Got some stuff right, other stuff wasnt well elaborated on. Wolverines powers didnt manifest until about 10-13. about the age boys go through puberty. He was able to grow to maturity soon after, and his appearance was more or less the same. Wolverine is NOT immortal. He does age. But it slowed over time due to the effects his healing factor had on his physiology. Before his powers manifested logan was actually a sickly child. He was always made to stay inside and his only playmate was his half brother dog logan. This was changed to sabertooth in the wolverine origins film. But before we knew it was dog, it was strongly implied sabertooth WAS his half brother. Considering the similarities between Dog logan and victor creed. The reason for this is the kind of mutation wolverine and sabertooth has. They come from a race of feline/canine hybrid like hominids, meaning they had characteristics of both. This lupine gene pool would include other feral, and wolf or cat like mutants. Wolverine, has the X gene, but his mutation, is differnt in nature. Being that it turns a human more animalistic, almost like they were spliced with a lion or a panther. Logans mother was over protective, but when his power manifested she feared him, and he accidently killed her, in a blind berserk rage. Wolverine is 5'3, so technically he stopped growing once he entered his preteen years. This is why he is so small in stature, but has all the characteristics of a man in his late 30s. This was apart of his mutation, very much like when night crawler, and other mutants powers manifested. Once they reach a certain age, the X gene activates and their physical appearance adapts to their mutation and this can occur in a number of differnt ways. Colosus, was a preteen when he grew to nearly 7 foot tall, and developed staggering muscle mass. same with toad, beast and daken. Daken actually explains how wolverine aged. When daken was born, it was the 1900s, he was adopted by a japanese family, and grew to develop his mutant powers, and while physically he grew to his peak in a short period, he still had the body of a teenager up until he joined weapon X. The same occured for wolverine, and X23. They age slower. they are NOT immortal. Also wolverine knows almost every kind of martial art, which he incorporates into his fighting style with claws. Including martial arts with the ninja sai, acrobatics, and many differnt forms of martial arts. In the comics wolverines fighting style has to be the coolest. Because he is such an effective fighter, that he can beat even the most gifted super heroes in combat. In fact, the concept of weapon X in the weapons plus program, was a designated anti super hero weapon. With super humans growing in number, since cap, they wanted a weapon that could kill any super hero and penetrate their defences Hence why wolverines bones was laced with adamatium and not vibranium or titanium. They have special properties that can penetrate even the most powerful super hman defenses. In fact, wolverine claws can pierce the skin of the hulk AND thor, because he IS an anti super hero, super hero.
@@Psy8ern3t1k not was replaced after he spent a period without the adamantium while utilizing bone claws Logan began to grow more feral as apparently the experience of getting your skeleton ripped out can seriously test a person. But like everything in marvel that which dies or goes away always comes back when a clever enough writer can figure out a good excuse and storyline. Too bad none of the movies seem to utilize these excellent writers because the storylines in most of the movies suck horrendously. Make mine somebody else because Disney ruined Marvel ☹️
Wolverine is like the superman of mutants only less powerful with no flying laser stuff but with skillful ablities supersoldier Level and useful animalistic powers
I've been reading X-men and Wolverine comics on/off from the late 80's. His healing factor is truly remarkable but it has now grown to the point of insanity. Case in point: he used to take hours to recover from a gunshot and days from major combat such as having a sword thrust through him. Now, he can regrow his entire body when it was burned to his skeleton from the Civil Wars books. I remember that he was able to regrow his body only when a certain powerful crystal was involved or else he would have died.
There’s an actual in-universe reason for this. When Mags removed his adamantium in the 90’s, his healing factor went through a second mutation of sorts and became much more powerful as adamantium wasn’t hindering his healing factor.
You still have forgot a few Powers. like his Heat Claws. yes he can overheat his claws and make them extreemly hot. 18:54 and this is still one of the coolest stand offs in Movie history. His flesh ripped away and instantly healing looks absolute amazin to this day.
Movies have not yet showed his berserker rage, his face literally changes(eyes and all) and he will attack everything, like a wild rabid, mindless animal. Hopefully, they show it in the DP3 movie. Only that Xmen Japanese anime series, depicted Logans Berserker mode...minus the comic books of course.
There's like 2 heroes who can speak more languages than any other character in both Marvel & DC & that's Supergirl & even Superman, Supergirl learned all of earth's languages in 1 month. Note people 1 month I would kill to have that kind of ability I could get any job I wanted because they pay big money for people to speak multiple languages for their company.
What about cypher? His mutant ability is literally to speak and understand every language. There also another mutant that could speak all or almost all languages, she worked for S.w.o r.d until she died recently
@@tmorri603imagine being so confused that you blend fiction and reality with wishful thinking rather than working on developing the actual skills you desire...
