There’s a lot of heavy stuff out in the ocean. For example, think of the giant oil rigs pumping that liquid gold day in and day out, and all of the thousands of moving parts that make them tick. But how do they get out there? And what happens when one of them breaks down or needs a new part? Those can be pretty big and so it takes a special kind of vessel to come to their rescue: crane ships. The crane ships of the world tend to be pretty large in order to accommodate their cargo, but there are some ships so big that your jaw will drop.
