With your video playing in the background I decluttered and organized the front closet. Got rid of 5 winter coats, a purse and reorganized shoes and. Lots. Winter scarves and mitts and hats all in one place ready for November.

I keep my perfumes in the fridge as I live in Australia (hot climate) and I only have 2 at a time. Like a day/work one and a night time/winter one. I decluttered years ago from 20 different ones including sample sizes. I keep my special things in a safe and try and wear them when I feel like not just for special occasions😀

Ooh, saw you new blazer from the Swedish charity shop on instagram. One of my favorite consignment shops closing. Saturday had a full up bag sale. For $10 I got an evening gown, 3 skirts, 2 blouses, a cashmere sweater dress, and like new black Italian leather pants for winter. Almost like a swap😁
Sure wish my girlfriends were up to more than one or 2 clothes swaps a year, but that's even a challenge for them😉. I always suggest a bag in the closet or basement for periodic decluttered items, but most wait until I set a date, many procrastinators up to last minute!! Still like shopping for free and so do they. We always have a great time and they always tell me I treat them so special with the goodies I prepare for them. One time I made up little goodie bags with some decluttered pamper items and they were so excited. Face masks candles and foot soaking salts. We're not in the World Cup, so all is as normal in the Netherlands xDD Going to do some things using my timer today. I'm working on being more consistent (I came to realize that being an adult also means making yourself do thing you don't want to do, even if you're tired/stressed/etc.), so hopefully master that consistency soon!

Diane, I so appreciate you! My family and I went through hurricane Harvey last year. Our house was gutted, and what was salvaged was thrown in boxes and sent to storage. We are now moved back into our home again. However the boxes of everything and trying to make sense of what we have and don't have and trying to organize is a bit overwhelming. My three piles/boxes in sorting is keep, goodwill and give away. I thought when I got to this point things would get in order within the house quite quickly. NO! That is not the case, I feel very overwhelmed, and a bit down with it all and really struggling at this point. SO, your videos are what I am looking forward to, you have been there to encourage me and you don't even know me. Thank you for being willing to put yourself out there and taking your time to do what you do! I am praying that God helps me pick my spirits up and I pray God blesses you!
James N Brenda Remember what the Flylady says: whatever you accomplish, no matter how little you think it is, blesses your home. That helps get me through some of those overwhelming times. I can think, this is all I can do, just this one thing, but that's a blessing for my house. I try not to let other people pressure me, either, because that sure doesn't help that feeling of overwhelm. Sometimes it's like a panic attack, so I just have to shut my mind to outside pressure and think about "just one thing" at a time.
E Dennis, thank you very much for your comment! You are so very right. I am the one that pushes my buttons. I know what I used to be able to accomplish and I am not at that age anymore. Between people like you and Ms Diane I will adapt to my new norm and survive this journey! God bless you!!
