Sui bian is my favorite because it’s funny how annoying it is when my family all say sui bian when we’re trying to decide what to eat and hours go by and we still can’t make a decision 🤣 I really like your teaching style!! 謝謝你! :)
Thank you for these videos! My wife's family is Taiwanese and I have been having a hard time finding videos and materials that teach the Chinese spoken in Taiwan! Now I'll be more prepared for when we go back to Taiwan!
I first time heard a zai, gan en, chao qiiang, tao yan. My favourite are zhen de, and zhen de jia de... my Taiwanese friends and I alwaysss use these two.. sometimes they just say zhen jia haha.. Gan En teacher Lin...for me you're the best Taiwanese Mandarin teacher so far in youtube... keep it up!!!
My husband is Taiwanese and I really want to learn his language. The good thing is he can speak and understand English 😊so that's how we communicate. He want me to learn how to speak and understand mandarin especially in Taiwan😊 He's been teaching me but I just can't say it correctly especially the proper tones 😅 I know it takes time and more practice😌 so I won't give up 😅 I'm so glad I found your channel 😌 this is really useful and will help me to learn more of the language . I'll look forward to more of your amazing tutorials😌😊
I’m so grateful with your channel Lin 老師 謝謝你感恩❤️❤️❤️ i always say “我很謝謝你” when i wanna to thanks alot to others. So, now i can use 謝謝你感恩 to say thanks alot😊
so helpful! i migrated to australia from singapore when i was younger so a lot of my mandarin is forgotten. Your videos motivate me to keep learning, so thank you!!!
Thank you so much for this video I am Taiwanese myself but right now I'm learning the characters. It makes it easier for me to read the characters when you put the spelling below it. Thank You 😆
Nice video. I've been away from Taiwan for 15 years but it is good to know that my Chinese hasn't deteriorated too much. I knew all the phrases except "ah zai" but I did know the full version "wa m' zai". My Taiwanese isn't very good but I do know a little.
Hen lan is easily my favorite. What other channel is going to teach me how to say something sucks?? I appreciate the casual phrases people use all the time.
Keep up the good work Miss Lin. So difficult to find good sources of Taiwanese Mandarin lessons. A zai / dou keyi a/ Sui bian are such useful casual phrases to know. Please keep more video lessons coming. The format you use is clear and fun to watch too.
well I found the part 2 LOL hahah :D I really find your videos VERY VERY helpful because of the simplified, traditional, zhuyin and pinyin. 好厲害喔. 謝謝妳, 加油 :))
Love your content, been watching and waiting for your video weekly after discovering you on RU-vid over the last month. The way you explain is very clear and authentic. It’s exactly the type of content that I’ve been searching for. So glad to have found you, please keep up the good work. Also let us know how we can support you!!! 加油!
I watch too much Taiwanese drama. This list made me laugh.I could think of a drama scene from my favourite dramas for almost every phrase. lol. My personal fave is zenme keneng. I say it in my head when I see or hear ridiculous things and I am terrifed that one of these days, it will slip out. lol
I really love your pronunciation. I got a little intimidate by other Taiwanese mandarin speakers on youtube, they spoke sooo fast and also less pronounced and clean than you. For some reason you have more emotion and variation in your voice which makes it much easier for me to reproduce your vocals. Thank you!!!
When I first saw one of your videos, I thought that all this cuteness was just you being you, but it turned out being a very common feature of the Taiwanese accent, hahaha. I love to listen to it! 😊 Keep the videos coming, 加油吧!
Hi! I'd like to point out just a little detail, I think "加班" is "overtime; to work overtime", not "overnight", which I think it would be "過夜", anyhooooo thanks for the lesson, learned many new things! :3
Thank you so much for these videos! I've been looking around and there aren't very many good resources to study Taiwanese style Mandarin and I'm super glad that a found your channel! 感恩 I'm also wondering if people really pronounce 謝謝 as se4h se4h?
Nate Springer in Taiwan we call Mandarin Chinese 國語(national language; country’s language). 臺語 a.k.a Taiwanese or 閩南話( min nan hua), Which only sometimes sounds like Chinese Mandarin:) My 臺語, Taiwanese, isn’t as fluent as my mom. Gotta invite her to my channel when next time I’m back to Taiwan 😛🇹🇼But good suggestion!
Super vidéo. My teacher told me about fan! But i use it with Hen " Hen fan le " is it also good? Chinese people never understand when i write it. Thank you for valide it again.
Josselin Clairet 謝謝你:) Thank you! I think you might mix this “很hen+adjective” with the expression “太tai+adj+了le. “ We usually say 好煩hao fen, for expressing our instant feeling. Or 很煩 is we’re talking about the fact. But NOT hen fan le. I understand but it sounds strange to me:)
That 超強 kind of reminded me of the 牛逼 of 大陸 . I fluent in Chinese styled mandarin but I’ve taken an interest in some Taiwanese slang so 3Q for the tips

'liked' Thank you for the video. 2:46 *o shi o* (is that so). I have heard one Taiwanese person say *o zhei yangzi a* when someone is narrating about an incident. *Gan en* (Thank you / I am grateful). Would *ganxie* be too formal? Is that more used in written language than spoken? Thank you
Ab Ab 謝謝你🤗💗Exactly! o zhe yangzi a 這樣子啊 is also common. But o shi o is much colloquial. For instance, my dad says a lot o zhe yang zi a. For your second question, 感恩 can be used in every situation. Formal or informal. It sounds sincere and deep thanks.
@@MandarinWithMissLin thanks. I am wondering if 'o shi o' is more popular among the younger generation and "zhe yang zi a" among the older. Because the person I mentioned is also older.
good question! 一樣的喔!Same. However, as mentioned in the video, just「水」means beautiful, brilliant in Taiwanese, a dialect, widely used in Taiwan. Which is very more”local” and casual than 厲害.
My mandarin basis is a bit weird. My main dialect at home is Teo chow. I went to Chinese school to learn Cantonese but over time they transitioned to Mandarin. At first I learned Guo Yu then Pu Tong Hua so my Mandarin basis is a bit weird learning both zhuyin & pinyin. One question is, how do you say something simple like... "I want this one" or "I want that one" in Guo Yu is it the same as Pu Tong Hua?
國語guo yu is how we call Mandarin in Taiwan, or you can call it Hua yu. Pu tong Hua is how people in China call Mandarin Chinese. We all speak Mandarin but with different accent, word choice...etc. You could check out this video to see a complete explanation about ordering things:) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dlWu5Jad6sk.html
