Urban Explorers love to explore abandoned buildings and spaces that humanity has forgotten. When explaining his passion for urban exploration, Mike Correll said: “One of the things that has always attracted me to abandoned locations is the austere beauty of the neglected or forgotten. The textures, colors, shadows, and lines speak of a life once lived within the confines, and the absence is as empty as it is filled. “ So join us as we look at the 15 creepiest things discovered by urban explorers.

The limo is a Cadillac named "American Dream", there's plenty of articles on it. Don't see anything about it being abandoned in the woods, but it has been recently restored and is a museum show piece.

I love historical properties. Especially from the victorian era. I moved from CA to TX to live in a 7,500 square foot, 3 story, Queen Anne style, historical, victorian mansion, that I bought, which was built in 1904. The whole thing has been beautifully restored, now, but all the main features, and key architectural points were left intact; even the original oak floors. It's literally my dream home. I have 7 fireplaces; all with amazing mantles. One of which has 11 foot columns, with gargoyles on top. I have 13 foot ceilings throughout, 14 chandaliers, multiple staircases, 5 sets of 10 foot, original, cedar, pocket doors, a widow's walk, up in the witch's hat, on the 3rd story, with 360° leaded glass, that gives off a priceless view of the surrounding town, wrap around, covered porches on, both, the 1st and 2nd stories, plus more. I even bought it with all the original furniture, so every room is filled with stunning, priceless antiques. It's like my own, miniature castle! It even came with 2 additional structures on the property; one of which ("The Maid's Quarters") I have rented out, and a carriage house, which I use as a garage. There's just so much history, and although it looks a bit intimidating from the outside (not the condition of it, but it's just the epitome of what one envisions when he or she thinks of the classic haunted mansion), it's so warm, welcoming, and cozy. You can literally feel how much this house was, and is, loved.❤️❤️

Somewhat an urban myth. Use your common sense lol They didn’t literally abandon the prison with everyone locked in their cells with zero food or water. The truth is hard to ascertain because the authorities lied to cover their asses, and the inmates exaggerated and cherry-picked incidents that were used to represent the overall conditions so they could get more money in lawsuits.

One summer back in the early '60s, my family took us to a cottage in Maine for a 2-week vacation. Another boy -- whose family was nearby -- and I took a hike through woods and fields in the area. Deep in the outback we came upon a partially collapsed house, wherein we found stacks of letters that spanned about 40 years in the life of the house. There was no explanation as how why the house had been abandoned.
@karlharvymarx2650
@karlharvymarx2650 Год назад
Oddly enough, my mother went urban exploring with me in a large abandoned house where there were hundreds of reels of old movie film. I don't know how to explain why, but there was just something creepy about seeing a whole family doing their thing back in the 1910's or 1920's. It reminded me a little of a cross between "The Shining" and "The Great Gatsby." The women were dressed up in what I think was called Art Deco. The men were almost always in white suits unless they were swimming or boating in the lake. It seemed like every adult owned a fancy old car. They would have picnics under a big tree in the front yard while "servants" appeared to ready the place for outdoor parties at night. Then it all suddenly ended, I'm guessing at The Great Depression or maybe a war. Someone obviously lived there until at least the 1970's but the movies and history and just life of the place seemed to abruptly end very long ago. I always picture one of the bouncy young ladies inheriting the house after everyone she knew was gone, and just going rancid all alone for 30 or 40 years. I wonder if she used to watch those old movies or maybe just live in her memories but never move forward in time until she finally died. Odds are probably against that last part being right, but the house just seemed to radiate the kind of loneliness that turns a person into a ghost long before they die.

In 2012, the car disappeared and was abandoned not only because of the difficulty of finding a place to adapt to the car but also for maintenance. Wheels and windows missing with only its carcass and everything else damaged, it was recovered by Autoseum, a technical teaching museum in Nassau County, New York for restoration. In 2019, the wreckage fell into the hands of Mike Dezer, the owner of the Dezerland Park Car Museum and Tourist Attractions in Orlando, who intended to leave the car restored in a museum. Restoration work began on the limousine in August of 2019. But Due to the Covid-19, the start of restoration was somewhat delayed. Others have already addressed this, but the image of the super-stretch limo is so badly photoshopped that a blind person could spot it. You would be hard-pressed to find any remaining forest areas in Europe so infrequently visited that something like that would be unknown, and the mix of plant and tree types is ridiculous. Wtf is an "abandoned" forest? Joggers and hikers don't "inhabit" a forest, unless they live there. What would make an abandoned vehicle in a forest "top secret?" There are just so many stupid aspects to that segment, I didn't even bother watching the rest of the video, which is a shame, bc the preceding story about the inmates trapped in the prison during a hurricane was a story with which I was unfamiliar. If you can't find enough legit stuff for a given video, maybe choose ten instead of fifteen.

