that's the best tip - cash means you get paid when you finish the job and the client can leave it somewhere hidden for you. Also you don't have to keep reminding people to pay you, no invoices, complete control of your money. Safety glasses are a must, a single stone could take the vision from one of your eyes
This young Lady is not even my child and I feel extremely proud of her!!!! Glad to see young people out there who believe in hard work and is enjoying it!!!! Keep up the Awesome attitude! Best wishes in your future.
@@olderolderman4603 I'm 71 and its good to see young people going out there and doing things old school ways and they learn the value of hard work also.
I’m a lawn care contractor with over 3 crews and over 500k in revenue every year from just mowing, not including our landscaping work. you have inspired me. keep going.
This young lady would make a darn fine crew leader or lawncare business owner some day. No wasted time/movements. Get in, get it done, get paid. I like that!! Keep up the good work!
Not sure why YT suggested this channel but am I glad it did. I love it when I see youngsters out making their own path vs sitting around and whining because they don't have what they want. I'm sure she had some help getting the ball rolling to get her equipment but the rest she is doing on her own. Way to go young lady you are a superstar. If you're looking for video ideas I would suggest a breakdown/review of your bike and trailer set up. Brilliant set up by the way.
I started mowing lawns with a bicycle. I had a mower that I would hold behind my bike while I peddled. I strapped a rake, a broom and an electric weedeater on the mower’s handle bars. I put a 1 gallon gas can 100’ extension cord in a milk crate tied to my handle bars. Equipment has come a long way since then (1982). Good job. Love your trailer
I am a 58 yr old woman that works for a city, that mows and weed eats for my job. I love it. It does my heart proud to see you doing this! I love your trailer! Keep up the great work, and one day you will be the CEO of your own landscape company!
So refreshing to see a young person not expecting mom and dad to give them money , this girl is a hard worker and the insight to own herself and get what she wants the right way through hard work this is a girl that will be able to get by in life , my hats off to you young lady you have my admiration
This is the best thing I've seen in a long time! I'm happy for the parents whom raised one hell of a kid!!! I'm proud of you and it gives me a little hope this world isn't doomed. Keep it up seriously!!!!!! You rock 🦖🚜 P.s. if yall live in Michigan or ever move here you have a job with me if needed! 🤙
You are a true inspiration to your generation n others. Instead of video games n entitlement you are out there working hard towards your success. Especially just a bike n trailer n few pieces of lawn care equipment. Keep up the amazing work!
I love your setup kiddo! Have ya thought about putting a little ramp at the edge of your lil trailer? That way you don’t have to worry about the weight of the lawnmower being loaded and unloaded. I’d charge a bit more than $35 because you use a bagger and not have clippings fly everywhere. Maybe between $40-45? You’re doing an amazing job and I’m so proud of you. The world needs more kiddos like you that are hard workers.
Agreed, she takes the lawn clippings, edges, and blows away/ cleans up afterwards. And is that $35.00 for the front and back? Also beware of larger lawns and having to move things like a trampoline, for an up charge. Keep it reasonable, but have a book with pricing break downs . And written testimonials from happy customers.
Great job, there is hope for America each time I see hard working teens❤ My son has a lawn care service and he highly suggest that you buy locks for your mower and all your trimming and weed blowing care cause when you’re back is turned unfortunately there are bad people in this world and they will take your equipment in a heartbeat if they get a chance, I mean even in broad daylight! Wishing you a wonderful summer God bless you🥰🙏🏼
This is the coolest thing ever. I wish I thought about working as a kid. The setup is amazing no gas all battery and super minimalistic. The bike and I guess “custom”trailer is game changing. I actually have a lawn service as well. 🎉👏👏👏👏
Well done young lady! you got your head screwed on right, which is incredibly rare these days for kids your age! (and adults) keep it up, this is awesome
I'd pay way more to have this level of yardwork done! I'm not a parent, but if I had a child that went this extra mile, I'd be unable to contain my pride lol! I hope she goes on to accomplish great things!!
You give me hope for the future, young lady. Too many young people are content to be lazy. This type of go-getter attitude will serve you well through life 👍👍👍
In my 60's I started mowing lawns for a living. There was a real estate agent in my Sunday School class and she started me with 11 lawns. I like your "pickup" truck. Besides the eye protection you need ear protection. An ENT specialist who was a friend told me that the high winding engines will take a toll on your hearing later in life. A prime example of willing to do what it takes when others will sit around and complain. Proud of you!!!
