Wonderful transitional pieces! I had to laugh because I AM one of those lucky people. I thrift regularly and stumbled upon an incredibly beautiful, single breasted black leather trench coat last year. I got it for under $20!!! I got it late in the season so actually hope to wear it more this fall. It doesn't have belt loops but I got a soft leather belt for it last week. Also thrifted, for under $5. How nice of your Mum to save that coat all these years. It's gorgeous; you wear it well and its true that some pieces come around again and again.
Your mums leather trench, just beautiful. Really looks great on you Adeline. I have the same issue with the thicker soled boots, being petite, though I think you have chosen wisely, they look great on you. All your knits are gorgeous too. Another excellent video 😊
Shoes make all the difference to height (or the illusion of height, shall I say) as a shortie! Thank you always for your lovely supportive comments xxx
I have the same problem with buying tall boots so i feel you! Im not sure if you can get them in the UK, but in Canada there is a brand called Poppy Barley which actually make custom boots for a somewhat reasonable price (given they are custom).
I’m not sure about putting thick innersoles in ballet flats, unless the shoes are on the roomy side - and then they would be too big normally! I do tend to buy my boots either half a size or a full size up, so there’s room for socks, and I often use furry innersoles in those. By the way, I think those ankle boots look great on you, and I love to add a bit of height with thicker soles.
I made sure that I can take out the soles of the ballet flats to put the furry soles in so there is room, and then I will put the normal soles back when it is warmer 😉 I do think that I am going to keep the boots! x
True, but still warmer than with no insoles! Thankfully it's still quite mild here in London. I think we still have a few weeks of ballet flat wearing weather yet x
I just found your channel. Love your looks and styling ideas. You should keep the flat ankle boots. I have a pair that is my go-to-boot when I want to be really comfy. How tall are you? I am a petite as well measuring 5'1.
