My mom taught me if I get caught unprepared with my “monthly joy,” to roll up a roll of toilet paper tightly and tuck it in the panty pocket. That way there was something there to help absorb until I could get to some supplies. Helped me out a time or two. 😉
I told my granddaughter the tiny pocket in her jeans is a penny pocket,so when she wears her jeans over she tells me,I need a penny Nana for my penny pocket 💕🤣
Omg, you’re so adorable ❤️ I love your enthusiasm for this ❤️ I try to show my friends things like this and they stare at me like “This is what floats your boat?!?!?” And I’m sitting there “this is important shit! Pay attention and learn!” 😍😍😍😍
Omg I actually got a pocket watch for Christmas! I love antiques so I specifically asked for one 😊. I’m so happy that I can use that tiny pocket in my jeans for it now!!! Lol
Interesting, my cheap Walmart underwear actually has the “pocket” sewn shut. Honestly it’s overall better quality than the underwear I used to buy from Victoria’s Secret
What she says is BS, does jpt make sense at all, sewing the cotton onto the main fabric would not even use extra material, they would just saw it on instead of just making a seam... It's there purely for hygienic reason, does not matter if it sewed on or other. You only get more air down there if it's not sewed on so it's actually better for you that way.
Exactly a little research actually will yield that the fabric is their for comfort and hygiene. Of you think it's sealed it's not it's actually not even their because many types of underwear like Victoria Secret is only meant for short periods of time
Paige Holloway Me too. I paused the video to go check and yes, when I pulled the little basket out, water poured out. I guess you should pull out the tiny hose next to it first and drain the water out in a small bowl first.
Funny story: my husband was doing my laundry last week and pointed out the "panty pocket" and asked if it was used for pads. I could not help but laugh and reassure him that's not where pads go...but now I know they have no purpose.
A guy friend from high school randomly came up to me one day after class and started talking to me about pad pockets in panties. I think he wanted to know if that was true or not and I was so confused 🤣 that was so long ago
Yes, tell us more! This was very unique, and I learned things that I really needed to know, like how to tell where the gas cap is on a vehicle just by looking at the arrow on the little gas icon in the dashboard.
Thank you so much! My wifey is learning so much from your lovely life hack videos and you continue to keep her motivated during her post-pardon depression period. Thx for being so awesome!!!
The panty pocket...In junior high I was under the impression it was for tucking a tampon string into so it wouldn't poke out of my underwear...😂 Funny looking back because I was wearing pants too, so why bother. Oh, the joys of youth.
I remember looking at it as a teenager and trying to figure out if my pad went in there. I never did it because I couldn't see how that would make sense, but I did think about it A LOT. 😂
@@mknothe Oh my goodness, this is so funny!! Thank God I never wore a thong!! I might have spent some time wondering what the tiny pocket was for when the thongs are so tiny anyway!! LOL
Brittany unfortunately I’m old enough to remember when pen lids first got the hole at the top it made the news here in the UK I knew a lot of these but love hearing the ones I didn’t! 😉
Someone actually swelled a pen lid in my work, a fully grown adult at that & they just made this weird whistling sound - but they could breathe until it was removed!😂🙈
I'd love more videos like this! The only one I don't think I'd use of these is the pan handle holder for spoons. The gunk on the spoon is going to slide down into the handle. But the rest were super helpful. Thanks!
I think that some of these are handy uses that developed after the product was designed... like the juice box tabs, and I think the soda bottle neck is designed to reduce the surface area of the drink touching air to keep carbonation in longer!
Anna Timm I was thinking the same! The soda can tab being used as a straw holder? U could still put a straw down in the opening of the soda can. And I agree w u regarding the carbonation in the soda bottle!
Using the tab on the soda can for your straw keeps the straw from floating up toward the top of the can and possibly falling out of the can when it is full.
Love the random trivia! So fun. I definitely vote for more of these. Especially since you already have them. 🙂 And Carter with the juice box tabs is too cute!
The juice box thing works a treat. I learned about it when my eldest was 6mo (he's 9 now and my other son is 7 and they open them this way themselves now - even if you don't hold the tabs as handles it still stops liquid squirting out when you insert the straw). Whenever I am at a gathering and give my kids a juice box I always blow some other mum's mind with how I don't spill them. They really should have a diagram on the box lol.
Right after 9/11 I flew thru Atlanta’s airport and needless to say security was tight! I forgot about that little pocket and the 4 quarters I had stuck in there! I had the undivided attention of three very large guards before I could inhale! Thought they were going to shake me by my ankles!
I knew a few of the ones you mentioned, but the cedar hangar is cool! You’d have to use a MUCH longer spoon handle to keep from making a mess on pot handle. The glass breaking headrest spikes/rods is great, Rats - ew!
I didn't know about the wooden hangers, the petrol arrow & the holes in the handles of your cooking pots!!! Cool! I will be not just thinking it's for hanging them now! Thank you xxx
I want to shop in the US again. 😭 I love your sweater. The fashion & clothes in the US are the best. I have shopped all over the world & never had the same experience as shopping over there.