Her gear is electric, not two stroke. They are quiet. I would not use 2-st w/o ear protection. She does need eye protection though. The nice thing about it is she can do her job w/o annoying the neighbors. While mowing, we saw a car pull up next door. Introduce yourself and give them a discounted intro to show them what you can do. Expand your client base! You will also get referrals.
I know I’ve already said well done, but I’d like to add a few things for you, from a parent’s perspective and as a semi-professional (I just started back doing lawn care again, after several years of working in social services and the school system.). 1. Your desire to grow a business is spot on. Be prepared, as I’m sure you’re already aware of, that as you grow your channel that you will face internet trolls. Don’t let them discourage you. My son, who is autistic, started a channel with a desire to grow, sadly, he recently hit over 500 subs and has faced a few of those. But he’s not giving up, and I encourage you to keep growing strong. 2. Your professionalism is admirable, m not sure I can offer any suggestions on that point! But I will again say well done. 3. Safety: You’re doing an amazing job, but your safety needs to always take priority. As it’s already been stated, wear safety glasses. Also, I know hot weather is upon us, but those string trimmers, edgers and mowers can throw things at your legs that you might not see. Long pants should be worn doing this type work. It’s not comfortable I’m sure, but trust me, when something sharp is thrown at your bare legs, you’ll wish you’d been wearing long pants. 4. String Trimmers: Most straight shaft trimmers spin counter clockwise which means the debris will be thrown to the left, Howe, I’m not positive on this particular brand. Figure out which direction it spins and walk to the opposite side of the direction material is thrown. You could film a close up and the watch it back in slow motion, you’ll see the direction of discharge. That’s just a little extra tip for you. If you ever have questions, look to RU-vid, lol. Seriously, there are some great videos and channels on here to learn from (not that you need to learn a lot more). Feel free to ask questions, even on my channel (I’m just changing mine over to lawn care and getting it going) and look up Spencer Lawn Care on RU-vid also, they are great.
I live in a neighborhood similar to this but the yards are a tad bigger. I enjoy mowing my yard with an electric mower. No gas or oil to fool with and easy to push. I’m old geezer so it helps to go light. Great job young lady. I have a feeling you will be successful in life no matter what you end up doing. I wish you lived nearby as a new homeowner close by has yet to mow his yard. I can’t imagine someone paying a healthy price for a house and letting the yard go.
More power to her - I started mowing grass and plowing/shoveling snow at age 12, back in 1974, when my dads old self-propelled sears craftsman w/ the B&S motor finally gave out - he went out and bought a WheelHorse garden tractor w/ the mowing deck, the tow-behind leaf collector/lawn sweeper, the tow-behind cultivator, lawn roller and front plow, along with the weight kits, tire chains and agricultural-type replacement tires… he set me up w/ a few neighbors and before we knew it, we had a weekly neighborhood route - use to haul the lawn sweeper and the toro self-propelled (for areas the tractor couldn’t reach), along w/ various weeding gear, in a tow-behind trailer, along w/ extra fuel, etc… $15 for lawn including collecting grass trimmings from the sidewalk and DW, $20/ plow/day(often times we’d get lake effect snow squalls dropping multiple inches/hr, as well as the infamous late night driveway entry plow-in by the road plows… only when in my 30s and having my own children did I realize the genius that my dad was🙏
You Rock with this Bike Setup. I grew up Cutting Lawns & Shoveling Snow for the Neighbors. Made Good Money. Kids Today are Given Everything by Parents. 🤪👎
I started with a riding mower, garden trailer, push mower, trimmer, and blower. Set some aside for repairs and improvements, then start saving for a vehicle. Need to up your prices some. Great videos and hope you get lots of subscribers. Not many at your age are videoing, so you should get lots of subscribers.
I’ve been doing yards for years with my Pops and I continued when he passed last year. I’m very proud of your work ethic and dedication. Continue being great and amazing.
I commend you on having a good work ethic. My brother used to mow lawns when he was a kid on the neighborhood and earned a little money. I helped out and mowed our lawn for some years and edged. I even loved a few small limbs and trimmed the bushes Wish I still could do that but I'm not as healthy as I was in my 20s and 30s. Keep up the good work.
