The PlayStation 3 has sold almost 88 million copies since launch, becoming one of the most successful consoles ever. It's easy to forget just how scuffed the initial launch was, but with time, it would amass a pretty strong collection of titles.
The generation saw new IPs like inFamous, Grid, and Dragon Age alongside the continuation of series like Gran Turismo and Uncharted. God of War and Metal Gear Solid finally received their highly-anticipated conclusions, cementing their legacy once and for all (even if they would receive follow-ups).
Ratchet and Clank would also receive an HD collection of their past ventures. Of course, there are also third-party sequels, including Far Cry 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Overall, there's plenty to choose from. Check out 15 of the best PS3 titles that are worth playing.

😢 I’ll give anything to relive PS3/360 era of gaming. It wasn’t perfect by no means but, a hell of a lot better than what we’re getting now.

@@JimMcNuttynot ever, games like mg rising, splinter cell blacklist, gow 3, dead space 1 and 2, ninja gaiden 2, bayonetta, lost odyssey, mk 9 etc had a better gameplay than most of nowadays titles. I have a series x and i m playing the more indie and Xbox 360 games..

so cool to see PS3 still around and that it is an options. Im am done with PS4 and PS5. huge graphics but VERY poor storylines with less than memorable characters. I just bought a PS3 and a bunch of old games like Deus Ex from 2011, Silent Hill 2 and 3 and Homecoming too. Cant wait to get back to old classics.

I wish sony would gave us a last ps 3 exclusive just to push the console to the limits one last time engines were somehow more interesting in that era they played more with physics and water and ragdoll and all that stuff just more effects. Now its all boring unreal engine 5.

To be honest, I’m surprised at this point we haven’t received a remaster or a remake for the infamous trilogy. Fans of the series been asking for it and just like Bloodbourne. I’m surprised we haven’t gotten one yet. 👀

Not a smart idea to start the list with a Japanese exclusive game for the system, especially when that game is available in English for a more powerful console.

nice recommended games list. Now for my 15 best PS3 games of all time (viewer edition) 1. Demon Souls 2. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen 3. Ultra Street Fighter IV 4. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 5. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon 6. Borderlands 2 7. Last of Us 8. Just Cause 2 9. Mass Effect 2 10. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch 11. Resonance of Fate 12. Deus Ex: Human Revolution 13. Bioshock 2 14. Fallout: New Vegas 15. L.A. Noire Im aware that most of these have PS4 ports. It's more or less for people that are still sporting the PS3 and not interested in upgrading to the newer PS consoles. That also applies to this videos list as well.

Absolutely incredible how since I decided to switch back to PS3, I get a new video almost every day. I know that’s sort of just algorithms, but it’s coming from more channels I follow. I think everyone is slowly agreeing that gaming used to be better

Red Faction Guerrilla could have subbed out Grand Turismo 5. GT5 was solid, but wasn't very popular. "kojima" productions wasn't pronounced correctly. Good list tho.

I feel that all these kinds of lists fail when saying what the best games to play on the PS3 are, games like red dead, batman, uncharted 2, God of war 3, Skyrim, or GTA 5, really? They have been released for PS4 and 5, you should be best playing them there, you don't want to play them on PS3. In other words, if it got a remastered version, play that one, don't play the PS3 version, do yourself a favor.

I got Far Cry 3 for Christmas and played for 8 hours the first day which is way beyond any other game. The Last of Us, Uncharted 3, and Gran Turismo 5 were also really good.

The fact that PS3 was second place to Xbox in sales for a large part of its life imo is the main reason it was filled with incredible games. I think Sony today doesn't understand that they'll eventually lose their position to PC now and become irrelevant I've no idea how gameranx missed killzone
