Because of you I discovered the world of cozy game, and also I'm soon getting a Nintendo switch, thank you for advocating for the cozy world ♥ Keep being cozy 🌟🍂
Other fall activities I love doing: watching cozy fall and Halloween movies, making hot chocolate, going to harvest festivals/corn mazes/haunted houses.
A great option for a nonalcoholic mulled drink is mulling cranberry juice. It really gives off the same vibe as mulled wine and is great for the sober/sober curious ladies
This is the fastest I’ve ever clicked on a notification. Saw the title and was immediately so excited 😭 I need this English heatwave to end so I can fully enter the autumn mindset, but the cozy hobbies are always a good start, thank you Ken! ❤
Cozy Grove is a great cozy game for fall! I generally prefer animal crossing but the sketchy art style and ghost theming of cozy grove make it a great fit for the season.
You can also use tea bags( please be mindful of the tea bag itself, be sure it won’t burn easily ) for simmer pots if you just have some on hand that is not great for drinking anymore, or if just smells better than it tastes. My mom loves to make them with cranberry mandarin tea with cinnamon sticks and bay leaves. It’s smells like my childhood every fall and makes me dream of cider 🖤
Fall book recs 📚 Horror -The Southern Book Clubs Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix -Salems Lot by Stephen King -The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix Witches -The Spellbound Cozy Mysteries series by Annabel Chase -The Practical Magic Series by Alice Hoffman -Garden Spells by Sarah Allen Addison Other -Sheets by Brenna Thummler -The Diviners series by Libba Bray -Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell
Ooh yes I love Salem’s lot ! So much so that I read it each year haha. Great recommendations! I’ll put them in my reading list 😊. Personally I love Daphné Du Maurier books and I think they fit well in fall since they can be a bit gloomy and mysterious. My favorite is Rebecca.
Similar to farmers market/pumpkin patch, last fall I went apple picking and then used the apples to make apple cobbler. It was perfect 🤌 Also if you like spooky books, The Year of the Witching has amazing fall vibes
Fall reads recommendations: The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern Whale Bone Theatre by Joanna Quinn Also while you were talking about leaf pressing, my friend showed me that you can gather some leaves and then dip them into wax. It’s super cool! Just heat the wax in a soup can, in a little pot of water on the stove over low heat like you’re gonna dip candles. They retain their color and look awesome as earrings or additions to garlands. ❤ happy crafting this Fall and I’m with you. Coloring and puzzles are great as well as knitting/fiber crafts. I may try the felting kits :)
I have crocheted a candy corn garland, I’d like to try my hand at making a pumpkin one next. I also love knitting! I agree these are the coziest fall and winter hobbies!
Lovely video! Additional ideas for hobbies: makes jams, jellies and other preserves from fresh (or frozen) fruits etc, I have a rosehip jelly cooking on the stove at the moment and it smells amazing! Got blackberries in the freezer for more jam, and I'm hoping my neighbour will give me some apples again this year xD And baking, I made a plum cake for an event on Sunday and it went down a treat. Go forth and enjoy the cooler weather everyone :D
Wonderful! Nothing better than curling up with a cozy show, podcast, or audio book while drinking tea and crocheting! These are all such awesome suggestions and I can’t wait to try a few new ones this year! Candle making?! How have I never tried this! 🤯
It's a little more food related but I love taking my time with my morning coffee on the days I work from home. Using the French press, or if you have an espresso machine. It also makes your kitchen smell like coffee, which has always had an autumn/winter vibe for me!
Such a heartwarming and cute little cozy video, as always! Love your suggestions, and can't wait to dip my toes into felting. I would also add baking as a good fall hobby to try -- you can use some of the seasonal produce you buy at the farmers market and make delicious fall treats for your family and friends, or just enjoy for yourself :)
I want to get into coloring so bad but it actually does the exact opposite and GIVES me anxiety😅It’s so hard choosing which colors to use! Lol But I have you to thank for starting my crocheting journey! It’s become my new favorite cozy hobby 🧡
There's nothing I love more in the Fall then getting cozy and making little scrap paper collages in my journal. It's in the same category of coloring, but idk using papers from magazines, newspapers and stationery it's my favorite past-time and fall is such a great season for it!!
