You nail so much about “How expensive is it?” truly becomes “What do you want to do?” We can do New York on the cheap with $18 Amtrak from Philly & free things to do for a day trip, or spend $500/night at a top hotel.
This video is so helpful! Sorry if this is a dumb question but you make going to an ATM to exchange U$D money for pesos sound so easy. Is that the best way to exchange money? Just waiting until I get there and going to a local atm? I will be staying at an all-inclusive hotel
No prob! ATM *can* be great.. but it's best to find the ones that are connected to your bank (i.e. scotia bank is associated with bank of america). and a lot of *new* ATMS have eee... a bunch of new fees. so just keep an eye out. that's my opinion!
ooooh I have SO many friends that did this and loved it. (I went mannnny years ago .. when they still let you climb on the ruins 😯) it's such a cool place to visit!
As Cancun expensive: Depends on your preferences. On a couple occasions I've split my time between $9 a night and $400 a night accommodations on the same trip. I'd rather take half my trip at an AI, and the other half downtown rather than paying for an AI and leaving the property to go diving.
Can you please talk more about getting around in Cancun, playa del Carmen, and tulum? I’m planning a trip in which we will be jumping around. Also do you know of any private transportation??
oooo jumping around! This is a great question. I've personally gone to all of these places, but in transport was using taxis and ADO bus. I'll keep this in mind as I create more content! If someone else in the comments has tips on private transport, please share!!!

I think I saw a video of you towards the end of Aloft which I think was downtown. You said you were going to stay at an All-Inclusive. Did you need to change over because downtown was so boring? Did you miss the beach? I think I have an All-Inclusive but it's in the Nothern ?? part of the hotel zone.
nah! i wasn’t here long enough and came from the beach and next destination was besch. if this was my only destination- i would likely have done beach. but downtown was a nice change!
Do you always feel safe there? I want to wander from the hotel zone into the downtown but I’m kind of worried because I’ll be with my mother. She wants to go see museums and maybe artefacts but I don’t want her to be harassed by people
Ooh this is a hard question to answer. For me, as long as I'm staying on the tourist path, generally I feel fine. Someone else have an opinion or experience to share?
Any particular taxi or shuttle service you recommend for booking transportation from cancun airport to Puerto juarez? I tried your link above for transportation but it's pre set for destinations to tulum. I'm wanting to book something ahead of time but scared to pick something that may be fraudulent online😬

Big Hello, u r probably best person to guide me. i wish to travel to cancun in the future, maybe january next yr. i dont want a hotel in the downtown. if u could tell me hotel names of the cheapest hotels, resorts in the hotel area thats the beach area. the long beach side of cancun which looks like a 7 shape, from playa delfines till playa la perlas, even the kukulkan road , if u give me 10 hotel names i can contact them plus i need airport transfer,pls guide me
