If you use three thin coats of dishwasher safe mod podge and wait for the 30 day curing time it does work. I make birthday glasses and it is truly dishwasher safe.

Such a sweet idea. I doubt anyone else will pay much, if any, attention to the outside of the base of the 2 glasses in this tutorial. The glasses are so much fun most people probably will not notice. In order to keep everything simple you might want to dip a gloved finger in an upcoming batch of clear resin and simply smear a thin coat over the area that touched the masking tape.
They are pretty. Turned out really good. 💕🤗💕 There is a process where you can paint on the glasses with alcohol ink, set it and it looks like stained glass. Really pretty. You can also paint with acrylic enamel, set in the oven and then afterwards you can even wash them in the dishwasher. I think I would probably hand wash them lol I bet you could make a mold with your freeform mold you make. Mold it to the bottom edge of the glass so that edge fits tight into the mold. I hope I am making sense. That way the edge would be smooth.
Hi Julie I think if you use resin tape (the glossy type people use for jewelry) you may end up with a polished edge as opposed as using masking tape. Just a thought. Love ALL your videos. You are so delightful to watch and listen to

I love these more then the previous ones! They are gorgeous what a genius idea. You might want to try packing tape, not sure what it might leave behind verses the masking tape. ❤️❤️❤️

I think they're so adorable. I love the way the distortion makes the bloom go up the stem of each wine glass. So cute! Thanks for sharing😘✌ I forgot I love the bottoms of them too. So when you're taking a drink the person across from you can see the beautiful flower 😆 And I did watch your other video for the larger wine glasses they're really pretty too!
Julie I know you do acrylic pours. There is a lady that pours on a glossy tile and the cuts it off and she has a skin. Then she puts the skins on the bottom of the wine glasses. Check out her videos. You cousi do them and they'd be beautiful too.

Those are lovely, Julie It seems to me that the resin would make the glasses less likely to break as easily. I am a bit clumsy. LOL, I HAVE BROKEN MORE GLASSES THAN ANYONE ELSE I KNOW FAMILY, friend or foe❣ Some of us are just put together that way, I guess. LOL
You asked about the sides. I have an idea. Take your long forever silicone rope , cut to size adhere to the bottom of the glass tape ends together and BAM you have shinny sides on the bottom. I think this is an awesome idea with the wine glasses they turn out so pretty. Great idea using the bottom of the wine glasses . So pretty and unique.
Not sure if anyone else has made the same comment but if u paint the sides with clear resin it should shine it up. Not Exactly sure how you would accomplish that but if you have a way to put it on a tumbler turner? Not even sure if that is what they r called..lol anyway that would keep it from dripping. Just a thought
Hey Julie. I love this idea. I’ve been told that alcohol ink in resin fades terribly when the item is placed in the sun. I just wonder if you’ve experienced this or not? Thanks so much for your great videos 😊
What a fantastic idea 💡 I can’t wait to give it a go. I think the gold around the edges ruins the look of the bloom, what about if you put a thin layer of resin and sprinkle gold glitter around, just every soo lightly. Thank you for your tutorial I always look forward to watching them ❤❤
I do love your videos, you are very crafty, great ideas. I do have a question, the white titanium paste that you use even in your other video doing the black and white wine glasses with the coaster moulds is it important to have the opaque white? I am in Canada and don't see it available on amazon.
What if you did the bloom only, without the crushed glass edge, then removed the tape and put the finished glass into a 4” coaster mold and put the crushed glass (or some kind of edge) in that and pour a clear resin into it. You should end up with your gorgeous bloom, a larger and less tipsy base, and a smooth edge!
What a great idea doing the resin from underneath. Actually loved both lots of wine glasses you’ve done They’d make beautiful gifts for the right person I’m going to have a go at these I was wondering if you could use eucalyptus oil to get the tape marks off without hurting the resin.
