I mean, why would people bring up characters like that to fight canon Goku in the first place? Like Goku is the strongest 'normal' character. Why bring powers like that? If you have to do it, put them up against CC Goku or Xeno Goku.
@@Ben_ten82298 I am not talking about that, I am talking about the fact that, ofcourse Alien x, Rimuru or Lucifer morningstar is gonna beat canon Goku. They are extra dimensional entities with plot manipulation. Goku is a 'normal' character. He is 3d with some influence in the fourth dimension if you scale him really high. It's like saying infinite void would effect Naruto or Goku even though they don't have cursed energy. Goku and Naruto are simply out of the domain( by domain I mean what it can interact with, what it can harm, not domain expansion) of Infinite voids mechanism, or like how domain amp nullifies curse techniques but can't nullify a nuclear warhead. It's pretty simple. Out of the mainstream anime/cartoons that zoomers and milenials grew up with dragonball is the one where people blow up/shake entire planets when fighting
But since it's because of how the verse power system work and it make everything easier, even fucking Luffy could blow up the solars system in DB. Nothing impressive with shaking the Earth when you need the power of a small nuke to destroy the Moon.
@@Narrativerse Lol, what an idiot... That's the dumbest excuse i've ever heard, no the planets or anything else is not weaker. it has the same durability like anything else in other shows... And piccolo's ki blast was certainly not as weak as a nuke. Luffy can't even destroy a proper island and yu say he can destroy the solar system? keep coping
Saibaman can likely destroy Earth, definitely Surface wipe at least. Kanzenshu says 10,000 is required to blow up a planet, which is backed up by King Vegeta in the anime, who was below 10,000, casually destroying three planets. And it's confirmed that Earth is a small planet in terms of mass compared to average planets in the DBverse, with Planet Vegeta, King Kais Planet, and Pui Puis planet all having 10x the gravity of Earth, so logically, it'd make sense that Saibamen at 1200-1500 might be able to destroy small planets like Earth
@@prolastmedia6171 it’d also make sense the Frieza force the military that specializes in transactional planetary genocide would develop the saibamen to be able to wipe out planet surfaces. Since that’s what they did with Saiyan children and they won’t want to waste resources like the main army to kill planets that are stuck in the Stone Age
feel like it would have been a good idea to also mention his hax resist, like flexing off hakai, being immune to illusion magic, having soul resist etc...
The hakai thing isn't just exclusive to him. Hakai simply won't erase anyone stronger than the one casting it, you can pretty much just overcome it and goku can. Though if beerus casts hakai on goku, he's dead since goku is weaker than beerus. As for illusion and soul resistance, I have no clue about that so I don't know
@@thespectresocietythat’s true about hakai, but in dragon hall it’s pretty consistent that if you’re strong enough or have enough ki you can overcome most hax abilities, like mind control or time skip

They NEVER said to themeselves "Waoh , he can do that and a galaxy is much bigger than planets and Sun , it means he can generate X amount of energy and travel this fast..." NEVER
its kinda surprising that more mainstream shonen dont adopt similar power tiers from how influential dragon ball is (not in terms of power creep, but in terms of being inspired to do something to a similar scale), but it also makes sense because the whole focus of dragon ball is that it takes place across its universe (to put it simply) instead of just one planet like in most shonen
@qlitch nah DragonBall by far has one of the worst power systems due to the insane power cliffing. So many characters become irrelevant and scale gets out of control fast. Toriyama played fast and loose and you can tell it hurt consistency later on. Speed feats and statements don't match each other. Despite how people scale goku toriyama is never consistent at all with his scaling.
@@qlitch I think most mangas nowadays implement a capstone character to limit the power ceiling. like Gojo, All might, and Sakamoto. You can still have multiple tiers of powers below said character but the cap will always be them if not just slightly above them. I think this solves the power levels from going out of control while still having a consistent story.
Though not stated Dragonball characters can negate hax when their opponents are weaker than them. Goku and jiren surpassed hits time skip. Vegito got turned into candy and retained consciousness etc
It seems more like hax in Dragon Ball don’t work against stronger characters as a rule rather than being stronger negating hax. It sounds like the same thing, but it’s actually different. Like Hit’s Time Skip being noted to be less effective the larger the gap in power is to his opponents favor Someone like say…DIO or someone like that who’s much weaker than Goku stat wise doesn’t have the in verse rule of time stop not working on stronger characters, it just works regardless Compared to a verse like say…Bleach where it’s stated that significantly stronger spiritual energy negates the hax of weaker characters rather than weaker abilities having the inherent weakness of not working on stronger people TLDR: In DB it seems like the weakness of hax abilities in the verse don’t work on stronger people as a in verse rule rather than the rule being stronger people cancel out all hax. It doesn’t matter for in verse since it’s essentially the same but in cross verse settings where characters from other series hax do work on stronger people, it makes a difference
@@jocoolshow I agree, but it does get pretty hard to blur the lines on when Goku should be able to defeat X character because he can surpass their hax ability and when X character's hax abilities will work on Goku regardless of how strong they are in comparison to Goku.
