Every episode on this channel is like this. I once made a joke about this channel that goes: "Remember when the History channel was THIS high quality? Me Neither".
I'm Ukrainian and I've always been on top on the situation from the start of invasion. The quality and precision of facts in this documentary is impressive. It's the best one I saw so far.
Where do you think they will strike in this offensive. And will there be 2 fronts with possibly one being across the dnipro river and is it likely that they will try and get behind bakhmut to liberate it. I just want to see the hrim 2 in action as well as the western tanks. Can't wait to see the challenger 2 kicking ass. I'm from uk
@@brookwhiteman9810 Ultimately only the President, Zaluzhny, Budanov and their advisors know for sure. It's important to keep true information out of public outlets in order to have a successful offensive. I'm sure we all will find out soon though
KG, makes good videos but he's not always right and the fact he claims this war is all rus fault and that it's an illegal invasion proves he either has no idea what's going on or he is pandering to YT and ukr simps
@@ThePRCommanderbasically it prevented the Russians from creating an air corridor into the capital. It’s still arguably considered the most key battle of the war
runway of the Hostomer airport was destroyed in first days of the war, thus town lost strategic importance and main fights moved to other places like Moshun there are available videos on on youtube about Hostomel fight
With the annexetion of Kherson/ Zaporizia/ Luhansk/ Donbass Putin has created a situation were Russia can't back out. This Process has to be recognized as illegal and reversed, but any Russian who even mention this will be prosecuted as a traitor. We have to expect that Russia is willing to keep this conflict going for a long time :(
@@unitedfloridamapper7669 Why are you lying about 60% of the Ukrainian population having fled? Source? A simple google search states that app. 5-6 million have fled to neighbooring countries?
But not care for all the Russian wounded, dead, and families that lost someone because were forced to fight or face life in prison? It’s a double edged sword. But I can agree Ukrainians are suffering more. Hopefully we get peace as soon as possible.
The art looks like what people used to draw of descriptions of battlefields before cameras and phones were invented. Since In bakmut everyone is in trenches someone should re-edit and make it look black and white like ww1
@@LitoSi they certainly are biased, but they do state hard facts and also give official Russian views/numbers on these events as a comparison to Ukrainian ones
@LitoSi atleast I'm not crazy. I love K&G until I listened to this video. To be repeatedly saying unprovoked and consistently inserting their bias pretty much ruined the video for me and I probably won't be supporting the channel anymore. Do your research @kings and generals Ukraine has crossed political lines and broken major treaties with Russia to encourage this conflict. I'm from USA and my government is quite literally pushing Ukraine to do this and is equally at fault.
@@asdkjh4370 Many citizens of Ukraine left for Poland. A lot of people who lost everything. But also many people who simply went to Poland to live a full life. Instead of defending Ukraine, these people fled. As a citizen of Ukraine, I am ashamed of such people. As long as some protect the country, others do not give life to the citizens of Poland. If it were my will for those people whose house did not pass through the war, but he ran away to live at the expense of the citizens of another country, I would force such people to work for the good of this country. Unfortunately, all strong people and patriots are now on the front lines or have died, others are volunteering, the rest are working to keep the state functioning. As a former US soldier, I sometimes think about going over there. Not necessarily to fight, but to aid Ukraine in any way they could use me. Im totally impressed by the fighting skill and courage of the Ukrainian military and it's people. 🇺🇲♥️🇺🇦
@@omarrr166 you comparing iraq with russia attacking Ukraine???? Cmon man. You cant jist say "iraq" and tjink you got a point. To the american: if you tjink you can be helpfull go. You dont need to go and be a soldier. Ukrainians need help in all sectors.🤝
@@pipo4158 Yeah. Even going as a tourist would be helpful, foreign money coming in will help out their economy. If you don’t want to fight - very understandable! - then you could volunteer for the Frontline Kitchen I think it’s called. They make food for the soldiers every day, so they can eat high quality fresh food every day. Keeps morale high, helps civilians feel they are contributing and stay connected to the army - of which they may well have family members currently in it and involved in combat operations! - and keeps the soldiers operating at peak efficiency and health (for combat. Obviously war is unhealthy in general, even without injuries)
@@pipo4158 Alternatively, if you have combat medic training, OP could either provide training to Ukrainian medic aspirants, or volunteer for a position in a combat squad.
