I was on a six hour flight, where I father and son booked seats where there was a seat in between them. I was in that seat, and all they wanted to do was talk to each other through me. I eventually had to ask them to stop even though I had asked them if either one of them wanted to trade seats with me and they both said no. So be prepared to not talk to your travel, companion, or you’re being very rude to the person in that middle seat.
I physically print my boarding passes, keep a copy of my license and passport on my phone, I use a RFID passport holder, airfly dongle and ziplock bags.
Zip lock bags are a good one! Seems there’s always a need for one you didn’t expect! I used to print everything and carry it around in a big binder…but then realized it was taking up too much precious space 😂
definitely worth considering who may be able to access the info. My thinking is that booking documents were already emailed to me, and I’ve often needed to provide a copy of my passport via email to various entities. But I absolutely recommend having two factor authentication turned on and having a strong password for email.
Bring 2 ZipLoc bags and empty your pockets into them before going through security. I put the bags in my carry on. At the gate, I empty the bags back into my pockets.
Airport hotels that accept vouchers or THE WORST (more like dog kennels). I will go online and book a reasonable hotel nearby then send the airline a copy of the receipt. I have a form letter I attach which states I was exhausted and the line to check into the cheap hotel was an hour long.
Interesting idea, I’ve had good luck at getting decent hotels in Istanbul. The only place I’ve had to do my own hotel was Boston and there were got the Embassy Suites which was reimbursed by the airline.
That’s a good tip! Have you always been successful with the reimbursement? I’ve been lucky and been put up in some beautiful hotels for free…my most memorable was when they gave me a hotel in Times Square that was hundreds of dollars a night for the cash rate!
Instead of a laundry bag, I bring a dry bag. I use it to keep dirty laundry in and when I need to wash clothes in a hotel room it turns into a washing machine. Just add a laundry soap strip and water then seal and rotate the bag to mimic a tumble washer. Leave the clothes to soak for a while, agitate some more and rinse. Voila!
This is my first viewing on your channel. Respectfully, it's a pleasure to watch the animated personality of the female presenter. Its like chatting with a friend. 🤗. I offer a friendly critique of the male presenter to consider having a bit more engaging personality and storyteller style. Kudos to you both for having the bravery in starting/maintaining a channel.
