We embarked on a 4.5km stroll along the abandoned railway tracks, starting from Xiamen city centre (Jinbang Park 金榜公园) and ending at Heping Wharf (和平码头) in Siming (思明) district. The Railway Cultural Park, once part of the Yingtan-Xiamen Railway bulit in 1955, now provides a picturesque walking path. Bicycles and e-scooters are not allowed on the tracks, allowing you to connect with residents and explore various shops along the way.
Should your walk end in Siming, you can opt to explore the nearby Hongshan Temple (鸿山寺) or take a bus to Nanputuo Temple (南普陀寺) and Xiamen University (厦门大学) (admission to the university requires a ticket, and advance online booking is necessary).
铁路文化公园东起金榜公园，西至和平码头，全长约4.5公里，沿线串起金榜公园、万石植物园、虎溪岩、凝山公园等厦门岛主要景区。
如果您在思明结束徒步，可以选择探索附近的鸿山寺或乘坐公交车前往南普陀寺和厦门大学（进入大学需要门票，并且需要提前在线预订）。