Reading is my favorite hobby year round, but in the fall I just CRAVE children’s books because fall is just so nostalgic! I always want to read the Anne of Green Gables books, the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary, and the Wrinkle in Time books by Madeleine L’Engle
I love this list! I’m a big crocheter and I have some tips for you if you’re interested in learning. It sounded like you wanted to start with making an amigurumi, a stuffed animal, for your first project. Amigurumi is really fun but I recommend that a beginner start with more beginner-friendly patterns until you get more comfortable with the stitches, increasing, decreasing, etc. Crocheting can be a little tricky at first but keep going. You’ll be making amigurumi in no time! It’s become my therapy and I’m so glad I made this a resolution this year!
This video is what I needed since the middle of August 🤩 I am SO ready for fall 🍁🍂 My TBR is filling with fallish books at the moment. One of them is The Ex Hex and another one is The Silent Patient.
Hi Cozy K it’s finally Friday I am so happy 😁 it’s been a very productive week I am so grateful that I got all of my work done ✅ all of my to do lists are all completed 👍 so now I can have a relaxing weekend ❤😊
I make bookmarks out of pressed leaves 🥰 I press them, put them on white cardboard, cut around so the cardboard get a leaf shape, and cover everything with contactpaper (?) (don't know the English word. The see through plastic with adhesive on one side) My oldest leaf bookmark is around 15 years old. I still use it ☺️
i also love curling up to write in the fall!! whether it’s my daily journaling or creative writing just for fun, there’s something (maybe the transitional period of the season?) that truly makes writing the perfect fall hobby
This has to be one of my favorite cozy hobby videos of yours! Especially the mini building kits… I didn’t know those existed and now I have to have one!
These ideas are lovely! May I suggest playing board games with friends? I love to do that all year round but I think its perfect for the autumn season. I remember that my friends and I made pumpkin pie and then ate it while we played Salem and Betrayal at house on the hill. So fun!
Baking is also the perfect fall hobby to get into! I cook a lot but baking is a lot more scientific... so I'm trying to get better lol. Just made a kickass sourdough loaf yesterday tho ! :) You can make loaves of bread, rolls, brownies, pies, cupcakes, creme brules - the possibilities are endless (and your house will smell amazing too lol) Also if you were into gardening this summer the fall is the perfect time to learn how to preserve your harvests! I have a dehydrator and currently am going through the process of drying all of my herbs/spicy peppers to use in the colder months. I had a surplus of tomatoes and peppers this year, so now I also have a few jars of salsa and pasta sauce waiting for me later on this year. Saurkraut, too!
That’s what we’ve been doing lately. We went overboard on the tomatoes this year so we have a boat load of salsa that just got canned💀 another reason fall is the perfect time for baking if u live in the north because it warms the house up. No one wants to warm the house up in the middle of summer lol
Along with the simmer pot one, there's a way to precook the apples for apple pie (basically pre softening them before baking them so that they really melt in your mouth without burning the crust) in which you take the apples and all the sugar/spices for the filling, put them in a pot on the stove on medium, and stir often until the apples are soft. It makes the entire house smell like apple pie. Then you just put the filling into the crust and bake the pie like normal, and it really does make the best apple pies.
Fall Book recs! (Cozy witchy Stories with the VIBES): the very secret society of irregular witches, the Hazel Wood, in the Company of witches, spells for forgetting The darker Kind: if we Were villains (for the darc academia murder mystery vibe), the housemaid (thriller&pageturner)
First of all you're a beautiful girl. My favorite autumn decoration is candles. You can burn them as much as you want. Second i love watching Hocus Pocus 1-2. I am dying to see Hocus Pocus 3. I love decorating my rooms with pumpkins. And some scary decorations. Also it's fun to wear something scary.❤❤❤❤😂😊😊😊
Loved the video and your positive energy so much. You helped me find the motivation that I needed. ❤ Couldn’t recommend gaming more as a hobby, and I’ve definitely gotta get a coloring book and some jigsaw puzzles to work on. I’m going to try to get back into baking this year. There isn’t anything better than the smell of a pie or cookies baking in the oven during the fall season for me. 🥧 You had great recommendations here for games too, btw. Totally recommend Tunic, if you’ve never played it before. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also has some nice fall-themed courses to enjoy with friends; one of my favorite fall-themed Mario Kart courses is Maple Treeway. :3
All great ideas! I love crochet, embroidery, macrame, felting, puzzles, wouldn't mind getting into reading. I'm a gamer and I'm 50! Thanks for the video and ideas. Have a great day!
