I’ve been saying it since I got it a few weeks ago… Pikovaya Dama might be the best thing I’ve ever smelled. I can’t think of many besides maybe Mitsuoko and Roja Haute Luxe that smell this mesmerizing to my nose. I’m utterly obsessed with it. Smells ridiculously luxurious. Someone said it’s like “royal rich-ass baby powder” and that’s sort of accurate albeit way simplified. There’s also touches of incense in there, all floating on a base that’s almost resinous. Feels like you just took a bubble bath at the Biltmore with the most expensive soaps you can imagine
Diaghilev is a must buy for all Chypré lovers. I call it the Mona Lisa of fragrances. For me, one of the most important things about fragrance is how it makes you feel, this makes me feel majestic. There are only two fragrances that have made me feel majestic; Diaghilev and Chypré Extraordinaire. I give it a 10/10.
Love Raw Gold! Amazing opening notes; moderate longevity and projection with a classy and intoxicating dry down. Beautiful fragrance... Would love to locate a bottle of the original EDP.
I’ve heard people say Iris smells like cash!😂 Very interesting take and I am in the category of not dressing up or going anywhere but ill wearing perfume. I’d be very interesting on a video on the whole idea of masculine and feminine in perfumes maybe with Dana. Would be fascinating. As a woman I wear more masculine fragrances and I get more compliments when I do - MDCI Amber Topkapi being the most complimented of all.
I am the same and it works beautifully with my skin. I started buying for hubby but alas ; he doesn’t have a nose🤦🏻♀️. I sprayed on me and boom , my journey grew and I’m loving it. I’m intrigued by the Topkapi now. 🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺
Mandala - Masque Milano/ Jubillation XXV - Amouage/ N.001 - House of Sillage/ Oud Malaki - Chopard are my luxurious goes to wear for "special occasions".
No Dior Homme Parfum? Quelle surprise...I own Auster, but people should be warned to go lightly with this one. Potent in the extreme, it can choke people out if you get carried away. . If I'm going to wear it out, I'll apply it a good two hours before heading out the door.
OMG, I just bought Bois Ambrette today after I smelled it in the store, but got upset from the reviews of Fragrantica ppl. Thanks for putting it in this list Sebastian ☺️
I know there are probably 100 other perfumes you'd have wanted to list but when it comes to oud, I feel like Strangelove NYC is at a completely different level because the sensuous animalic part of oud and all its complexity is made very apparent and anyone who knows what real oud smells like (which still doesn't include all perfumers) will be struck by Strangelove.
Nice, It's Royal Oud for me it made someone told me I smell like a french whore, I took that as a positive compliment. Should do a list of fragrances that ought to be kept a secret and not share with anyone. Also a list of incense fragrances that can or may repel bad energy when in public for the winter season.
yes and have discussed in a few videos like this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hJ8Cqhli5dk.html and this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5xt4YzXi2SQ.html
I have but need to circle back to it. They have a huge catalog and can't get caught up with stuff that came out and went past me before I got my nose on it! :)
I bought Electimuss Auster, but have come to regret it. i found it fatiguing in the extreme and would happily sell my nearly full bottle at a substantial discount. I'll stick to Coromandel and Dior Homme going forward.
It's strange you haven't pick any from amouage and they have some fragrances perfect for this list like jubilation 40 extrait or boundless or interlude 53 extrait reflection 45 may be
The brands distribution and new ownership. It's still made. I did discuss it in this video recently: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NpL9Pr1ih8Y.html
