On my old island (i reset recently), my favorite small area was actually the campsite, and i’m going to incorporate it again in my new island. It was only a few squares away from resident services and a cliff, and i really liked it. I was able to make it look really cozy, and it’s still one of my favorite areas i did back then. :-) Thanks to all the amazing players and creators for giving me more amazing ideas for my own island!!💛
I used hyacinth flowers for my Flora’s area. But after seeing the mums being used. I have to change it, they’re so much more her!! I already have the flamingos, because, flamingos always do better in a group. They don’t do well alone, so I had to have a flamboyance of flamingos for her to hang out with. She’s one of my top 3 fave villagers. I toyed with downloading a path similar to the one this player used. But I already have two paths. I need to keep some open spaces for my flower and blanket addition. The whole space is so creative and beautiful. I’ve never seen the grass standees used so well before. Love it!!
I am fairly new to animal crossing and don’t really have that much. Also I wanna do this stuff but my houses are in the way plus I don’t have a lot of furniture recipes. But I still wanna make the most of my island with what I have and this video gives me a few ideas to go off of so thank you.
I think its completely fine to decorate ur island however u want, but some of these just look very cluttered and dont have much of a cohesive theme. Its not my island so if u like these then by all means do them, but personally i struggle finding inspiration for my island when so many examples of cute space fillers r just packed to the brim with random furniture. The ac fanbase is full of so much creativity but it seems like u get the most praise by cluttering ur island. Again, not my island so if u like it then go for it. I just get kind of annoyed trying to find ideas that arent just clutter
I always get so inspired to decorate/terraform my island after watching your videos. But then when I load up my to actually do it, I’m immediately overwhelmed by how much I have to do and turn it off without doing anything 🙃😂
Just start! Don’t tell yourself that you have to terraform a huge area in one sitting, and make it something Pinterest would be proud of. That’s just not realistic! Even if you want to change the area later, you’ll have learned something from whatever you do do 😊
@@liamsmyth2917 Exactly! You don't have to do the whole thing at once. I know it can seem like the best way because that's what they do in the speedbuild videos, but it isn't actually necessary to make an area look good. The only areas I ever did in one sitting were gardens or forest areas that were like 90% plants.
Tip, if you have a theme look on Pinterest like cottagers and people upload their pics and start recreating it to a degree, then you end up going with the flow of how it suits your island. Getting inspired first is easiest
I find doing little sections at a time is great. Also I'm diagnosed ADHD and after having to focus on tasks all day I just let my self get as distracted as I want. It's therapeutic and I think that's what this game should be, relaxing! There's no pressure 💗
@@liamsmyth2917 ur right!! Bc then i said I give up that’s it! (bangs on the table) but then I saw your comment I felt inspired after one week I done it I did it!!!!!!!!
I love all these ideas so much!! I'm definetly going to be using some on my island 💕 the butterfly painting set is so sweet and I love the little flower stall and the rocking chair picnic 🥰🌱
Hi Lex (: really been loving your content lately as I have rediscovered my love for animal crossing so I decided to become a member (: thank you so much for your content
I love your videos. I really try to pull inspiration from them. Do you have any advice for beginning because every time I start to work on my island I feel bad because they don’t look anything like these
Thank you for the great content inspiring us with clever ideas. Hi Peaches! My favorite book is Gone with the Wind. The tone and detail in the writing wisks you away with strong imagery. I can read it again and again.
I wish there were more sci-fi island tours and ideas because there’s just so many cottage/forest core ideas but there’s not enough for the ‘rare’ themes
any advice on transitioning from just living on you island and collecting bells to actually beginning making the space yours? I've been playing for months now and I just don't know where to start with moving buildings, terraforming, decorating, designing, etc.
Find an area that you have an idea for. Any area. Many think that the best place to start is the entrance, but I find that personally to be very overwhelming and impossible to decide what to do with. Personally, I knew I wanted a cliff beside my resident services, so I start small and built that, as well as some waterfalls. Naturally, this waterfalls had to run into a river, so I built that next, and then found that a bridge would look nice beside the plaza to cross that river I had just made. All of a sudden, I knew what I wanted to do with my entrance, because I had to make it lead toward that bridge I had made earlier. The point is, starting with the smallest area and building up can lead to everything coming together without you even realising it :)
I'd say figure out if you want to keep your original layout (leave the building where they are and work around them) or work around decoration. If you work around decorating move all shops and homes to the beaches so you can easily terraform and decorate. Check out size guides for homes and shops and use a custom design on the floor to mark out where everything goes inc inclines and bridges