Forgotten mention is that Wolverine’s metal skeleton is radioactive. His healing factor is constantly healing the radioactive. Meaning he should be able to heal to unbelievable speeds were his healing factor not being use to heal radioactive damage. Radioactivity eventually ends meaning Logan should have the strongest healing factor once he stops combating radiation.
Sabertooth has a berserker rage as well. He just doesn't care who gets hurt when it happens. Wolverine can speak so many languages is a telepath can download it into your mind. He learned some on his own but some has been downloaded.
Berserker rage is not a super power all higher primates/mammals have berserker rages. The difference is that his powers negate the negative effects of a berserker rage
He actually has a photographic memory and reflexes they don't talk about that either he can feel vibration easier than other people just like Daredevil
Its the adamantium that makes wolverine stronger bht before that, sabertooth was quite abit stronger. Wolverine was more agile but sabertooth had the raw power and strength.
There is an alternate version of Wolverine who’s in love with Hercules that had his bones coated in adamantine the real golden metal of the gods adamantium was named after which does keep this version safe from telepathic attacks. So if there’s that distinction between the two I doubt regular adamantium is responsible for telepathic resistance It’s James Howlett from Earth-12025 btw
I like the Wolverine wears his tin foil hat under the skin theory. It could be that it’s just an initial layer of protection and others developed and/or were installed over time.
James Howlet Is supposed to be 155 years old, if I'd been living in this world for that long without the ability to get drunk now and again, I'd be pretty livid too!
Anybody irl can go into a berserker rage, they call it blacking out. It might not include fictional mutant powers but can have just as deadly results and consequences.
I believe that the "slow aging" isn't actually a "power" persay, it's just his healing ability keeping his body as close to it's prime as possible. Hence him aging normally as a child but sticking around late 20s in appearance once there (appears older in movies because Hugh does actually age).
It is because of all these abilities, and knowledge, I am still waiting for a true Wolverine. I know he can’t be completely BA, because of others needing to shine too.
Wolverine regularly got his mind wiped during the his stint in the weapon X program. He doesn't block out his own memory he's usually trying to remember his past or forget the horrible things he's done
Hugh Jackman was so influential to me as Wolverine . I actually have/had a habit of sniffing like he did in the movies 😂. I even perked my ears up like him to hear better lmao. The crazy part is I actually got A1 hearing and smell. And I hate it 😂. I remember scents well, whether it’s fragrances or body odor. So if I smell it in public, I’ll think you’re around me lmao. I used to could heal fast but I’m at my old man Logan phase (28). Me and my cousin would always joke about being mutants when we’d get hurt and bounce back
I heard at one point Magneto ripped the metal out of Wolverine and without that constant metal poisoning his powers mutated him further any post on that?
The slow aging has nothing to do with growing uptown the moment the body starts decaying, for most of us it starts after our 30s, for Logan with the healing factor could be prolonged up to his 40s...
He is also supposed to have Canine like teeth, but I imagine that's one of those things that both looks and sounds a lot better illustrated than it would be in the live action movies, as amusing as it would have been to see BTS footage of Hugh Jackman struggling to speak with dentures or having a CGI mouth it would have been a bit of a disappointment to look at on the screen back then.
To have the range telepathic ability to the enemy's That a , sence of dread and fear B , overlapping a false sense of security /reality, that they see overlapping ( d!@ th )multitable times. Or it can change due to the circumstances.
I think if he develops a newer power it be from all of his lesser abilities that seems little to do with much other than story telling. If you combine that lie detector senses with other higher sense of the smell, touch, hearing, sight, and sound. Training him self i think he should be developing a forsight of combat more so on the lines of beyond what physic abilities could do. Sure someone could read a combatant plans. However going beyond that with all senses in a higher state of alertness. One could foresee many provable factors and possibilities. I mean a century or so of combat experience then many years of fighting mutants. It be natural instincts for him to go past all others in hand to hand and tactic.
That's why in the 1st X-Men the scene in the fighting cage didn't make sense because his body is wrapped in the metal his claws are made of he wouldn't have felt a single blow to the head
"The Wolverine" movie was not that bad, and switching from Comics to movies, always needs to change some things for people that weren't original fans, In order to get "not interested" interested or just get newer fans to get in it🤔
shure his psychic ressistance come from expereince but also shield had put barriers in his mind and so did exavier and a big important part why psychics have a hard time with wolvrine mind is the animal inside psychics are actuly sort of afraid if it because if they encounter it it can overwhelm them because if its cheer rge and willpower, its like trying to enter room with a very big berserk ragefull vicking in it,ya goodluck with that. also in his beserk rage psychic powrs are useless because his mind goes blank or dark the lights go out and puur anger takes over
Dang I hate these channels that lecture you how liking and subscribing costs you "literally nothing" while being such an immense benefit to the creator in comparison. That's bullshit, it costs me a bunch of time cleaning up my recommendations as a consequence of every channel I've ever subbed to out of the goodness of my heart not because I liked the channel. It messes up the recommendations algorithm rendering it useless. That's why I super rarely like videos and I'm only subbed to 3 channels that all rarely put out videos.
