1. You guys missed Jack's ringtone being the Night Springs theme. 2. You guys missed the book about Quantum Physics written by Sam Lake and features a photo of him on the cover. It's in an office below the TPS reports guy. 3. You guys showed and talked about The Sudden Stop book you can see in the show, but not the one you can find in the actual game. You can examine it, and it's in Act 2 in a sort of checkpoint that has x-rays and such in it and you also have to kill two guys in it. 4. You guys seem to be ignorant about Alan Wake. *SPOILERS* ahead... - Alan didn't murder his wife Alice. In fact if you finish the game you will see she's very well alive. - Alan Wake didn't have writer's block during The Sudden Stop. Finishing it is what gave him writer's block because it ended the book series that made him famous, and he didn't know how to write other genres. - It's easy to bash product placement in anything, but it's handled quite nicely in Alan Wake. There are plenty of fake brands, but you do occasionally run across lithium batteries, some Ford or Lincoln cars, and Alan's phone is a Verizon. Yet it's never in your face about it, and because of that it actually makes the world feel more real. There's multiple brands of batteries and cars, and Alan probably would have Verizon since it's the best and most expensive network. I'd say Quantum Break is more bashable for its product placement. Every car is a Nissan, every device is a Microsoft device, and it takes every chance it can get for these to have screen time. So yeah that's my two cents...
Also if you look at the picture of Sam Lake posted on the board in Alan Wake's Return you'll see Alex Casey written on it which is also the name on his FBI badge. It's a reference to Wake killing off Casey in his fictitious novels, and now for real. So no, no Max Payne crossover. Rockstar owns the Max Payne license now anyways.
Heisenberg Alan Wake definitely needed Verizon being in the middle of nowhere in the mountains. I love T-Mobile, but even I know I'm not getting service in Bright Falls lol.
They also missed that Joyce and Serene were words used long ago in Alan Wake in James McCaffery's voice in Alan's books about a guy. Hinting that all 3 games exist in the same universe since Max identity was hidden for security purposes as the media does sometimes.
A fact that you missed is that as you said Paul is wearing the Stonecrows T-shirt and in the hallway of the Uni there's a poster saying that Stonecrows are a tribute band of Old Gods of Asgard which is the band from Alan Wake.
@BrokenMikrofone Hahaha, it has nothing to do with time. They didn't announce that they started working on it. They simply said that they want to work on a sequel when the time comes. They have other projects first. Control, for example, which only came out a few months ago and has the biggest Alan Wake easter egg out of them all.
@BrokenMikrofone I just told you. They haven't announced a sequel for Alan Wake yet. They said that they definitely want to work on it. Game companies don't just randomly release games without announcing it.
@BrokenMikrofone Remedy has been very honest. Sam Lake himself said that he doesn't want to work on another Max Payne and that the series is done for now. So if they say they want to make an Alan Wake 2, they mean it.
Son of a bitch I play the video after end Quantum Break, I know there are spoilers of Quantum Break but Alan Wake too???? I Haven't played Alan Wake yet you son of a bitch!!!
Back To The Future easter egg dude ..you forgot...at the library scene..where jack try to save Will...there is words on top of the clock tower..'Save The Clock'.....sound like save the clock tower from the BtTF.
There's also another one. In Act 5 Part 2, you'll need to solve a time puzzle in order to unlock the code for the parking lot gate. The code was "665 The neighbour of the beast." This code was often used since the days of Max Payne and MP2.
The one i loved the most was seeing AWE sprayed on a wall around the same time there was that X-Man joke. AWE - Altered World Event from Control. There are not only references to past Remedy games, but to future ones too. Now thats awesome.
Alan Wake is more connected to Control than this game. There ware records and case files you can collect confirming the events of Alan Wake were an Altered World Event and that he disappeared over a decade ago. There's even a DLC where Alan Wake gives visions to the main character Jesse Faden with the same voice actor. Jesse Faden's actor is the one who also plays Beth Wilder
As someone who was very late on Quantum break and Control.. Thank you for spoiling Alan wake for me. I know the game has been out for a very long time but a spoiler is still a spoiler (hence why you brought up the spoiler alert as a joke afterwards)
I just finished the game and loved it. Always a big fan of Remedy games. I think I fully understood the story and the time travel stuff. There is just one point that I believe is probably a goof. Let's call Jack2 the character we play with at Act 5 and Jack1 the other that has lives the university story for the first time. At the end of Act 5 -Return to the university there is a time stop (stutter) in which Jack2 sees frozen Beth Wilder and some soldiers loading the Jack1 in a truck. If the stutter really happened at that time, the first time, when Jack1 is experiencing it then he should not be frozen as stutters do not affect him since the Fracture incident. He should be moving in time and getting free. They made a huge mistake in a perfect time travel story just so they could put that little romance between Jack1 and Beth Wilder. Tell me your opinion. Thank you!
when I saw that I thought the same thing but then I realized JACK1 WAS UNCONSCIOUS. He was knocked out by Liam Burke. Jack didn't wake up until 2 hours (ish) later inside the van when Liam was confronting Beth.