I had no idea simmer pot kits were a thing! I've never tried it because buying/prepping all the different ingredients felt like too much of a hassle, but throwing a little prepackaged scent bundle into water I can do 😂 For reading, if you want some cute, lower stakes fall vibes, middle grade is a great place to look. I loved Witchlings by Claribel Ortega, The Glass Witch by Lindsay Puckett (also a RU-vid girlie), and The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend. They're also usually shorter, easier reads
Here in Brazil we have a tradicional drink similar to "mulled wine" that we call "vinho quente" (trans. Hot wine). That we boil wine with caramel, Apple, indian clove and cinnamon! Thats THE BEST cozy drink EVER!
When you mentioned making mulled wine, it made me think of hot toddies. If anyone sees this and wants to explore hot toddy making, Maker’s Mark is excellent in hot toddies because of its maple syrup notes. This is the first video of yours that I’m watching. I never thought of gaming as diving into a story and I absolutely love to read. I might think about cozy gaming!
I have been checking my notifications every day for weeks waiting for this😂 i also need another cozy day,/week video 😂 I spend many days bedridden and these cozy hobbies keep me sane.
Definitely an Autumn Enthusiast! However, I have been crocheting since I was nine and I just made a HUGE blanket. But I do want a new scarf… 😏 I love those bookcase sets, too! They are so precious!
As someone with low coordination skills who's also needle felted, be sure to get the two thumb and pointer thimbles that are made of leather/faux tough material. Fingies and a barbed needle don't mix
Yay I love your videos and recommendations ! Fall is my favorite season so it’s even more perfect 😍. My sister and I are addicted to mulled wine lol. Here in Switzerland it’s everywhere in late fall and all throughout winter. It’s sold in little cabins in town and bars. It feels incredible sipping on it while outside in the cold. I can’t wait ! It’s still abnormally hot here unfortunately. Knitting and sewing have been on my hobby to do forever. I have to try it this year 😊 ! All the recommendations were spot on.
If you’re from the far south and vacation somewhere in the north or anywhere with pretty fall colors, the leaf pressing would be a great DIY souvenir option!
i wanted to add: make your own cider. Not also does it make your kitchen smell amazing but also tastes great and takes some time so you can let it simmer and read or so
Have already crocheted 2 pumpkins. Learned on RU-vid. Also crocheted a sunflower. Going to make another pumpkin for my son. Also do like puzzles a lot. Do like tea and cocoa for this time of year. Thank for your suggestions. Very Helpful.
Cozy books- Bella Grace!! Not a novel but it’s amazing ❤️. You will not regret it! And omg thank you for this video. I watch your videos everytime without fail. We have so many similarities and it warms my heart to find out about all these cozy things! Already had an autumn date planned with friends and now have even more ideas for it 🥰
If you find crochet hard you might prefer a different yarn craft method. Crochet was the one thing I couldn't do growing up I could grasp it but I could knit (except circle needles) and do other yarn crafts no problem! 😂
I have never seen your channel or videos, and honestly was expecting it to be the same fake and redundant things that everyone else says. But as soon as I clicked on your video I smiled because you were so friendly and cheerful and pretty. And your personality made it even better. It made the "redundant hobbies" that everyone says to do seem actually fun
Thanks so much for another lovely cozy video. I had a lot of fun watching it. Because it's still way too hot I watched it while drinking a milkshake - but with lit candles of course! Here are some cozy fall reads I can recommend: The very secret society of iregular witches Shady Hollow Mystery (the whole series) The ogress and the orphans In the company of witches Can't spell treason without tea And two absolutely cozy, adorable graphic novels: Pumpkin heads + Garlic & the vampire Hope this list will inspire someone. :) I wish everyone a wonderful fall season.
Yay crochet❤ I'm hosting my first MAL (make-a-long) this September called Vestember. We're making vests till Sept 30th and I'm loving it! Now, you've got me wanting to make simmer pots and candles. Ooo so cozy!