I’m sooo sick of these RU-vid intros. We know what we’re here for, we read the title. We don’t need the fluff and the repetitive exposition. Get to the point.
Some of these aren't powers but are more like skills. And 17:25...Wolverine towering over Storm like that is not accurate. Wolverine is supposed to be a runt, but it's like modern day comics and depictions in other media try to ignore that.
In the original introduction in The Incredible Huld, he was listed at 5'6". But, upon his redesign for Giant Size X-Men, he was put at 5'3" by accident, as well as the redesign of his cowl. And, the rest was history.
Did they ever explain how they shaped his claws? I know they are bone claws but how did they get them razor sharp while inside his body? I’ve always been curious about that.
In the comics its differnt than in the movies. In the movies, they used the heated adamantium to mold to his skeletons and they just came out as perfectly forged claws. But in the comics, the shape of his bone claws is the same as his adamantium claws. So they functioned the sameeven without the adamantium. Daken has the same powers as his father, but no adamantium. But his claws function the same, and when they are shown, they look like tough bone blades. This is why his claws in the comics look forged. Because his bone claws look forged. And in fact, the bonding process was differnt in the comics. In that when he was given the procedure, it would create tons of adamantium spikes that penetrated his body. The spikes naturally formed perfectly sharp pointed and edged blades the cut through logans entire body. But after the process cooled, the spikes would dissapate and come off, then his body would heal over the nubs. Every spike you see coming out of his body, were perfectly shaped and forged looking bladed weapons. So the reason wolvie has perfect claws, is because of perfect bone claws, and its a natural form of adamantium when it bonds to sharper harder edges. Its not like other metals that needs to be forged and bent and molded to come out fully formed. It just naturally looks that way. And wolverine would find out his bone claws were the same until magneto ripped the adamantium from wolverines body.
You have conveniently left out Wolverines uncanny ability to give people grievous wounds, run them through and even dismember them (in movies) without causing them to BLEED 🩸 😅 Give every Wolverine and X-Men movie realistic blood effects and they'd be a million times better, and believable. The LOGAN film stands alone.
I wish they would have him fight using CQC because of his martial arts background. When his Berserker Rage triggers that’s when he can basically go nuts and swing for the fences.
That's how it was in the early stages of Claremont run and into Jim Lee's run. It wasn't until the movies that they portrayed him as a brawler that instead of using his array of martial art skills set and other forms of fighting.
Wolverine is a extraordinary character and I'm always amazed at what Abilities he have but that depends on the writers but I do have two questions....Logan and Dead pool have extra healing abilities but first question if they both had a tooth knocked out who's tooth would come back first?and how long would it take to regenerate or what ever it is that it does?
Deadpool's healing factor is stronger/better in Canon. Also, wolverine's healing factor is always limited by two things, the adamantium poisoning that his body is always working against 24/7, and his state of mind. The more he leans into his animosity and detaches from his humanity, the stronger his healing factor gets.
@@OscarASevilla ooooh I see so I guess when wolvie first got his metal his healing factor was at his peak but as the yrs.went on it slowing broke down.
One thing most people overlook is that "aging" starts after your body reachs maturity (around 30 years). So, biologically, it's accurate when stories show people keeping their 30ish looks and saying they don't age
They also never explore his array of fighting styles, his understanding of languages, his extension of his senses, and his knowledge for being nearly two centuries old.
Logan was born with powers, his healing factor was ehy he was a sickly kid, it reacted to everything at max levels for his age and that lead him to be also full of flem in a cold environment. It also tired him out and he was feed at 17th century diet. It took his childhood to train his system and strengthen it. The more you use a power the stronger it gets.
Berserker rage is not a super power. The reason why wolverine was able to age through his younger years is because mutants manifest their powers during their teenage years and sometimes even later than that.
I remember way back they used to say it was dangerous for telepaths to look too deep into his mind because his berserker side would be waiting and would freak them out, pre 2000's
"You got a firm little tush there... Don't you normally do this move with Colossus?" "The first rule about the Fastball special is you don't talk Bout the fastball special." ( an exchange between She-Hulk and Wolverine)
He doesn’t communicate with animals, it’s more accurate to say that he and animals have an understanding of one another. They sense that he is a predator, and definitely isn’t afraid.
wolverine getting Severe ptsd and being traumatized to the point where he retains his own memories like a normal human .."Its one of his hidden powers" no.... lol its not, its an obvious Mental illness