@@jocoolshow That may be partially accurate but some weakling with a weak conceptual warping ability wouldn't work on them even though they don't have innate resistance to concept warping, or at least it wouldn't work the way it normally would, resistance as opposed to immunity
Not gonna cap, very depressed with everything going on in my life despite my best efforts. This video helped out a bit so thanks not a lot going right for me lately.
I agree with everything except for saying Goku is extremely dumb. Ignorance is different then lacking intelligence (like Goku never being taught what kissing is) - he passed an exam specifically designed to measure intelligence on a universal average. In U7 majority of species we see have fairly advanced technology and knowledge. So although Goku seems dumb due to lack of knowledge his level of intelligence is actually very underrated. Remember, he never actually went to school or was taught any thing outside of martial arts.
master roshi did teach him basic reading and writing as well as basic math because during their training he discovered goky couldnt read and added it to their regimen, as well as stating that training the mind is just as important, so he wasnt just taught martial arts.
@@Aqsticgod Okay but lets not pretend Roshi teaching Goku 2+2 is the same as a real education lol - regardless , doesn't change the fact Goku has a good intelligence feat
No, Goku's intelligence is not underrated. Barely passing an "average intelligence written exam" is not a good feat. For all we know universe 6 and 7 could inhabit thrice as many cavemen races for every intelligent race, which would set the average pretty low. And even if we say most races generally have the same average IQ, as I said, barely passing an average test means you are probably dumber than the average person. Take Goku for what he is, a lovable dumbass
Goku also has a very good understanding of nature. He knows what is poisonous, how to create herbal medicine and how not to disturb the habitat of animals..
The reason I don’t like the “he’s the best martial artist” statement is because it never matters when someone is physically stronger than him, even by a little. All that skill means nothing and it’s dumb and shouldn’t be that way but look at his fight with Frieza, Frieza had never trained a day in his life but landed pretty much every hit and won until Goku went super saiyan. It’s the same to me as saying a trained martial artist would lose to Bradley Martyn because he’s “260 tho”.
@@sptflcrw8583 their were two guys in college wrestling that were able to take on a bear and live because of their training, their are guys who literally wrestle alligators for a living, there are guys who fought kangaroos and won, you can beat something stronger than you if you have better combat experience. Also if that wasn’t true, martial arts would be pointless then, any person who’s physically stronger than you slightly would win all the time since skill won’t matter.
@seanwuzhere12 a small to medium strength difference, sure. But there's a reason weight classes exist, for example. Take the world champion featherweight boxer and put him up against just an average heavyweight, and the featherweight is going to get smoked. Any real martial artist will tell you that they don't make you invincible.
@@sptflcrw8583 actually I’ve seen that already. Look up mightymouse (Demetrius Johnson), one of if not the greatest fighter alive, took on someone 100 pounds difference and won. So again, skill does make up for the difference and if not then martial arts are useless.