Go train them.. they got regular people going into war with little to no training. They’re running out of troops, I think every country from NATO should send about 5000 troops each! That would make a huge difference, a well trained army can wipe out a lot of these Russians.
It really is hard to believe just how much of an impact HIMARS has had in the war, and the fact a single weapon system has had such a dramatic and obvious effect still boggles the mind. Literally overnight the russian artillery advantage dropped massively.
@@comensee2461 While this is true, the resources required to dull the impact of Himars is huge. Scattering ammo and shells between different warehouses. Constant radar monitoring and gps jamming. Limited fuel supplies and such.
@@comensee2461 Not entirely true, the main thing HIMARS has done is force the russians to move their supply depots far away from the lines which with how beyond gods awful their logistics are has massively reduced the amount of firepower they can deploy. While there aren't as many things being blown up the effect has been very significant.
It makes me wonder how fast would US Forces absolutely obliterate russian army in a direct fight if single piece of equipment is making such a difference.
@@Manaphy0882 Just look at Desert Storm for that, took 4 days from the US crossing into Iraq (Feb 24 ironically enough) for there to be no Iraqi army. The last big tank battle of the 20th Century was when about a dozen vehicles of the US Eagle Troop absolutely deleted about 100 tanks (and many other armored vehicles) of the "elite" Republican Guard.
@@Manaphy0882 the worrying possibility in a war between russia and the U.S is not the bombing of cities with nuclear weapons (both sides aren't stupid enough to do that) but bombing the frontline of troops, causing essentially massive troop deaths due to radiation poisoning and the blast radiuses.
The Ukrainian equipment upgrades reminds me of a “Tech Tree” in a video game. As the campaign progresses, the Ukrainian military unlocks more and more powerful weapons in its Tech Tree.
@@andreyshevchenko4689 that's a sickening thing to say Mr Russian Bot. If you are a human just open your eyes and see the devastation that is happening to your country. Consider humbling yourself to God and asking Him what's going on instead of trusting that fake sick big Kirril.
I'm not even a minute in and I am quite impressed by the animation on this video! The character rigs and illustrations are very well done. History will remember who was the aggressor in this conflict, stand with Ukraine!
im not with any side war is ugly but we have to be fair and aknowledge that the ukranian army have been shelling russians in the donbas since 2014 for 8 years before the russian army finally intervening
@@massoudhabchy7120 : true. However the Ukrainians were only countering a separatist faction in those regions, spurred by Russian espionage. Then what prompted the full on invasion by Russia more than a year ago? Remember Czechoslovakia in 1938? Same play done by a fascist leader back then. Stay safe, stay sane, stay strong Ukraine 🇺🇦
@@massoudhabchy7120 While true it's still a very bad excuse to invade Ukraine, especially seeing that it only started after the first invasion in 2014 and the subsequent arms deliveries to the separatists by Russia. This video is absolutely amazing and very accurate. I remember each of these events as if it were yesterday. Especially when I had a class in the college and just read that Kherson was liberated. It was so surprising that it was hard to believe, but everyone was very happy. Although, it was a little under-emphasized that a vastly superior enemy force was held in a completely surrounded Mariupol for 82 days and for 86 days in general. An absolute feat. Also the fact that the small hero city of Bakhmut has been held for about 9 months by now is no less a feat, despite the fact that Russia is throwing almost all of its free resources into this direction and the same 9 months declares that the city will fall in just a little while. I wanted everyone to know about the exploits of our heroes, because it is very difficult to survive in that hell and not go crazy. By the way, I liked it from the first seconds of the video. It is not so often that someone mentions that the war did not start on February 24, 2022, but much earlier. It is important
I may be wrong, but the Kherson Counter Offensive, at least in the eyes of the news reporting, was the most shocking turn of the war. The fact that Ukraine not only managed to hold its ground but was actually starting to retake seized land was absolutely mind blowing
Ukrainian army surprised the hell out of everyone at every turn of the war. I thought Kharkiv would fall within a week of the full scale invasion. The city is literally some 20 miles away from the russian border. Simply astonishing.
The fact hat everyone is surprised Ukraine put up a fight and is winning and or holding its own surprises me!!!!! Why does everyone think Russia would take Ukraine? Do you not think Ukraine would defend itself?? If my government came into my state and ordered Marshall law there are a ton of people I know that would go to the hills and put up a fight. Never under estimate an opponent especially ones you Invade, we know all about it with our fight in Iraq, which I spent almost 18 months on the front line of.
