i unironically love how you made your showcase unique and fun to watch. i'm tired of other people who just list their mods, show screenshots from the mod's page and call it a day
That was my goal! I wanted to create a story for the mods, and for most of them I was able to do that. This was all improv, so going into this video, I had no idea exactly what I was going to say. The story just developed over time!
As seen in the video, Not Enough Animations also upgrades held maps to actually show the map in your hand! Very helpful when looking for that buried treasure in 3rd person
I was just casually looking through mods that I could add on Fabric, and then I stumbled upon this- Not only did the video deliver by, well, showing me some actually visually pleasing mods, but I also absolutely ADORED the way this video was presented. There's a certain charm to this video, and it's simplicity is what makes it so uni- (cough cough video reference) Anyhow, just the overall composition and vibe that I felt while watching this video has won me over. You just got a subscriber champ, keep it up!
Crazy how such small changes can go a long way. I love that they just feel like enhancements to vanilla. Also the editing, music and presentation is just chefs kiss 🤌
Glad to see that wake's bugs with water disappearing was fixed. Oh, and you forgot to mention that particle rain adds sandstorms to deserts and mesa so that they're not just empty when it rains everywhere else.
DUDE I've been looking for a mod that increases the render distance of entity blocks like signs or beds for wayyy too long and you just popped out of nowhere and showed exactly that Thank you for saving my life, I was slowly going insane lol
Probably the most Pleasant mod showcase I've ever seen. Also glad to see you're the one person who doesn't use shaders. I get why many do, but I want to see this stuff juxtaposed with the vanilla look, you know? Shaders often wash things out.
I love shaders, but sometimes the simplicity of the regular game is just so nice. Plus, shaders often tanks performance in the worlds I’m on, and fps is delicious. I want as much of it as I can get 😋
I've been playing a lot of modded minecraft in vr recently and I've been trying to add new mods every day and this is exactly what I was looking for. Please make more I want to get too 100 lol (I'm at like 75 or something right now, good video.) Also if you want I have my own list of mods that are all client sided that you should check out if you decide to make a next video: Old Inventorism (For old Pre-1.19.3 users) 3d Skin Layers (Doesn't work in VR) Ambient Environment Ambient Sounds AppleSkin Catalogue Chat Heads Drip Sounds Dynamic Crosshair Eating Animation Falling Leaves Item Physics Lite Presence Footsteps Sound Physics Not Enough Crashes Game Menu Mod Option Spark MoBends (Older mod, doesn't support latest version but it's super cool) Inventory Hud
I was actually doing this exact thing a couple days ago, but man this video was so high quality and entertaining, incredible work, and I'll probably be adding some of these mods to my game
Great video! Another mod I think would be nice to include is Effective by Doctor4t. It adds a whole slew of water effects from the trailers like cascades at the end of waterfalls, splashes for mobs and items, and even more subtle stuff like little ripples in the water from raindrops hitting the surface. Otherwise; I really enjoyed the video and thank you for making such well made and helpful content! ❤
I love the effective mod! And it would have been included if It was available for fabric, but I checked, and unfortunately the creator will not be making fabric versions anymore
I like this one, such a fun way to introduce mod. When he said the word "subscribe" the subscribe button really just glow a rainbow border. No reason to not click that now lol
Just came from one of your other videos, subscribed and literally a few minutes later you posted! This was a fun watch, I'll definitely be checking these mods out! :)
The Explosions look so SICK I always wished they updated the visuals one day. Like even mild shaders (IE Minecraft story mode and Dont mine at night lighting)
This genuinely feels like a video posted by a 1mil+ subs channel. I was so surprised to see you didn't even have 2k subscribers. Great work and please continue with these amazing videos!
Here's a few mods i would add to this list: *-3D skin layer:* adds depths to player skin so the second layer isn't floating *-camera overall:* makes the camera move more organically (though best to avoid this one if you easily get motion sick) *-footprint particles:* no description needed *-seamless loading screens:* takes a screenshot of the world when you left it and displays it when you load it *-tiny item animation:* makes item slightly larger when you pick them up in the inventory (sometimes it's the little things)
I've been working on a follow up video to this, and it includes some of these! I've used them all, and they are absolutely amazing. I agree, the small things have a huge difference. Flow is one I've been playing around with- that adds animations to menu screens; maybe give that one a look! Thanks for sharing!
awesome video, introduced me to so many mods that I will definitely download so thanks! (also I didn't know I can use Fresh Animations with Sodium now wooo!)
I have like 30+ mods already in my survival vanilla gameplay just to make the game feel better 😅 this just shows how much mojang can add to make the gameplay better
Lots of effort was put into this video. This is super underrated and definitely deserves more attention. At least the algorithm has blessed me with this wonderful video.
The only ones I would be careful with are particle rain and falling leaves, but even those didn’t seem to have a very noticeable impact on my gameplay. Good luck though! I know falling leaves has a config to mess around with, you might find one for particle rain as well if you find too many particles are decreasing your frame rate!