You should also follow it up with the intellegence of goku throughout Dragon ball z and (possibly GT). It is one of attributes that is worsen from Dragon Ball Super, given many of the character feels "dumb downed" and does certain action that doesnt really make sense or the writer attempts to make a "call back" to the original shows but doesnt fit with the context that is presented (i.e Goku giving the senzu beans to cell vs moro). Here my list that i can come up with goku's intellegence feat. 1) Able to figure out that Kami life is link to the dragon ball at the end of DB, after an intense fight between piccolo. 2) Able to figure out that Frieza cannot sense Ki energy in the middle of the fight, then decides to perform a sneak attack (using the kamehameha in the ocean to put his focus on them then does drop kick). 3) Being able to stall for time enough for the spirit ball to grow as strong as it was during the Frieza Fight. 4) Able to Perform SSJ ascended Form (and the implied Ultra SSJ) and figuring out the weakness of it in one go, then being able to identify the strength and weakness of SSJ then creates SSJ mastered Form. 5) Being able to know that alot of his past actions caused many issues in the present time, thus decided to let him self stay in the afterlife, rather than being resurrected. This implies he has some from of self-aware of his own actions. this also goes with ... 6) Although being very stubborn, he really wants his kids to be the next generation of strong fighters or protectors (i.e Cell vs Gohan, he couldve trained more, couldve fought more, couldve not given the beans, but wanted Gohan to have a fair fight as he knew he had the potential to be stronger then him, or against Buu, he stated himself that he could've killed off fat Buu, but decided to let the younger generation to take care of him as he believe that it wasnt his place to do so as he was dead. I believe Six made a video on this. 7) Although, plot wise, was useless, he did invent SSJ 3 by himself. 8) Against Future Trunks, although it was implied that he used a "technique" as he stated he searched his "feelings" (Eng dub), it is also just possible that he sensed his ki, and made the duduction that he wasnt going to fully commit his first strike or even possibly based on muscle movement (given real life implication). 9) Although it is possible that he learnt that by the Kai's , he also knows how reincarnation works within the Dragon ball Universe (i.e with evil buu). Although, all he did was ask King Yemma, It does imply that he know the rules / laws of being dead. 10) In DBZ, he knows when to backdown from a unwinnable fight, (i.e 2nd form cell), Knows if the opponent is too strong and admits it (Perfect Cell), and knows when to fight or not (I.e he was originally not willing to fight with Majin Vegeta given the fact that Buu was an issue and knows if they fought, it would enable Buu from being released, however, was forced to after Vegeta, killing a bunch of people, and knows it was inevitable. He also knows that the only reason why Vegeta really wanted to fight was because of his Pride, and that decided to give him a "fair" fight). For a follow up, the trope of Goku wanting to fight everyone is really something that is shown in Dragon Ball Super exclusively . Every single fight in Dragon ball , Dragon Ball Z and Dragon ball GT was caused outside of his control or threaten the destruction of Earth or humanity. It is like being pointed by a gun and being commanded to do something, and being told that, "oh because you did this, this means you love doing it".
Vs Cell the senzu bean was also strategic,Goku knows that in the state Cell was in if Gohan cornered him without SSJ2 Cell wouldve just blown up the planet as a tantrum, something that happened anyway cause ot Gohan's arrogance but if Gohan wasnt arrogant Cell would've never had the chance
Goku isn't dumb in super lol He tricked frieze into believing he was going to revive him after the tournament (earth dragon balls only revive someone once) Figured out how hit abilities worked on the spot Mastering ssb Mastering ultra instinct after using it only twice Tricking gas into have a cat and dog chase around the entire universe He isn't dumb. He just doesn't show this every time
@@Zeno1781 He is incredibly dumb in Super, more so than in Z. I recently binged most of Dragon Ball and started bingeing Super (after never watching or reading it before) and I can tell you Goku is super flanderized in it. A lot of it is just inconsistencies with how he's behaved in the past, but there's thing like kid Trunks saying that he knows Goku is stupid enough to fall for petty tricks regarding Beerus and Monaka.
The thing i hate the most about people who argue Goku would lose vs matches is that they're either the worst type of powerscaler or they're the worst type of dragon ball fan (you can't watch 2 episodes and say you're a fan)
I think I've so gotten tired of Goku vs debating to the point where I neither feel joy or dismay at the idea of Goku beating or losing against non Dragon Ball characters anymore. Like damn i just miss the pre Super days when the fanbase was still chill and i like Super too.
they also need to take in accoiunt the rules of each character. Biggest thing people bring up is hax. (Giorno, Infinite Void, etc). But if you apply the rules for those characters and verses, you need to apply the same rules to DB. In DB, if a character is simply beyond another in power, they cancel out abilities. This is shown with Hit's Timeskip and even Hakai (when used by non-GoD characters)
Goku does that by overpowering their Ki, the best out-of-universe analogy is what Aizen did to Soi-Fon. By this logic, any character who doesn't have Ki can't use hax on Goku, which gets more and more stupid once you start putting him up against characters like Galactus and Darkseid who would both realistically view Goku as fiction if they even noticed his existence at all.
@@HOLDENPOPE Ki is just energy, if your hax is or stems from energy, then ki can cancel it out if there's a huge enough amount of it. This is pretty consistently shown in DBZ, DBS, even the non-canon series like Xenoverse, Online, Hero's.
The problem with beating goku is that no author (that I know of) set out to make a character stronger than Goku. That's the only way you could because Goku has built up his strength the past 40 years or so. The only people who could maybe beat him were just gave broken abilities that's it.
