Newfound respect for this guy. I wish they were always this honest but while in Montreal. So refreshing.

Great interview. This is the first time I listen to an interview with Max. Pach is cool. Hope he does well with the Canes.

He's one of the top 10 goalscorers year after year and never got the recognition while he was in MTL. But look back at those teams and often he was the only star forward on the team which makes it even more impressive.

Never missed Max. To me he was just done in MTL. But watching this, thinking about how it could be with him in the lineup right now, i kinda wish he was still here. He’d fit right in, and would be great with and for the younger guys

Great to see max comfortable with his time in hockey just needs the Stanley cup, thanks again Chris and Tim, mark always has the toughest questions

Great interview knuckles and Tim. Max was definitely not shown media wise as the person we see in this interview . Great humble cares about others. As well Great Outlook and perspectives on life and the game . Enjoyed you with the habs .Wish you nothing but the best in canes red and white. Go get that cup my friend you need It!

Looking back at his time in Montreal, the team had no star except for Price...and he still scored 30+ goals many times. Couldn't agree more about Markov, he still hasn't been replaced...should have played his 1000 games with the Habs..

Great interview. Then again, I was sad to hear that Max will be out 6 months with a torn achilles. We could tell he was looking forward to make a difference with the Canes. Injuries are a pain sometimes…

Love that Knucks lets the guest speak, it's a lost art on most podcasts these days.

We as fans need to remember that when players has a bad game, a bad week, a bad month, a bad year, etc, Thousands of people bashing a player isn't gunna make that player want to stay, or other players want to come to Montreal. We are passionate fans, but it can easily turn toxic

I like Max. Good man. Where is he though? Is that framed Hammurabi's Code in cuneiform behind Max?

What is the point of having Tim on these? Is Knuckles throwing him a bone because he feels bad for him? All he does is agree on points with the same “Yeah, no, umm, thanks for sharing.” Does he prepare for these? I realize this is Chris’ podcast so Tim doesn’t have the same expectations but this is getting worse and worse. If he knows the guest we get awkward inside jokes. If he doesn’t, we get awkward agreements to everything they say followed by a comment that has nothing to do with it. He seems like a perfectly nice guy, but podcasts are not his thing.

Chara didnt throw your head into the glass. I cant believe you are still whining about that hit. It was an unfortunate hockey play that happened in a dangerous part of that rink. You put yourself in that postion.

Didn't know how articulate and classy Max is, underappreciated him when he was our captain. Love the podcast!

I loved Max in Montreal. It was hard to watch him go but I hope he keeps things up. Great guy and at least from the outside he came off like a great Captain. What a steal for Carolina.

Andrei Markov is one of the best defenseman ever to play in the NHL.

I liked Patches I hated when he was made captain. Not because of how he played. But how the media couldn't wait to rip him apart. Makes me laugh at the fans that want Dubois so bad in Montreal. If PLD ran crying from Torts. The french media will make his life miserable as soon as he struggles.

What a great interview. Max was very underrated when he played for us. Wish him luck in Carolina.

Agree. Pacioretty was expected to be more physical...Montreal fans wanted him to bump and grind when he wasn't scoring...fans were impatient with him...

Great person, I ran into him at a Marlee vs Bull Dogs game in Toronto. He was watching the game from the stands and no one even knew who he was. I walked up to him with my 6yr old son during the game and shook his hand wished him the best and told him I hoped to see him up with the big club. Happy for him, like I said a great person, wished we could have won a cup with him.

Thank you guys for this podcast Chris and Tim. Just want to say thank you Max for having played the majority of your career with us. Your a big part of the organisation's history. We kind of miss you here. Wish you the 2023 cup with the Canes. It's so much something possible. Wish you the best of luck sir.

It's a little sad seeing how excited Max is to be going to Carolina ... he ends up playing 3 games there ... then off to Washington ...

Max has some interesting thoughts on Michel Therrien, whom I always thought inhibited forwards. But obviously Max would know better than I, and the results certainly were there.

Unfortunate how badly Max was treated regarding his contract (Bergy). But to what extent was Bergy tied up with intern policies about contracts and salaries... I wish I knew. Most of the big mistakes in this team are related to negociations of contracts: either too much or too low. We lost great players in the last decade coz of the contract negociations (Radulov, Markov, Romanov, Danault and so many others). PS: I will never forget his injury against the glass on the side of the rink.

lucky to have had Yannick Lehoux and David Desharnais as playmaker on his line , sad Yannick never had a proper shot at the main club

As a Habs fan i had a love/hate relationship when it came to Max, but i respected his ability nonetheless.

Loved him as a player hated to see him go. Great articulate loyal guy I wish him nothing but the best of luck in his career
