulfill the Dream and both their parts were amongst the best on an already stacked roster. Smoliks style was ahead of its time and Brandon was a bonafide prodigy. The soundtrack was a catalog of the whose who of underground hip hop at the time.

We had our Madhouse skaters and the rest of the Clairemont delinquents we competed with. Dude the game changed in Clairemont after 2000, I remember if you weren't hitting the tech hard then you had to be hucking some big fucking gaps or rails. Grew up right around the corner from one of the spots that was Ray Kroc middle school. Dudes was putting in serious time chasing the Mullen man😂😂😂 Peter was like a wizard on those benches bro, homie was doing tail slide/nose slide combos before anyone else in Clairemont. Pauly B and Draper were pretty well too. Brandon and Shippler were holding it down just before my gen was coming up and half of us just stopped because the bar to pro was being raised higher and higher. Nobody cared to be an amateur anymore sponsored by the local skate shop because it wasn't an actual job. You'd have to skate demos and shit which wouldn't pay much. There was a time when the industry almost died but good to see these dudes skating well into their 40s.

I’m so bummed I got my second pair of Indy’s this year and the hangers were bent. Not the hanger part the AXLE. One wheel is facing down. So bummed since they moved to CHINA. I never rode any other truck in my 35 years of riding INDYS. now. I’m thinking of changing.