Literally yeah. Saitama has infinitely expanding speed and strength. At best Goku could match him, but then would be outclassed soon. Plus, Saitama is a joke character, and his existence makes sure that the joke would never stop.
All i know is saitama solos DBZ. When him and garou wiped out those solar systems and galaxies, no one in DBZ ever did anything close. Kid buu was sais to only be able to destroy a galaxy overtime and the closest we got to universal was buuhan. Again, overtime.
@Replies.Delete.SometimesIDKy z fighters have excellent ki control. They can curve their ki attacks. I always thought that was bs. Like you dodge a Kamehameha or galick gun and they can legit curve it to hit you if they're fast enough.
@@Replies.Delete.SometimesIDKy Current Saitama scales to early Buu Saga levels. Though, he'd likely quickly go beyond this. Him vs Kid Buu would be really interesting because Buu isnt the type of opponent that can be destroyed with a normal punch, Buu can also learn techniques from seeing them once and is highly adaptable. Saitama would probably win by bullshitting some "serious disintegration punch" though
I like how you are not saying things for increased debate you are just delivering the truth with good evidence. I like unbiased truth when diving into these topics not censoring the scaling for protecting the feelings of other fan bases. Dragonball might not even be a top 3 anime for me but the scaling is very interesting to try to understand
I kinda like more grounded verses that cap out near planet level tops because it becomes strange to always say yeah the being that can implode the universe just met a guy that can do that only more strongerer in order to raise the stakes
The simple solution would be to just make it a competition of skill and technique at that point, which dragon ball has somehow only now figured out in the latest manga chapters. They're seemingly getting ready to do away with the powerscaling contests with Vegeta claiming that their bodies are about as strong as they can be and it's purely a matter of martial arts skill and mastering themselves to make further improvement, hence Vegeta now meditating instead of doing physical training. But knowing DB they'll get bored of real plot progression and go back to strength contest fights again within a year.
@@EnbyOccultist Jojo's decided to make that turn way early, which is why nowadays Stands are so uniquely busted that they become difficult to scale against other characters in a fight
Can people beat the actual in character goku? Alot of them yes, especially ones with hax. Can they beat the not playing around goku people make up for vs battles that speed blitzes and goes all out from the start? No
Ultra Instinct removes the in character argument. In Ultra Instinct Goku doesn't even think, his body automatically makes the most efficient moves in combat. So even "in character", Ultra Instinct Goku isn't getting caught off guard or stuck in a weird hax

Tbh, there was a time I cared like can goku beat superman? but then as you mature as a person, you're like meh. However, that is not why I watch dragon ball or any fictional piece if they are strong or not, its their character arcs, struggles and stories they went through that got them so strong. Nowadays superheroes and anime characters just seem to get op instantaneously and it's all just hype but I also understand that people are less patient these days, so they have to come up with these quick power ups and quirks to intrigue them.
It bugs me that people think Goku can beat Saitama when he loses to Arale for the same reason he’d lose to Saitama, he’s a parody of Goku, not Goku specifically but all powercreep characters in shonen. Saitama has literally never been in danger, regardless of who he’s facing, and he never will be.
in order to fight goku you gotta be inf speed, 4th dimensional, above space and time, crazy hax manipulation, omniversal (if you wanna include manga goku,) and then have the skill and growth rate to keep up. Low- key impossible unless you speed blitz inf speed i guess.

Which is faIse if your a powerscaler and know how some of these verses are. Multiversal and MFTL plus is mid tier compared to all of fiction. Once you start getting into higher dimensions like 5 or 6D, then you start getting somewhere decent. Also DB's lack of hax also makes it not impressive compared to fiction because most higher dimensional characters have rediculous hax like beig able to rewrite laws or make a "stronger than x" sword. While DB is just punching, kicking and lasers.
@Replies.Delete.SometimesIDKy dragon ball characters doesn't need crazy complex hax, because they can just easily overpower them if thier that stronger then the opponent or the hax, that's how it works with dragon ball characters, like when Jiren broke through Hits time prison, and Goku and Frieza resisting hakai which is existence erasure. Also dragon ball scales much higher then multiversal and MFTL by absurd degree if you actually know the cosmology.
I mean yeah, like you said, a character that negates the durability and/or speed could take the W. Doesn't that mean that if Sukuna landed the same World Splitting Slash he did on Gojo he'd split Goku in half? It's always hax tho. Goku is just that strong and even then you gotta hope the hax your character has can even be used to begin with. Remember seeing arguments about stuff like Madoka the magical girl and all that. She has hax but theoretically she probably wouldn't be able to use them on Goku anyways. Goku probably wouldn't be able to do anything to her either but still. In that scenario it'd just be a stalemate/no contest I guess. Not even worth talking about to begin with.