Definitely do more of these! I found one out a few years ago which totally blows my mind! Have a look at the strap buckles on a backpack and you'll notice there is a whistle built into it. I believe they're only built into backpacks for adults. So imagine hiking and you get lost or injured or if someone is threatening you, you have this built-in whistle to attract attention!
Yes more of these videos! I'm pretty proud, theres only one I didn't know (about the front load washer trap door) but in my defense, I've never owned or used a front load washer in my life 😂
I think those extra little tabs on juice boxes are for pouring like if you wanna pour it into a glass or something you can cut them and pour. Cause using the hole for that would be little messy if you have tried it you would know. Those are there in milk boxes too.
I have a 12 year old and a 4 year old and I have been doing the "wings" on the juice boxes since my oldest was a toddler. I love it, they love it! I'll tell my youngest now to hold your wings!
Loved this video! How did I not know that about juice boxes! We’ve had so much squeezed out juice in the car and I have often wondering about the folds on the box and it never clicked LOL Great hack!! 😍❤️
11:24 “I don’t know what possessed me to buy Ginger ale..” My parents always bought us ginger ale when our tummies were sick/flu. After learning they actually have little to no ginger in them and not being a soda fan, I now like to take ginger capsules or drink ginger tea (but soda can still be very helpful for people.) Both are great for bloating, gas discomfort, and nausea. It’s one of the first questions I’m going to ask my doctor WHEN I GET PREGNANT- “can I take my ginger capsules?” Ginger has so many health benefits! ;)
But Ginger Ale still tastes pretty darn good when you have the flu! (Side note- my friend is from India and when he was sick his mother gave him Ginger Ale!)
I recently just found out about the ginger ale thing being a myth however for some reason it's still works for me. I don't know if it's the carbonation that helps me burp when I have an upset or if I believed in it so much it's a placebo effect but either way at least it works for me right 🤷🏻♀️😂
Lol pocket in panties “is that to store our pocket change”. In my undies & hot days I do stuff a little bundle of toilet paper for humidity or sweat down 👇🏼there 🥺
The pot hole is a game changer.. I looooove this kind of video and would love to see more. I love discovering new things and this was incredibly interesting and satisfying!! I recently learned that the colored cap at the bottom of lipstick is not just so you can see the color but it actually comes off and it’s for when you want to use a lip brush! Who knew??? Great fun video topic! Please do more!
I didn’t know about the wooden hangers, cool. Here is something I learned a few years ago. There are tabs on the ends of the boxes of foil, wax paper, parchment paper, plastic wrap that you push in and they hold the rule in place for when you rip a piece.
HOLD UP! PAUSE at 1:55. Can someone, anyone tell me how this kid is SO CUTE!! 😍 Oh my goodness what a handsome little man!!! I just had to stop to comment that, now back to our regularly scheduled program 🤓
I always assumed the extra margins of the paper were there so teachers would have room to comment on your work. Imagine having rats just eating up all of your homework all the time! 🤢
Yes do more! This was fun. I don't know a lot of these. I always thought the little pocket in jeans was for change. Now I want to go buy a pocket watch :)
Lol. I don't drive and I just educated my husband about this one a couple weeks ago when he was using his mom's car and went to fill up. He didn't know and I'm not sure he actually believed me.
The best part was seeing how excited you were about all of this. 😂😂 So funny to watch and very interesting stuff indeed! Thanks for sharing. Please do more of this videos. I wanna know the rest of the list now! 😅 😘😘😘
This was cool, I think the only one I knew were the pocket watch pocket- left in when there were pay phones as a place to stash a dime to call home, the washer door, and the soda pop top straw holder. I’d love to see more like this
Please do more of these type of video's. I honestly didn't know about the soda can and the purpose of that hole, I love that hack/ trick, as for the glass sodas and beers I've preety much always held them by the top as you showed, I didn't understand why I did it but that's how it went. Thanks so much for making this type of video 👍
7:48 am I the only one that’s dark and thought to myself well this is a helpful hint if I ever get kidnapped and need to beat someone to get away?? Or if I need a self defense weapon in an emergency 😂
Fun fact if anyone wants to know that the word news as in let's watch the news stand for notable events weather and sports. Love these fun videos by the way.
6:45 It’s definitely not designed for this, maybe on some pots but not this one. I can already imagine tons of tomato sauce running down the spoon and getting on the handle and counter. ^^ Even for noodles I don‘t want boiling water to run everywhere. It just became one of those viral internet ‚hacks‘ because it works decent on some pans but most if not all manufacturers don‘t have it in mind and you can clearly see that. 9:00 Also, so clearly not designed for this. It’s just they way all carton liquid boxes are made. ^^
Thank you for answering so many questions. I am always coming up with hacks, I thought the pocket on panniers was for pannie liners for those days it just won't stay in place.