@@marc2638 Putting up a fight is not surprising. But Ukraine did not have a reputation for being a military juggernaut while Russia did. This war is not only testimony to Ukrainian spirit but how far Russia has fallen
@@mesofiusRussia hasn’t targeted Kharkiv. They targeted the areas in Donetsk and Lugansk where people were being killed and oppressed for speaking Russian and wanting to maintain a link to their culture and heritage. Kharkiv is not the target yet.
From watching battles from the time of Alexander the great, Khalid bin Walid to WW2 battles to now on an ongoing battle at this channel it simply amazes me, what a time to be alive indeed
the protests during the blackouts were not about giving up to russian demands in exchange for electricity, it was about unfair distribution of electricity. For example in Vinnitsya employees of the local energy distribution company NEVER shut down their houses and some "elite" residential blocks
The brutality of the Russian army is beyond ruthless. They’re nihilistic psychos. They don’t care if they win just as long as they make others suffer. My heart goes out to the Ukrainian brothers and sisters fighting bravely against this evil
That's how Russia has always been. During the Second Chechen war, when Russia had surrounded Grozny. They gave an ultimatum: Leave Grozny or you will be declared bandits and terrorists. If not for international community forcing Russia to stand down, they would have bombed Grozny, killing countless civilians.
It should be no surprise to anyone that the Russian army has always been brutal. The Russian army is good at only one thing: killing civilians. Slava Ukraini!!🇺🇦
We've been told for long that Russia has one the greatest army on the planet (also thanks to CoD MW2 for that). On 24 Feb 2022 we all think Ukraine won't hold a week, even some "experts" think it'll be done in 3 days, but then weeks, months, a year gone by, but Ukraine still hold. Them Ukrainian boys really shows us the capabilities of the Russian armed forces, which we can say the second strongest army in Ukraine
Wars are hard and many factors playing in one being the best. Overall their is no best army it depends on the fallacies of the army attacking and any slip ups they male more tha. Just sheer overwhelming power
Isn't it crazy how the script was written a month ago but Bakhmut is still somehow holding? If it continues for another month it will overtake Verdun as the longest battle in all of history.
It's crazy to think that a battle in modern times would be anywhere near Verdun's length. Thankfully Bakhmut won't be as bloody as Verdun (over 700,000 casualties at Verdun if anyone is curious about the casualties.)
Yes, the Ukrainian defenders still hold in the western part of the town. Though the ultimate withdrawal is almost inevitable, unless something miraculous happens. Still it is remarkable, but also sad when one sees the pictures of the towns' ruins
holy jeebers, the art style on this one is off the chart. that's to stay in the content on this channel the production quality is already superb, but the art style here really feels like you're put in the middle of the events being depected with all the emotions that go with it. it's a step up from what already is a 10 out of 10 production quality.

after the Soviet union fell, Ukraine held a lot of Soviet nukes. the Budapest treaty saw the return of those nukes in exchange for Russia acknowledgement of Ukraine's sovereignty
The Grain deal was not enough to stabilize food price hike. I live in Asia and this Putin war has caused so much difficulty in my life which anger me much. If the invasion never have happened I would've able to buy a proper house rather get stuck in a small rented apartment, the war also caused severe unstable price hike in fuel which indirectly causing housing price in my country to spike out of my financial reach, my dream of providing a better home for my family has gone to dust. After Russia's defeat in Ukraine that country should pay all the damaged it caused to Ukraine and the world's economy from the first day of its invasion on sovereign Ukraine. Also for further note here, many muslim in my country supports Russia just because Zelensky is a jew and Russia have a muslim dedicated army...the Kadirovites. These fools don't even know this war has making their life more difficult as many has lost their jobs due to the declining economy impacted by this war. All this said, it is not only Ukrainian must win this for their freedom and sovereignity but also for the world's recovery from this horrible war launched by Putin. May this shows Russia's friend China do not even try to start a war in this era. That's why Russia need to fall to be a stern warning to China's ambition of attacking Taiwan or any ASEAN country they see as weak militarily.
When I seen that 40 mile long armor collom even I thought Ukraine was in deep trouble. How come that 40 mile with all that armor and trucks could not back it to the capital ? Ukraine needs all our support ! Long Live Ukraine !
They ran out of petrol, I guess, the petrol trucks were targeted by Ukr ambush squads. I saw those trucks in occupied Balaklia as russian columns drove through.