I love how you mentioned more than just power to much scalers are stupid and rely on only pure power off statements Burning Godzilla is potentially universal / multiversal + (all though in the movies he doesnt seem to be even any higher than planetary as a high ball) But even if we were to assume Burning Godzilla was multiversal +, Goku is MULTIPLE times above the speed of light by ALOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT meaning the likely hood of burning godzilla ever hitting him in the first place is...Little to none
Goku has had the training and experience of like ten protagonists going from dragonball to super. The amount of times he's had to grind under a new teacher, reach a new level of power, and improve his overall skillset means he's a huge benchmark in our eyes. It's the same reason Superman is used in that argument with most comic characters. With his history of powers and feats, he's a big benchmark for power.
Not to mention Goku can master any technique after seeing it once and can beat opponents many times stronger than him, by getting stronger during the fight
That's a no-limits fallacy. He probably can't master a technique that requires a completely different power system and does something completely different to any technique in DB.
You can make arguments that he could copy hand-to-hand combat techniques but when it comes to power, if it is not ki based or similar to it then Goku cannot copy it especially if it is a completely different power system
@@OyinkansolaAgboola God ki was something that didn’t exist until Super. He copied it during his fight against Beerus after being exposed to it. There is nothing to suggest that Goku can’t copy other power systems even outside of DB he just hasn’t been exposed to any because he only exists in the DB universe. If he enters something like Naruto or JJK he can probably learn their power system.
Average dragon ball fans challenge try not to buly other people because the character they like is weeker than the character they like difficulty impossible
@@princenwaegerue4705 I don't even compare characters to goku in my free time and it's the type of dragon ball fan that say goku solo in fights that have nothing to due with even when goku dose doesn't mean you have to point it out not like people go out there to say the galactus solos demon salyer but say goku beats x character all the most people know goku beat tanjiro there is no point on making mactups like gouk versus tanjro when you don't even have to be a power scaler to know who win people say goku solos to characters with weeker verses say that just to buly them for like a weaker universe.
I’ve literally never seen this happen I do see Naruto one piece and bleach now jjk fans comparing their characters to goku in a vs which is just weird cause we all know they don’t stand a chance so like why even bring it up just corny
Other fandoms compare their character to Goku whenever they receive a new power up or they do something impressive, and when the Goku fans respond to it, they give them the "YOU ARE A GOKU GLAZER" and I am like "IF THEY ARE GOKU GLAZERS THEN WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS COMPARING YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS TO GOKU IN THE FIRST PLACE, THAT MEANS YOUR CANNOT GET GOKU OUT OF YOUR HEAD"
Making a whole lot of great points 9:43 except when people are lying 9:53 and it's arguable that solar system is actually a galaxy, as galaxies are universal quadrants in deagon ball (solar system = galaxy, galaxy = quadrant) And it'd scale better, Freiza should easily be solar system+ at least
I personally dislike Goku vs videos because canonically in his own stories, he seldom wins a major 1v1. He likes to fight for sport and winning isn't as important as feeling out the fight. Forfeiting against Cell rather than fighting till his dying breath. Forfeiting against Fat Buu to give Gotenks a shot. Crushing Potara to have a fair, unfused fight against Pure Buu. Forfeiting against Hit in the U6v7 arc. Goku doesn't have a problem with losing; and taking personality into account, I would personally write him to lose most vs battles to other IPs even to vastly weaker opponents because he *doesn't* revel in total domination or bullying. As evidently portrayed when sparring against Fit Buu and Krillin in the last hours before the ToP, he played around and he lost the fight. Now, take Saiyan Saga Vegeta, King Cold or Pure Buu who'd have no problem to start the fight off with a planet busting attack or kick an opponent when they're down, that's a story I'd like to write/read.
I keep hearing about the saint saya, Rimiru and that demon lord can easily take goku. But I never hear anything that even sounds impressive in comparison.
Pre watch: Devil Hulk/ current fractured son is my favorite mc rn. Devil hulk had that dawg in him and was extremely protective of bruce. Loved how he was basically his dad that series. Then left when bruce was at peace. Also, immortal thor has been interesting, and i been loving miles morales comics(miles aint beating goku without being cosmic miles again tho)😂
@@messiahraxor1455 it’s just a joke lil bro that’s the whole point 😂 but there’s still a handful of people who can’t take goku & there’s a large majority that can.