As for the abandoned prisoners : It is absolutely the sorriest thing ever to abandon these prisoners. They may have been criminals but to abandon them with no food or water or help of any kind makes the people who kept them locked up there just as bad as they were. Human beings can be even worse than the criminals who got caught and sentenced. It's sickening to consider that I'm the same living breathing human beings that left these poor souls. I actually hope that most of them got away free.
@clarenceworley8134
@clarenceworley8134 9 месяцев назад
What do you think they should have done? The entire city was left abandoned like that, it the whole reason FEMA was even formed. No one should be left like that, but obviously they are going to help women and children before they start evacuating criminals
@Rick-if5zb
@Rick-if5zb 9 месяцев назад
@@clarenceworley8134 Criminals or not they are still human beings. The authorities had plenty of fore warning and could have sent the prisoners to another prison temporarily. But some how people have the tendency to be more cruel to prisoners. And lumping them all into the same category...the one who got caught with a joint and the one who raped and killed somebody both housed in the same prison. I actually love mankind but it's people I can't stand.

There is pictures of the Limo when it looks new . Let’s go back to the start. In the late 1980s, Ohrberg dreamed up the idea of creating the world’s longest car - so he set about building the American Dream, which was initially based on a 1970s Cadillac Eldorado. In the end, however, there’s not much Eldorado left - save for the front grille, the wheel design and a few trim pieces. That’s because (as you might expect) the American Dream required extensive modifications in order to stretch out to 100 feet long - modifications that included placing six wheels in the front, a hinge in the middle, and a dozen more wheels in back. And then there were the modifications that favored extravagance over function. The American Dream had a helipad in back, and there are a few surviving photos of an actual helicopter sitting on top of the thing. The limo’s rear end also included a Jacuzzi - and there are more than a few photos of people hanging out, enjoying their Jacuzzi time, in the back of this real, working, 100-foot-long automobile. Between the weight of the helipad and the water in the Jacuzzi, you can suddenly start to understand why the rear end of this thing included so many wheels

Weird Stuff. The UFO village has a storied history. " the project was abandoned in 1980 due to investment losses and several car accident deaths and suicides during construction, which is said to have been caused by the act of bisecting the Chinese dragon sculpture located near the resort gates to widen the road to the buildings. Other stories indicated that the site was the former burial ground for Dutch soldiers"

the UFO village was abandoned due to lack of interest, it was designed for tourists but never really took off and the company went bust. The Soviet space shuttles - the Buran, the one that did fly was destroyed in an accident at the Baikonur Cosmodrome when its hangar collapsed on it during a storm. There are two in this video both also at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, which are sister shuttles to the original used for testing. The Cosmodrome is still being used, not of the scale it was during the cold war - but the Americans pay to use it. When the Soviet Union ended the whole program was scrapped due to cost and the shuttles just left, another one is in a museum in Germany.

First built in Burbank, California in 1986 by famed car customiser Jay Ohrberg, "The American Dream" originally measured 18.28 meters (60 feet), rolled on 26 wheels, and had a pair of V8 engines at the front and rear. Ohrberg later extended the limo to an astounding 30.5 meters (100 feet) long.

The limo looks like this one from the 80s called a Hot Tub Limo, there is one called the American Dream and that one was unique from what I can tell. It was restored and put into a museum. But this could be a hot tub limo based off the look of the wheels and how long it is. No idea how it got there but at least we know it had to have been put there anytime from the 80s to now. When the limo I think it is, was created and put on the market. Maybe whoever found it could find the license plate and have a trace done if possible? I hardly doubt that someone would have left the plate on it cause of them dumping it out there, but would be cool to find out.