@@Romkosss Even more simple, corruption, sold the fuel for vodka and cheap knock off Chinese Tyres instead of military standard, another YT Perun has a channel history full of review of Ukranian, Russian and Global military processes. Vanro = lying to get promotion, so everyone is fully focused on the advance Comrade Commander etc
@@Romkosss Not just that. Low level commanders weren't told that they are in Belarus to Invade Ukraine, they were told that they are there for training. So a lot of them figured they will just write down that they trained, but not really bother, meaning that there was a lot of precious fuel and supplies to sell for some nice profit. By the time the order came to move into Ukraine, they quite simply did not have the supplies needed to actually get to Kyiv. Good old systematic corruption.
There will of course be many other points worth mentioning. Personally I would add the endless announcements of nuclear red lines from Russia, which Ukraine and its partners cross, only for Medvedev to declare a new nuclear red line. What are we up to now? Number 10? Even the grain deal was subject to a nuclear threat for a while.
@enter tainment seriously Ivan? The Ukrainians have had a separate culture and ethnic identity for a very long time. This invasion has only reinforced it
I would argue #16 would be the Russian stated goal or preventing NATO expansion causing NATO expansion with Finland and potentially Sweden. It's important to the war because it shows a strategic goal failure for Russia as a consequence of Invading Ukraine. Russia made the idea of Neutral countries in Europe potentially more problematic.
Wow, that is incredible how your work on every episode is good. It is actually high level, starting from animation in the very beginning and finishing analyzing situation, fantastic!
Great summary of events that we have forgotten. This is going to be a long conflict and a lot of suffering from the aggressor and defender. Thanks again K&G for continuous updates and reminders of what is still going on, on a daily basis.

Poor M270 MLRS isn’t getting any love. Ukraine received 6 M270 from the UK, 5 from Germany, 2 from France and 2 from Italy. Those fire the same GMLRS rockets as the HIMARS, but have 12 rockets each instead of the 6 of HIMARS.

Just a reminder that both the Kherson and Kharkiv counteroffensive were mostly led by old T 64 tanks and out of date T 72 tanks of the Ukrainian armor brigade. They were also accompany by light IFVs. Now, with modern Western tanks and Western made IFVs Ukraine have more firepower at their disposal.

While I am aware that HiMARS means High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, I like to think that HIMARS now stands for High Impact Mobile Artillery Rocket System considering the effect just 4 of them had.
A superb summation of the key points, although I was surprised that you didn't include the battle at Hostomel Airport, which the Ukrainians won, preventing Russia from simply flying thousands of troops in very close to Kyiv.
I think it's part of a larger fight for Kiev, there were several equally important battles, the battle for Hostomel was the most media-relevant of them
No matter the damages suffered in this war With most of the worlds top militaries supplying and advising Ukraine? The war will end in Ukrainian victory and Ukraine will hop into NATO immediately after hostilities end Russia can only cry about it
hi this is a great video and i love the new animation style but i'm pretty sure have the city of ivano-frankivsk incorrectly labeled on your map. the city is located much closer to the romanian border and the bystrytsia river. i think the city you have labeled as ivano-frankivsk is actually khmelnytskyi by the southern buh river. it would be nice if you could fix this for your next incredible update for us. thanks, love all of your videos! :)

during the Kharkiv offensive, the Russians lost the most vehicles in the war, losing 450 AFVs, the largest loss siince Kursk 1943, and the Russians did not lose them in combat but they were abandoned since these AFVs were being repaired at Izyum, the Russian troops garrisoning Izyum ran away stealing bicycles and cars and running back to Russia leaving their tanks to Ukraine hahahaah HOW EMBARASSING RUSSIA>
While Western MANPADS and ATGMs were critical in halting the Russian advance, the vast majority of Ukrainian armored vehicle kills were done with drone-corrected artillery. I think the media focusing too much on the Javelin misrepresents which systems are the most effective and most critical to Ukraine's continued resistance (artillery, drones, EW, air defense, etc.).
It is a pity that the summary of aid to Ukraine as usual omits Poland, which itself donated 325 different tanks, while mention is made of Germany, which has been reluctant to provide any aid since the beginning of the war (I see that the famous German helmets have already been forgotten). No mention is even made of the fact that almost all this aid passes through Polish territory, for which Poland receives regular threats of bombing cities by the Russians. Recently, even a Russian Kh-55 missile fell on Polish territory, this time fortunately without harming anyone.
