reading the comments I´m surprised that THAT many people don´t know digimon world 3(what´s by far the best digimon game imo)... so they compare this with persona and pokemon colosseum...

Guys the reason there isn't voice acting is.because its an demo and not only that but incomplete jeez. And if your looking for a world 1 there's re digitized as well as next order

+mikeylambda1322 Shin megami tensei with digimon. The core series has the gameplay, persona sub-title just adds the social interactions, and lightly more anime-y feeling. The core series is so goddamn depressignly dark, anime fans probably will never embrace it.
+Puddimans I need to give the core SMT another shot. I didn't like SMTIV but I hear its not exactly one of the better entries in the series. But yes, its basically SMT/Persona with Digimon.

Just remember, Hero dies = game over, and IMO that was allways such BS, as some demons late game start one shotting with rather terrible consistency. But luckily magic is OP as **** in older SMT games. Bottomline, Give them a go, they are good fun once you get thru the "entry barrier"
First of all: I love this! Second of all: I really wish they would make Digimon world 5! I played through it again with my friend (as a 20 year old) and it was so much fun :p
Never got into Digimon, but I'm mostly getting the game because the soundtrack was made by Masafumi Takada. I've always wanted a turn based RPG with his music in it.
Pokemon is Still Strong with Pokemon Z, Pokemon Go, and the anime is still running Digimon is making a strong comeback with Digimon Cyber Sleuth and Digimon World Next Order, also DIGIMON ADVENTURE TRI!!! YuGiOh! is also doing well with the new anime, card game, also heard a new movie is coming with the old cast. Monster Rancher is Dead Beyblade is....................irrelevant imo. Everything looks about right. :)
i dont want a reskin... I want to raise my digimon from small to branching digivolutions depending on different factors. Maybe more akin to monster rancher
MrKinds01 I agree with you! And the fact that we don't have to DNA digivolve to gain levels (Refering to DW2s leveling syste,) is a huge leap. I'm looking forward to it.
Aurora Nightheart it is.. and i read some tips about it for those who played japan version .. the game kinda pretty "easy" also DLC seriously hardest then last boss ingame i mean demon lord quest each 1 are freakin imba you need seriously prepare... also to levelling quit fast if you know how to do.. collect exp usb and add 3 platinum sukamon in your party...there's many tips but we need to explore the ingame to know more haha2
this is awesome I love how it looks and the sounds rocks. I reminds me of digimon world 3 ,dawn and, dusk. I can't wait to see more and look at all of those classic digimon etemon, Gatomon, metalgreymon, lilamon, and kyubimom
+The FanboyKiller It's an updated vita game, they don't make sounds in the Vita version either, other than that it's a massive game with 100s of digimon (you can literally have your digimon change in several things and those change into several different things) and so on. That would have cost an arm and leg to record sounds for every single attack.Also for all those saying it's an early bulid...it's not really it's less than 6 months out and also it's just an uprezzed port and given an English translaltion.

Even shouting the name, the second and later has generated Tower of Druaga dungeons, capturing monsters with items like Pokemon, one monster learning more than 6 techniques, 3D animated, it has a Card Battle, an Arena with trophies and classes, evolving-items, equipments, recruitable monsters, SIM-like trainings, happiness-discipline-potty gauge, upgradeable gyms, and probably over 300 monsters and around 100-200 obtainable. Yet no one bats an eye. Tch.
When does this game come out because I'm dying to make a Let's Play of this game. Digimon was my childhood and I'll postpone whatever I'm currently playing just to play through this. So glad Digimon is starting to get localized and dubbed again. So many good games we missed out on over the years.
I truly believe the Re:Digitize Series & this one are the pinnacle of Digimon games. If this game goes well, they should just make this the staple for how Digimon games play.
I thought they were going to use all sub/original attack names, then i noticed, they still use 'Electro shocker' kabuterimon's attack name in dub, i like how they seem to use both sub and dub attack names
+Freezient Kabuterimon's original attack name is "Mega Blaster", so I think "Electro Shocker" is suitable. All of the Digimon terminology like places, names, events, etc. have been changed, re-localized and/or re-adapted to something for an international audience.
Having DemiDevimon in the game and as a digimon on your side is worth the pre order imo =p Love that Cute Digimon that looks like a Bowling ball with wings!
+Miguel Luis Estrada Yes there are some Digimon to choose at the beginning. They evolve by leveling up and respecting certain statistics. Statistics that can be modified separately, like all the other titles of the Digimon.
KiKo Tsukino You scan them, when you encounter a Digimon it gives a %, at 100 you create that Digimon, but it can go further to 200% for better stats, Digimon have multiple Digivolutions routes but you choose if or when it will Digivolve.
A new digimon game? WHAT IS THIS SORCERY? im so pumped up i love how theyve finally gone and made a new digimon game. this and the collectors complete selection digivices its a good year for digimon to return.
if you like typical JRPG games then you would enjoy it a little bit but since i'm a fan of the series and played every Digimon game, I can't be sure if it would be enjoyable for those who didn't follow digimon (general background about the games and the anime would be enough thou)
It looks pretty dope , sadly i do not own a ps4 , i still remember how much fun digimon world 3 was if this game is anything like that it'll be great guys , enjoy it for me :D
+Masterofvore8 what this person says is correct. every time you fight a specific digimon (excluding bosses), you get a certain percentage of data, once you reach 100% you can "convert" it into an actual digimon, you can actually get up to 999% data, going above 100 will increase the base stats of the digimon created.
this is just an early version of the game, lets not jump to conclusions here, they did have voice acting, go watch some of the newer videos, of course they wont add everything to a demo
This Game Looks Freaking Sweet! I've been waiting since Digimon World Dusk on the Ds for a good Digimon RPG to come out in the west! I can't wait to team up with guilmon!
This game looks awsome. Can't wait to grab it myself when it come out next week. Shame the battle system from digimon world(ps1) died out....I really liked it. Letting the digimon fight for themselves,only stepping in to give them healing and things...
I was really expecting more of this. The attack animations are.....so.....simple...for a PS4 game. I think Digimon World 3 has better attack animation than this. This might be the only thing that is a total letdown for me for this game. The rest is really great. I like the music in tha background. I like the persona like dungeons. And the graphics are ok but it would had been better as a ps3 game. :D I'll get it one day.
As said, its originally a Vita game, the only reason a PS4 version exists is because the Vita failed horribly in the west and the PS3 was abandoned in the west pretty quickly, with PS3 game sales dropping like rocks
+POKENAR Sadly I have a PS3 and would buy this game in a heartbeat if it had a PS3 version. Instead I'll just have to buy a Vita to be able to play it.
Roger França I already had a Vita due to P4G and Tales of Hearts R. as for a PS4, every time a company gives me a reason to get one, they announce either a Vita or PC version, so I just haven't been able to justify the price tag yet.
