We can also expect to see magneto return in the rumoured x mansion. And lego is too afraid of deadpool to even include him in his own set showcased in the lego marvel visual dictionary likely due to the movie being so graphic. I think this was intentional and we were baited into commenting, considering it was at the start of the video too.
@Gary-Diaz sure but remember it was in a $500 aud set and the figures were comic based and haven't had screentime in awhile. I never said lego was afraid of deadpool because he is too violent. It's his "adult humour" that big companies like lego try to avoid. If I'm wrong, please take a look at the lego marvel visual dictionary. You will find blade and punisher in the daily bugle. You won't see or hear lego even utter the word deadpool in his showdown set. The only evidence I could find that doesn't support this is the 2 SDCC deadpool minifigures that came out after the first movie If I remember correctly. However I'm not too sure how involved lego got with those back when it was a thing and since they were so limited its unlikely kids got anywhere near them. No one is wishing I'm wrong more than me, I'd love deadpool to return to lego.
I actually have a Gold Brick (I had a relative who working for Lego back then) It was given to my parents for Me on the day I was Born. I still visit it from time to time in my box in the Bank with afew other things now and then.
The fact there’s just 3 random minifigures chilling on Jupiter is one of the craziest things I think I’ve ever heard. I can’t help but think of an alien picking them up and studying them
@@danielbaker6149What's more crazy is that you think we humans are this dumb that you don't believe we've actually sent humans to space, it's like you don't have faith in humanity at all lol. Go buy a telescope and look up at the sky at night or stick your phone to a balloon and let it fly up till it eventually pops just to convince you space exists.
I remember the gold plated c3po in the 30th anniversary boxes I used to work in a Toys R Us in 🇨🇦 and a lady came to me and asked me in which box the C3Po was included she was only interested in the c3po hoping to find it. When I had told her it was randomly in one of the boxes she wasn’t to happy
Wait so I have had 3 completely unique figures these past 10 years and never knew? I love Deadpool and the X Men but this just makes them even better now!
I still have my Magic Shop set, was one of my faves as a kid. Also that Canyon baseboard has existed in other sets, well at least 1, it was recoloured as part of the double baseboard Tribal Island set from the priates theme.
I have the Chopper Showdown set, but didn't care for it much as a kid, as I never knew who the X-Men were. I still have it...but in several pieces. I really need to put it back together one of these days.
I actually have one of these 2x4 gold pieces, it was given to me as a gift many years ago when I was a lot younger. It’s a really scary thing to own because it’s worth so much but I ended up using it inside of a black Lego Lowrider I made. The piece is in there to give it a little bit of weight. I know that might be a bit baffling to some people but I really have no use in displaying it nor do I have anywhere to do that. I no longer have the little box it was given to me in and in general I just don’t like having clutter, incorporating it into a Lego build makes it a lot more special to me and gives it an actual purpose in my life instead of being a paperweight
Oh never leave comments but I feel like it needs to be said that the raised “terrain” base plate actually did come out again later in the late 90s early 2000s with one of their extreme sets. It came with a bridge too.
Have a few of these actually: 2 of the Cafe Corners still in boxes, 6-7 monorail sets with boxes, and 2 of those Dark Forest baseplates (only one set though) - I don’t think any of them are SUPER rare to be honest…if you want to think of actual very rare stuff, start looking into odd value packs and other weird things like that…for example, it took me 5 years to find the DACTA space set 9355 for example…
My dad gifted me the Magic Shop lego set when I was a kid, still have it just without the box, but I've got the instructions in a bag somewhere for it :')
Got the Magic shop from my younger brother, unfortunately he no longer have a box or instructions for it. As kids we played a lot with our Lego and preserving instructions and boxes weren't high on our priority list. Had the complete Monorail in my hands last year, but just didn't have $600 bargain for it at the time.
Wow, I have the Wolverine Chopper set and possibly even the instructions... I just never think of looking into any value, I am now sharing my legos from Late 70's on with my daughter. We are pulling out the pieces to build the original Galaxy Explorer I built sd s kid. Yellow castle will be next... so wonderful that she is into it ... generational hobbies edit: the magic shop set too. I just used the Magic Scroll piece from it to help kit out a build of my daughters... maybe there are good things to being old. Thanks for being informative - much appreciated.
I have the Magic Shop. It’s been assembled since I bought it new in 1993. The shop itself is in my reserve collection but the minifigure, Majisto the Wizard, is in my display collection and has been for nearly 31 years. It should be noted that the sets’ prices mentioned in this video are for new in sealed box condition. So my Magic Shop is not worth much.
I have the magic shop, inherited it from my cousin with a bunch of really cool older Lego when I was a kid. Probably still in some box in the basement of my grandmas place.
My brother had the helicopter set back then and we still have some piece of the figures like wolverines torso and legs magnetos torso and legs and Deadpool’s torso
I can gladly say that I have the monorail set (nr 12) on your list. Well, together with my brother to be exact. We bouth it together many many years ago. And this set is still complete, with box and all. Because my vrother and I knew it was special, we would never mix it with our normal lego. We would play with it, using other lego ofcourse. But once we had enough, it would go back in its original box
As a big lego Star wars fan I NEED that Christmas X-Wing for my collection it'll only set me back $1500+ 😅 worth it tbh it's rare af and will definitely be a great investment unless I build it😂
I have the xmen deadpools helicopter set. I was young when it came out, so... it's been opened. But im pretty confident i still have all the pieces. I definetely still have the figs though, i have them on display. And NO they are NOT for sale!l, so don't even ask!
The rarest thing I guess is the magic chest. Basically a lego collaboration with milky way (aka three mushketers) that was exclusive for... Russia! Can you even imagine this? And it's not really interesting, just a box with a candy and a bunch of lego bricks.
2:53 - that is no longer the most expensive lego item... On my channel you can find video about Solid Gold C-3PO Prototype which we have in Bricks&Figs museum in Cracow, Poland 😁
Magneto also came in the 2014 X-Jet,the Mighty Micros Wolverine vs Magneto, and the 2024 X-Jet set. Deadpool is exclusive as a character to that set. I'm calling BS on this whole thing.
I have the Deadpool helicopter set. It’s been broken ever since I got it. I’m missing pieces, Deadpool’s paint is scratched a whole bunch and part of his head is broken off. Wolverine has some chipped paint. The helicopter has been destroyed probable like a week after it was built. And magnetos cape is gone forever. 😒😅
i had claimed the super heroes magneto lego set after my brothers let me have it at the age of 4, now when I find out its rare, my wolverine's parts are into other minifigures, I lost deadpool 4 times, and my magneto has been missing for 7 years.
Hah, I have the Magic Shop in my Big Fuckin' Bin, great little set. There's a handful of others I looked at when they were new and said "Eh" to, like the Cafe Corner, and I'm kicking myself now. I've been collecting Lego since, well, the 90's obviously, and you just never know what's going to be valuable versus what set will sell a billion copies and you'd be lucky to resell for MSRP later (I've never sold a set, I acquire and hold on tight.)