I went on my favorite too 4 mower channels and commented on there newest post about you, Al Bladez, SB Mowing, Cabin on the hill & the juggernaut. Hoping to build your channel up, I’m just totally impressed by you and your work ethic. I wish you all the success in the world keep up the hard work. Oh and that’s an awesome rig for your equipment.
i wish i had a trailer set up like yours when i mowed as a teen. i had a bike and moped but no trailer. had to push mower down street, carry gas, weed eater and broom. now i got an f550 with 20 foot dump trailer and 3 walker ghs ztrs on it as 1 of 10 crew set ups
I love your work ethic. Making money and getting exercise. Be sure to use sunscreen and safety glasses. You can get safery glasses that are tinted and provied UV protection. I made good money cutting grass whaen I was your age. Keep up the good work. There are sites on RU-vid on how to set up a lawn care business that also give advice on how to figure out how much to charge.
That bike trailer is Brilliant! I've never seen one before. Great job! You SHOULD BE making AT LEAST $40 to $50 per house... Nothing less! More on bigger yards! 👍💪
You're doing a great job and have great work ethic! Just a piece of advice. When you trim and you are around flower beds and the house. If your trimmer head spins counterclockwise walk from right to left (looks like it does but can't be sure from the video. Also most do spin counterclockwise). You do this so it slings the grass away from the house and beds. Also, if from some reason the trimmer head spins clockwise you would walk in the opposite direction and walk from left to right. I had to learn these things myself when I first started out. Keep up the good work and hustle.
Awesome sauce !!!! My only suggestion is to wear safety glasses when you are weed eating, I have had tons of stuff get into my eyes !! You are a true inspiration.... I hope nothing but success for ya ! 🎉🎉🎉
What an inspiring young lady, reaffirms my faith in humanity! Great to see someone who is willing to work hard for what she wants, not just sit and wait for something to just fall into your lap. You go girl, greatest respect, and hope you achieve all you desire. Love and respect from the UK ❤❤
This is a very smart girl and very self employed she is going to go far in life God bless her hope someday she will open a Company and become very well financially set for life
😮😮 wow, best of luck with your business....I have to show this to my kids this when I see them this weekend. You have made me happy 😊.....I'm a new subscriber from Australia 🇦🇺....😊😊😊
You not only make your parents proud. Your and inspiration to the community 😊 Kudos on starting your lawn business and making the videos are fun to watch. Love your work ethic 👍🏻
Little tip from a former landscaper trim with the rotation of the head you’re less likely to get grass in beds which means less weeding for you if you offer it
Very inspiring, so nice to see some of our youth still have hope :) I bet her first car is going to be a pickup truck, and she will have the hydraulic bed and the rack rails just like all the big guys on RU-vid. If you have kids or know kids make sure you share this video with them, let them know anything is possible and maybe it will also encourage them to try something new, or at least just get out there and do something. This girl is already running her own business at 14, and I'm guessing she will be more successful than any of us can imagine. Keep up the good work, keep expanding your clientele, and reach for the sky!
This is very refreshing to see a teenager who is actually willing to work for her money and not expecting a hand out. Her parents raised her well. She will be a millionaire by 35 and done working.
Love it!! Good for you! 🙌🏻 I wish I started my lawn/garden care business when I was young! I’m in my late 20s and just started with my business using EGO equipment as well! You’re doing great!! Can’t wait for more videos 🤗❤️
Dang that's pretty cool to see a kid your age get out there and go after it with no excuses. I used to mow lawns, shovel snow, clean gutters, rake leaves ect when i was your age to make money. You have a great work ethic and that will take you far in life. Good luck to you
Great to see a company that push mows! I love the set up, always immaculate! Shorts and strimming can be painful on the shins, be careful with face protection too. Nice to see your siblings getting a piece of the action! You are an inspiration! Keep up the good work!
Great job. Just want to encourage you to wear proper PPE, eye and especially hearing protection while you work. It's an important part of staying safe and healthy.
Wow… this girl is awesome… this one video has renewed my faith in the world…. Keep this up and you’re going to have a great life… no matter what path you choose…
You’re training yourself to become a successful person, nice to see young people making their own way and not waiting for ready food as often happens today...
Lawn care guy here and you have better skills then most ppl I know running lawn mower is not as simple as everyone thinks great job staying in line and being a 1/4 inside the line
Wow! Just wow! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Old fart here…girl I’d be proud to work for you any day, your work ethic and maturity are sure to make you successful, but your integrity will make you a great leader of your own company one day. Be well!!
You’re doing a great job, probably inspire other people too. I’m now an old retiree, but my dad got me started at about 10 years old mowing in the neighborhood. And I always made money (and saved some). Great work
